I think it's important to point out the dovetail construction of the drawers. Most RV's just have stapled together plywood boxes. It shows the attention to detail and quality of construction.
I like that more class B's are going to the long seating areas on each side and doing away with the mini dinette thing, which is just a waste of space imo.
what I like about the mini dinette is that it takes advantage of turning the front two seats around. in the long bench design in the back, the front two seats have little use except for actual driving.
This is a nice liking class B. I like it. I don’t think I have a dislike with this one. Just that not much storage but it will do fir this class B. It’s very nice. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
Absolutely love the coachman! This is the greatest floor plan and I love fords! I am afraid its getting out of my price range wish I would have bought something when I first start watching you in 2019 ! Love your videos
Nice layout and space. Adding a convection microwave/oven would have been a great add. The price was surprisingly high since one can get an oddessy class c for much less with many more features.
I don't like the awning sticking out in front it looked like they didn't have the right size and grabbed what they had. Also, what is up with the head of the bed. Is it an oops or were you missing something? The pop-up seemed like a great idea, but not if you have to leave the back van door open. 🤔 loved the rest.
I agree with Andrea about the step up being a negative. I'm over 6'3" and I'd rather have the extra head clearance (at ceiling and cabinets) rather than the storage. Another point being without the raised floor there would be more window view area because the back cushions wouldn't conceal the lower part of the window. Also, that would solve the problem with the cabinet that Andrea doesn't like. If the floor wasn't raised. And the cabinet was shorter with the TV mounted higher someone could sleep with their head in that direction. That would probably give you another 12" of clearance. Or option #2 would be just use all overhead cabinets and lose some storage. Last negative for me is the bathroom doors being like shower doors and only semi- private.
The Ford Transit is a great riding and driving van. I go back and forth between a Transit school van and a Ford Escape every day and the both handle the same way!
I like that one! One thing that’d be helpful is if the tanks are fully enclosed (and maybe insulated) and if it has a decent heater. These could be perfect for skiers and winter adventures, but getting it truly 4 season capable seems to be a challenge.
I wish they would use the benches or bedding that Beyond has in the rear bath. Those cushions are 5 in wider which makes a little bit more narrow walkway but.....
Matt, I think you said you wouldn't be able to close the door when using the toilet? That certainly should have been the #2 Dislike. Don't think that would work for a fulltime RVer, not enough storage, but it is beautiful and on a great Ford platform.
Did you mention the "garage space" under the dinette? That's why there's a step up. It provides really valuable storage. We have this model and love it! Those are dinette benches, not beds, not meant to be beds. But the bed is easy enough to make up. We chose this make and model out of all the camper vans and are really happy with it. Ours is a lithium model (Li3) so never have to run a generator.
Hey Matt, your videos are great! They’re super entertaining and I love the way you and Andrea show the RVs. I think you make a great team (plus I’m obsessed with Andrea, lol!).
Not having a garage for bikes, etc. is a deal breaker for me. Why can't these "name brands" have a stationary or raise and lower bed in the back like most of the self- built ones have?
Not "sold" until customer takes delivery. That's what the sales person told us at an Airstream dealership. We looked at and went through a "sold" Basecamp X.
Likes: Ford Transit chassis/engine, 4WD, larger fridge/freezer,, overall layout. Dislikes: Only one burner induction cooktop, no convection microwave, no window in bathroom. (I am a current class B owner). Thanks Matt & Andrea for your great reviews!
Matt, the thumbnail pic is that of a 2020 Transit. You may be missing out on views…when people scroll by when they see the unpainted bumper, 3 bars on the grill, etc. As for the different floor plans (C, D, RB), I much prefer the RB (rear bath). It puts the toilet and shower at the back of the van, which eliminates anything tall blocking light and views from inside. The fridge is much smaller, but the RB is the only one that has a Maxx fan in the bathroom space. The Beyond apparently cannot fit the depth needed for a convection microwave. I love the white gloss cabinetry! I do wish the burner was not permanent, which would give much more counter space. That stove could easily fit into a drawer or cabinet.
I test drove one of these last year. I loved it on the Ford Chassis…soooo much more power and torque than the Mercedes chassis. I wish more mini-class Cs were built on this chassis as well.
The air conditioner is installed at the back of the van within the raised step area. There looks to be sufficient ceiling space to have installed it forward of the raised step. Looks like it would be a real head-banger.
This would be #1 on my list if it had a small fan in the bath (way too much moisture), solid doors for the bath and a convection microwave. I am familiar with the fan just outside the bath but not ideal. Prime pooping includes privacy. So close!
Great Review!…Best Feature? IT’S NOT A SPRINTER! ALL Ford Dealerships can work on the Mechanicals! Hands down the Best Van Build on the market. Love the Bottom Freezer so you don’t have to get on your Hands and Knees to get the Salad Fixings out. Only thing I would change is have the Beds Elevated and Room for 2 Bikes underneath in the back. Or buy as is and pull a small Cargo Trailer.. Keep’m coming!
I won't seriously consider any unit without knowing the ccc. That said I like the overall layout, nice sized fridge, and twin beds 🛌. I dislike that there isn't a convection microwave oven, the step up in the rear, and the huge sink in the bathroom takes up too much space.
#VanLife like the cockpit layout and easy to access RV control panels. I enjoy seeing solid color exterior paint jobs. Love the size of the fridge for a class B along with a well organized kitchen set up. I just the bathroom was a little bigger but looks doable for the random emergency
I agree, there needs to be a little more storage but where would it go🤔. I would say ONE of the seats should be storage though. That shower head can be the double headed shower head, a lot less hose. Other than that this is NICE.
I will answer since he didn't. Watched a ton of these videos because seriously considering this unit. The CEO feels that adding a two inch extension on the edge of the door, allowing the doors to extend slightly beyond closed position, makes up for taking a 22" shower pan, shoving a toilet and shower in it, and telling the public they should be able fit into it.
Hey Matt and Andrea! I Missed you guys!🤗I see that you got yourself a new ladder!🧗😏I must admit though, it looks like a good one!👍 Everything looks cozy🛋️🥤🥤-even for Andrea! Nice bathroom 🚿 although it's cramped-I understand, but you can still manage! Even though it lacks storage, the kitchen is on point. 👍 Not a fan of the head extension.Otherwise, it has all of the bells and whistles 🔔🛎️🥳 It's just hard to keep up nowadays on my end, but I'll do my best to pop in as much as I can!! Happy Holidays 🎄🤗💕🎉to you guys (Matt, Andrea, Will, and Jen-and the fur babies)if I don't get around to saying anything before the Holidays 🎄!Whew! All of this is done on my phone!📱 Take care guys!🎺🎺🎺🥗🎄!
Not sure if it's just me, the front portion of the awning frame looks like it could catch a gust of wind or just by driving 65-70 mph, it may become detached? JMO!
I love the creative numbers that the RV industry uses to measures mattresses. One day the FTC will ask them why the entire mattress and bedding industries disagree.
That's what I was wondering about. I believe they are advertised as twin beds but they look a little thin. I hope you don't roll over during the night. Compare these beds with the Travato K. These beds are why I am leaning toward the Travato.
@@mikesmith3375 But the fridge and microwave! I'm considering the same two. But dislike fridge and mw on the floor. And imagine the view out the backdoor sitting at this dinette, or with the beds down. Travato K designers managed to give occupants neither a view out the back nor a view out the sliding door. If Coachmen would make the bathroom about four inches wider it would be perfect.
No, they are dinette benches. D is for dinette, this is the only model with a dinette set up. A small person could manage (some in the FB group do) but it is easy to add the middle part and make a nice large bed across the whole space. There is a Beyond model with twin beds, called the 22RB.
@@mikesmith3375 The Beyond has a twin bed model also, the 22RB. We have this model (22D) and what I love is that you have a nice dinette area to eat at with the full view out the rear. Only downside is the bed is not always made up, you have to assemble it when ready to use. Not a problem for us but some love having the twin beds that are always made up and ready to use. The downside to that is, you are always sitting on the beds (not comfortable) and your rear view is narrow, through the bathroom. Upside is the bathroom is larger in the rear. You can't really go wrong with any of the three Beyond models. If you are thinking about a Travato, try to do a test drive. Many say the Ford is more comfortable to drive. I haven't driven a Travato but can say, our Beyond is very comfortable to drive.
Thanks Matt and Andrea for another great RV review! I’m afraid class B is not for me. Don’t like the accordion shades, bathroom , no slide. Like that you can park in a grocery store parking lot and many other tight spots. Just not for me.
I'm actually not a fan of that kitchen. You already have a LP tank, so I'd prefer a 2 burner propane stove rather than a 1 burner induction, which it seems you have to either be plugged in or run the genny to use if you don't have the Li3 package (along w microwave). There didn't seem to be anything on the left side-wall of the kitchen, which would be a perfect spot for a fold-up counter extension. The circular sink seems almost too small to be usable (think reasonably sized dishes/pots/pans with handles and prone to water splashing out).
I am not into class B's but this is one unit I could potentially buy and would change the generator from under the van to replace it with solar; servicing a generator located under the rig is a pain.
I wish they would protect the generator -if that necessary 🤷🏽♀️I’m just imagining something hitting and damaging it. Again. No. I said no vans I. Several vids. But my small van 🚐 exceptions are the Gulf Stream conquest 63111 and 6320. Aside from. No
I have watched your very limited USTEPS demonstration video several times but I still haven’t seen you “demonstrate” for your viewers how easy it is to get on and off an RV roof to perform yearly routine maintenance😬😬😬
I don’t love the generator location. I hope to heck nobody ever has to actually put hands on it. Also, yes, seriously, convection oven should be standard.
Why is this a dually? A contractors cargo van or an E350 gets by with singles in the rear. Seems like an unnecessary expense for a van that is mostly empty space.
Likes, Twin Bed layout with ability to dine in the front with swivel chairs, Color Scheme, White means SPACE real or imagined, and conveniences, Black Tank Flush, Truma, and controls. We love our Beyond! It has helped us build our RUclips channel and see America.
I think it's important to point out the dovetail construction of the drawers. Most RV's just have stapled together plywood boxes. It shows the attention to detail and quality of construction.
I noticed that, too.
I like that more class B's are going to the long seating areas on each side and doing away with the mini dinette thing, which is just a waste of space imo.
what I like about the mini dinette is that it takes advantage of turning the front two seats around. in the long bench design in the back, the front two seats have little use except for actual driving.
The rear wetbath models, which are the ones I prefer, have front swivel seats and a removeable table.
Two dislikes, both in the kitchen: single burner cooktop, plain microwave instead of convection. We class B lovers like to cook and bake, too.
WE 💗our 2020 BEYOND rear couch /bed lots of storage ...THE BEST!
We have owned every kind of camper there is ...
It's Vanlife for us!!
That is a nice looking unit! First non-Winnebago Class B that I would consider. Love how the rear area are sofas for day.
I do not like how the awning is attached to the roof. It’s not very secure looking. Certainly not stealth!
I think every RV should be equipped with a convection/microwave!
And bag ovens that don't work.
I would love to see RVs start including the convection air fryer/ oven even over the standard microwave.
This is a nice liking class B. I like it. I don’t think I have a dislike with this one. Just that not much storage but it will do fir this class B. It’s very nice. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
What other RV salesman would roll around on rocks to show you a generator?
Absolutely love the coachman! This is the greatest floor plan and I love fords! I am afraid its getting out of my price range wish I would have bought something when I first start watching you in 2019 ! Love your videos
Very nice.....class B van !!!
Thank you.. 🤗both great video!!!
I like this one ..pretty cool👍👍👍
I think they could have squeezed in an extra cooktop burner in the kitchen.
Nice layout and space. Adding a convection microwave/oven would have been a great add. The price was surprisingly high since one can get an oddessy class c for much less with many more features.
Class c's are always less expensive with more features, and more space
I prefer the bathroom in the back to make it feel more open when you step in but I love that this can come in a lithium battery option.
👍👍Thank you! Thank you!👍👍💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤
I'm in love with the Beyond! ❤
I am not the biggest fan of class B. But I like this one. So far this is the only class B that I would even consider. It is well configured for a van.
Great layout looks good and lightwith the white . What was that cable hanging down by the tv?
I agree with Andrea about the step up being a negative. I'm over 6'3" and I'd rather have the extra head clearance (at ceiling and cabinets) rather than the storage. I love Coachman Class B vans. That are all very well built. It’s very open and airy feel. Thanks for another great video.
What possesses them to put frosted glass on the bathroom door?
Lets in light, some people are claustrophobic in a small space so most RV bathrooms have a window.
Trying to choose between the Beyond D and the Travato K, I am concerned about the narrowness of the twin beds in the beyond.
I wish they would use the benches or bedding that Beyond has in the rear bath. Those cushions are 5 in wider which makes a little bit more narrow walkway but.....
They are not beds, they are dinette benches. To make the bed you add the backrests in the middle. There is a model, the RB, that has twin beds.
Matt, I think you said you wouldn't be able to close the door when using the toilet? That certainly should have been the #2 Dislike.
Don't think that would work for a fulltime RVer, not enough storage, but it is beautiful and on a great Ford platform.
Shave off the bath sink for a full height pantry and free up the bed/seating on that side. There is a sink already. 😳😱🙃🙄😥😬🤓😍
Where Matt can fit is not a fair standard to hold manufacturers to.
Just buy the StowAway2 and you are good to go!
Did you show the storage over the cab?
I will not comment, I am not a "Vanlife" person. I want room, comfort and space. But this is a nice little unit for those so inclined.
I’m happy you’re enjoying your Beyond D. It’s my favorite also. Have you had any maintenance issues yet?
Finally, coachmen beyond 22d review!
So you’re saying that you refuse to give power management information on class Bs?
I like how light and bright it is inside.
Hey Matt, your videos are great! They’re super entertaining and I love the way you and Andrea show the RVs. I think you make a great team (plus I’m obsessed with Andrea, lol!).
Matt could you and Andrea use something like this van to drive around in or do you need something bigger? Cheers!!!
Not having a garage for bikes, etc. is a deal breaker for me. Why can't these "name brands" have a stationary or raise and lower bed in the back like most of the self- built ones have?
See the Coachman Galleria 24 A, sort of a garage underneath.
Hello Matt and Andrea! Great review! Wishing both of you Happy Holidays !
I’m curious if they have to get permission from the buyer to let them review their unit…?
Not "sold" until customer takes delivery. That's what the sales person told us at an Airstream dealership. We looked at and went through a "sold" Basecamp X.
Love it!! Hubby says I'm crazy for wanting a Class B as daily driver. LOL
Especially in these times, it's great to never have to use a public restroom while you are out running errands!
Love the class Bs made my weekend watching this. 👍🏻😎
Andrea seems to be channelling Chanel for the channel.
Haha.💙

Way more than Mercedes. Plus you can get them serviced at your local Ford Dealer.
This is my dream coach.
Nice happy holidays to you and your family stay safe and enjoy
Very nice video. Little too small for my size.
Is the engine diesel? Generator diesel too?
Transit has gas engine with ecoboost turbo.
Really like the Beyond. But my primary dislike is the large overhang rear.
Thanks for going to Texas but it looks cold there.
You don't mention if the water tankage is internal, whether this is insulate for 4 season use. If there's a heater.
The air conditioner is installed at the back of the van within the raised step area. There looks to be sufficient ceiling space to have installed it forward of the raised step. Looks like it would be a real head-banger.
Is this four a season? When going through the review you mentioned tanks under back seats
This would be #1 on my list if it had a small fan in the bath (way too much moisture), solid doors for the bath and a convection microwave. I am familiar with the fan just outside the bath but not ideal. Prime pooping includes privacy. So close!
I wish they had this layout in a Mercedes 4x4 Sprinter Van.
Coachmen has the Galleria on the Mercedes. Same set up.
DisLike glass doors, lack of storage, and the headroom. Love the clean look, like the cooktop and large fridge.
Would an 6qt Instant Pot fit in that sink?
Could you do a review for a 2022 coachman cross trail corner bed on ford transit? Thanks Matt
Great Review!…Best Feature? IT’S NOT A SPRINTER! ALL Ford Dealerships can work on the Mechanicals!

Thanks Matt & Andrea for Traveling all the way to Texas to bring us the coachman beyond! #MattsRVReviewsRock
Do you have to have a CDL to drive this?
Thanks for letting us know you are networked with dealerships. I may use your services.
I wish the Tellaro K floor plan was in this Ford vehicle. I'd pop on it in a hot New York minute.
Yes! 20K best floorplan ever. Someone stopped copycatting and came up with a better design.
#VanLife like the cockpit layout and easy to access RV control panels. I enjoy seeing solid color exterior paint jobs.

One of the nicest Class Bs you’ve featured. None of the dislikes are deal breakers, IMHO.
We agree. Great camper van
I love the creative numbers that the RV industry uses to measures mattresses. One day the FTC will ask them why the entire mattress and bedding industries disagree.

You need to teach a sales class, because your charm is infectious!
I'm actually not a fan of that kitchen. $104 for a trashcan that you can pick up at the dollar store😜

It needs a convection microwave instead of the standard microwave. This is my stardard dislike. The generator is too low.
