  • The Autumn palette is easy to remember if you consider a beautiful Autumn landscape. You can wear muted and rich, warm colors like the Autumn foliage or exotic spice colors.
Your natural coloring is fiery, earthy, golden, and natural. You receive compliments in shades of the autumn season: moss, rust, terra cotta.

But if these women change their hair, their color will not be harmonious, because they are fighting their natural color, makeup will have to be changed in order to deceive the eye into thinking that they are the new season, but they will always be their own season. Other color analyst say the hair color does not matter. Why is pumpkin color so hard to find.

I have always perceived that when people color their hair outside of their season, they never look as good, even with adjustments in make-up and clothing, as they do when they stay within their seasonal range and dress/make-up in harmony with that.

That's what I found strange too... i think it is possible that with going grey or white an autumn might become a sprinng but wearing winter or summer colours will still make them look really sick. It might even be debateable if every autumn e
who turns grey also turns into a spring. Also concerning hair colour - there are people of colour whith black hair that still are autumns because of their eyes and skin. Also some people even cover your hair for the determination of your undertone. Therefore skintone is the most important factor for deciding if you are a warm or cool season.

Pumpkin isn't a popular colour because women don't generally gravitate towards orange because it's deemed a more masculine/aggressive colour. You often see men wearing bright orange t shirts, less so with women, regardless of season. They also use Orange in marketing products to men. I'm an Autumn and I also like orange tones the least from my palette. I go more for the traditionally romantic colours that are deemed more feminine like rosetan pink, warm plum and russett red.

I still waffle between spring and autumn mostly because they are in the same colour family. Am a redhead (I see myself as orange/brown with a few copper highlights) with dark turquoise eyes and fair skin with freckles that give me a more peachy looking skin colour on my face. (legs are white- haha). I was part of the Color Me Beautiful seasons analysis back in the day, too which helped me to see right away what colour palette works best for me. However it can be sometimes difficult to see for yourself if you look better in the more muted tones of autumn or the brighter hues of Spring. Thanks for a very informational video and great to see that something from my younger days is still helping others find their best colours.

I’ve been trying to figure out my color forever and now I know I am autumn!!! I look best in olive green and I love pumpkin colors on me! I remember being 10 and I put on an orange shirt and I felt like it looked so good. I never had worn orange before but I remember I was wearing that new orange shirt and it felt so right 😂! I always thought I was cool because I have fair skin but I have freckles and my hair is woodsy in color with red throughout it. I am leaning on the sub season of soft autumn though because my hair has the soft woodsy coloring.

Yes … I think you are correct! I think my contrast is high because my eyes are dark and my hair is fairly dark neutral leaning warm. I definitely do look in harmony with oranges and rusts. I noticed my best white is actually almost yellow. I was looking at the soft autumn colors and you are correct there are no oranges or mustards. I guess I am shocked thinking I could be that warm because I always assumed that because my skin was fair it was cool and now when I look at my face I see the freckles are warm toned and my skin has more warmth than I thought. I guess this is why I have had such a hard time in figuring out my color because I assumed I was cool since I am so fair. But I am not fair as in the Nordic color (Icy and clear) … I am Scottish descent so it’s more freckles and ruddy 🤣

Personal preference on the orange. These two don't know what the heck they're talkin about. When my hair was black I was constantly asked if I was sick, same thing when I was an Ash Brown but when I went back to my natural red I looked healthy again. Hair color can go warm or cold and plays little in what season you are. These two are clueless.

A bit late 😂 but oh well..
You have three subseasons: soft autumn, deep autumn and warm autumn.
When you're an autumn you are soft, deep and warm. But, may have a main characteristic, either the softness, the depth or the warmth of your overall appearance and features.
If you're features are mostly deep for example, you are a deep autumn. You are also warm and soft, but those aren't your main characteristic, because the depth of your features is more prominent.
But let's say, neither of these three subseasons are jumping out for you, then you may be a true autumn.
Which means the softness, depth and warmth in your features are equal.
      I hope that helps! 😊

For soft autimns, their versions are even softer - more white added to the color, e.g rust but add a bit of white into it.
