Everyone will be different. As an office worker for 30 years and having an herniated L4/L5 disk I have found for my home office that a Steelcase leap chair offers some notable relief because of its live back features (movement). Also changing from sitting to standing at an adjustable height desk also helps. I am not pain free but notably pain reduced. Also working from home allows me to engage in regular physical therapy stretches throughout the day.
great video i went through similar things in my office and i switched my chair 3 times and the last one messed my back up and i quit . i cant sit for more than in a hour unless its in my truck. im thinking of going to the junk yard and finding a similar chair and drilling a office roller on the bottom
I had a similar experience. I was traveling and went to a random shoe shop and I sat on an ordinary plastic chair to try the shoe and that felt so good . I was like forget the shoes I want the chair 😆.
Thank you ! I just have a sit to stand desk and my Costco office chair, but I’m going to incorporate more, I find that I don’t move enough. And standing to often makes me tired. Going to get a ball ! I also have a saddle stool I use in the kitchen for cooking. I’ve recently incorporated yoga blocks to put one foot up on and alternate while I’m sitting. The weirdest time for me was, we went to a concert, a few months after surgery. My husband sat in the chair and I sat on his lap got him to stretch out and he held my head and upper back up so I could recline ! Lol got some funny looks but it worked 🤷♀️ no way I was sitting in those terrible concert seats
Dealing with lowerback pain now for months from a muscle spasm I haven't full dealt with. Lying on the hard floor is the only position where I dont feel pain, same with sitting in my old faithful wooden dining chair. I noticed in my "gaming chair," with memory foam, fully adjustable. I actually lean right and left in it. Causing more pain cause I barely notice it. Even when I recline theres a problem with the chair now.
I play musical chairs at home and work, but know that building my core strength and other exercises is the answer for my achy bulging disc. I'm working on it. Thanks for your honesty and advice.

It’s not the chair you need a long term relief approach if you want the pain to stop.

I have done this with so many products....pillows, shoes, mattresses etc when you’re in pain and find something that helps you buy it lol
