What a breathtaking view of the Rocky Mountains and the beautiful landscapes of the Pacific Northwest! Thanks for sharing this stunning aerial footage of the Alaska Airlines flight landing at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The video captures the essence of the natural beauty of the region, from the rugged mountain ranges to the vast stretches of land and waterways. It's amazing to see the iconic Space Needle and the urban landscape of Seattle from a bird's eye view. This video truly reminds us of the sheer magnitude and beauty of our world!
Great views of the mountains! Thanks for showing this. I haven't flown since I was in the Army 50+ years ago. I'd imagine air travel has changed a lot since then. I'll never forget the flight from California to Vietnam by way of Honolulu, Wake Island, Guam, and Manilla. With several hours wait (they let us get off the plane) at each of those places, the trip took 28 hours. By the time we got to Saigon, we didn't even know what day it was.
Such a great view from up in the air 0:35 , mountain ranges look great 😎What a view 57:43 Seattle looks awesome ,great flight 😎Thank you for sharing A K 🙂👍!!!
I'm a bit confused here. Are you indicating the Rocky Mountains are in Washington State? They aren't. We have three mountain ranges here ... The Olympics, the Cascades, and the Blue Mountains. For the Rockies, you would need to travel several hundred miles to the east to Montana for those. Nevertheless, the Cascades (the central mountain range here) are SPECTACULAR!! I've lived in Washington State all my life and I don't want to live anywhere else!!

33:33 To the right of the "dragon's mouth" is the Grand Coulee Dam, the largest hydropower producer in the United States. Supplies electricity to eight states and Canada.
Gorgeous views of the Rocky Mountains covered in snow in the beginning! 🏔😍 41:12 Stunning views of mountain ranges covered in snow! 59:05 Spotted the Space Needle near the bottom left and amazing views of the Downtown Seattle! 🤩 That was a smooth landing and I'm glad you had a safe flight. 😃 Thank you for sharing this landing video, AK! 🤗🛬
@@ksl177 He stated in the video description that he started recording in Montana. How can that be the Cascades if it took over an hour, as shown in this video, to arrive in Seattle? FYI - He flew from JFK.
Most of this video is the Cascade range. Although it does appear he started filming in Northern Rockies. The rest of those snow capped mountains are the Cascades.
Rockies are the first mountains visible, second are the Cascades. Be cautious when correcting others, always make sure you're doing so with correct information!
Amazing video, AK. Thanks for sharing out state with the world. You may have noticed the terrain difference between E WA and W WA. E WA is much more dessert like and W WA is more green. The cascade mountains creates a huge rain shadow where W WA sees a lot of rain and E WA gets rain shadowed. Love how your video shows this.
The Space Needle's retro orange roof will go back to subtle white next month. Some folks were saying the orange resembled a hypodermic needle. I liked it but they weren't wrong.

Technically the Rockies stretch into Northeast WA just north of Spokane. But you are correct most of this video is the Cascades.

Lots of snowcapped mountains.. looks similar to our socal snowcapped mountains this winter.
Beautiful!

First mountains were Rockies, second were Cascades.

No Rocky mountains in this video, that's the Cascades.

That's not the Rockies, you're about 1000 miles too far north. That's the Cascade Mountains.

Mount Rainier aka Washington's Ice-cream cone.
😍😍😍😍😍
Wow…Look at those beautiful ice topped mountains. You should make a shorter version including best parts. An hour+ is too long…
You're not in New York anymore Action kid
Please go see the Cherry Blossoms there....before they fall off
the landing was hard enough)) I haven't flown for a long time, but even visually the pre-landing descent was very fast!
No it wasn't. It was a NORMAL landing Skippy.
Cascades not Rockie mountains but ok
Actually both could be seen but ok
