It's kind of an inversion of the common dynamic in RPGs where physical characters ultimately peter out late game in favor of casters. Near-purely physical Junpei and Aigis become very dominant while the mainly magic-leaning Mitsuru ultimately trails and Akihiko pulls a Mario and does well in both despite not being a specialist.
For most SMT games physical usually ends up stronger than magic. The main exception is Devil Survivor 1 because physical is pretty limited in that game. In FES physical was still very strong but late game you had access to busted spells like Thunder Reign, which ended up being more balanced. P4 and P5 are completely physical dominated, though the technical system in especially P5R does help magic a lot.
Mitsuru's run was done last since I had to redo it. I realized having only basic attack as her other option besides spending a Concentrate stock which she needs every turn to keep up with the phys characters was unfair. However her only way to shave turns for her is the 2x charged crit Neuro Slash. Ice Break into Diamond is turn neutral because she needs that Concentrate for later turns. She has no options for 1 turning those phases without Theurgy unless you want to be nice and have MC cast Ice Break for her. And even then she can't guarantee 1 turn because she still needs someone to feed her Concentrate. Mitsuru needs help indeed.
You said somewhere that P4 and P5 are physical dependence? P4 yoshinsune I understand but in terms of party members yukiko was my highest DPS thanks to burning pedals along with being the best healer . P5R with izanagi no Okami is magic and Ann also hit like a truck with party wide concentration.
Izanami no Okami is dlc. Outside of DLC, Yoshitsune is still the strongest. I did a NG+ on Persona 4 Hard mode to see how many bosses would be one shot by Power Charged Hassotobi and it was every boss up until Shadow Teddie who only bearly survived. It's been a while since I played Golden, so I checked the power on Burning Petals and it's only 200 so Hassotobi would still be stronger.
In terms of party members if I remember right the strongest in P4G is Kanji who's a physical character. P5R it's Ryuji who's also a physical character.
I have to go check my copy of P4G, but there is a video of Kanji hitting 97k on a Golden Hand and from what I remember of P4G, Yukiko can't hit anywhere in that neighborhood.
Yeah, I didn't consider that for this run. Though I don't think it would have shaved the turn count down by much. But, I did go back and test with at least Mitsuru since max strength would potentially make some of the phases easier for her and the result is also not much difference. She needs at minimum someone throwing concentrate on her every turn for her to try to keep up with the physical characters. She also needs the MC to constantly apply Ice Break otherwise it's impossible for her to get below two turns on the resist and null ice phases.
I'd have to double check but her both of her Theurgy likely scale off of both Strength and Magic. But the problem is Theurgy 1 is 180 potency which is lower than everyone else and for Theurgy 2 she has zero boost and amps for it which makes it the weakest of all the offensive Theurgy. There is no reason to ever use it over Theurgy 1.

As expected GOATpei CRITori is S tier alongside Aki, Its crazy how weak magic is in this game lol.
I would personally switch Akihiko and Junpei's placements as I prefer sustained DPS over Burst DPS

Theurgy damage is calculated by strength and magic states regardless if its a physical or magic theurgy
