Realize that these thoughts are not you, just a product of how your mind works. If the negative thoughts are bothering you and causing you anxiety, then you and your consciousness/subconscious have extreme opposing values to the thoughts. Realize these thoughts flow through all humans mind, and again they stress you out because they conflict with who you really are and your values.

This whole day has been kinda foggy and weird for me so before watching this video I decided to sit and focus on my breathing for a few seconds before I started the video so I could properly digest it. It was amazing to see them talking about the effectiveness of this in the video, and how my mind was only focused because I performed that action. I used to gawk at meditation and that kinda stuff, but truly, when I close my eyes and just focus on oxygen entering and exiting my lungs, I open them feeling more aware, happier, and since Ive been doing this for a couple weeks now its amazing to see how it collectively gets better and better and helps me understand what normal and natural feels like. Really y'all, practice this. Its perception changing. Theres is no greater investment, and Im the first person to shoot this kinda stuff down.

You clear your mind by making up a random word ( it helps if it is long and random for eg: Vlucimenum) and repeating that in your mind for about 10 mins and if your mind wanders go back to that word. It will clear your mind and you’ll feel great. Try it at least every two days for a continuous clear mind.

I’ve found the focused-attention meditation to be the most successful in provoking results for entry-level participants desiring to clear their mind of these flurrying thoughts. I’ve also found leading your meditation with music especially created in the process of composition to aid your journey into this absent mind, and as well as using your breath as a vehicle to lead your current existence working very well, too.

This is somewhat related to hypnosis (the therapeutic kind, not the stage "cluck like a chicken" kind). I was never a big believer in hypnosis, and then my therapist (who happened to also be a licensed hypnotherapist) did it with me. It's not the smoke-and-mirrors you tend to think of; it's more like guided meditation. I ended up so relaxed that my head actually drooped and 30 minutes felt like 5. It's really just finding something to focus on -- like the therapist's voice, or an image, or your breathing -- so that other thoughts can't sneak in. I really wish I was better at doing it on my own, but I'm too impatient and not self-disciplined enough; when my mind wanders, I'm just like, "Well, okay, that didn't work, let's check RUclips!" >_

It's the default. The default is the default because if you let the executive type drift away, the brain defaults to the default (this answer has been brought to you by the Department of Redundancy Department) I mean, as they said in the video, the executive network becomes active when you actively and willingly pay attention to something. You are doing the opposite of being attentive when you daydream. You have trains of thought when you daydream but that is not the same as being focused. During a daydream you are unaware of many things, including your own self, and at the end you can't recall half of what you have been thinking about or why. The other mode is *all about* being aware of and recalling everything clearly.
I have been doing mindfulness meditation rather regularly for a few years. It's more about giving priority to the executive network in order to spy on the default network, as a passive but hyper-aware observer. Daydreaming is like rolling down a hill, meditation is definitely more like climbing one.

I am not good at meditation and you cannot take anti-anxiety pills before driving. We are not our thoughts, we are the spaces between our thoughts.
When you spend your entire life drowning in the chattering of the monkey brain, you cannot truly be who you are...
Anxiety, depression, worry, doubt... all these things are thoughts. Thoughts which cause real harm and in turn go from being thoughts to pathological illness altering physical traits in the body and brain...
Empty your mind of thought, and you can be you, without those lies and distractions.
With practice, you can easily maintain an empty mind for hours on end, without more than a few errant thoughts passing by, which you observe and let pass without holding onto them.
the key to learning to find and then live in an empty minded state is to first seek to focus it, to get your mind filled.
Like breathing, a full lung is easier to empty, and an empty lung is easier to fill.
And most people can figure out how to focus without much practice.
    The short directions are -
Relax, focus on breathing, as you breathe in, visualize something like a circle or triangle in a black empty space. As you breathe inward subvocally say the name of the object and the visualization becomes brighter and more solid, when you breathe out, let it grow dimmer. As you breathe out, say the name of the symbol or shape, and do this over and over.
At some point, all your attention should be focused on just doing this.
When you feel (not think) that you are focused... Breath in one last time AAAALLLLL the way to the point where you can't help but let it out (don't hurt yourself), and make the symbol as bright as you can in your mind, and say it inside your mind as loud as you can, and then exhale. when you exhale say the word one last time and let the image fade into black, and for at least a moment, you will likely experience a second or two of total stillness with no thoughts at all.
doing this once is all it takes to help you find the emptiness, and each time you do it will take less and less effort.
After a while, it becomes a natural thing and you don't need to hold it or do it on purpose.

I find clearing my mind fairly easy. Did it fast within the moments told to in the video.
I just drop everything and relax as I slow my breathing and stare blankly into the distance... sometimes drool. (But thoughts automatically come in when I drool telling me to stop the drooling.) So I feel its possible for me the only thoughts that come in during the time are inate stuff. But when theres no inate stuff I can think of absolutely nothing and stare blankly into the distance.
Curious if theres others out there who found clearing your mind easy. I always felt through life that I felt pretty disconnected to reality. More up in the clouds than down to earth.

    I find you very talkative!!!
Next do a video how to be silent
In that video, include someone to cover your mouth!!
I meant like you are saying half of the video, suddenly someone interrupts you by covering your mouth and they tells the rest of the video!!! It will be informative for everyone!!!!

I read some articles about meditation (don´t remember which ones though..) and taught it to myself, most of my friends did the same.
I´ll have to add to that that learning meditation can be really hard and frustrating because your mind will wander a lot, but don´t let it get you down, the beautiful thing is that everyone can do it if they try.

You can learn meditation at home, you just have to want it.
The process is easy. You need 1 thing to focus on. It might be visual or auditory stimuli like a candle light or certain repeating sound.
The focus on ones breath works as well.
Just when your brain starts to wander, go back to original task.
Repeating that will make you better at it, until you practically dont wander for hours no problem.

MY brain's like this 24/7. It's not depressive thoughts or anything like that, although sometimes I do from overthinking. It's my thoughts go to the past and then the future. It's annoying when I need to focus and face forward. It's always hard to be positive with these thoughts in my head.

Easiest way for me to do this was cosmologically. If you want to imagine 'nothing' then imagine what exists beyond the borders of known space and its an on-demand experience. It's like that moment you get where you're in a big, empty hall somewhere and someone else has a meeting they're supposed to be at and all you have to do for the next hour is loiter around in unexplored places for a while.
Which stands in stark contrast to coming home after the work or whatever it was you were supposed to be doing and seeing faces on the screen as they are; pre-recordings, editted, images of the past someone made to make some money. You can even look at the screen from the top or at the side, see all the light hitting the wall where it'd otherwise have you immersed, knowing that somewhere out there; possibly on the other side of the planet, the content creators could be having their lunch or doing other mundane chores as they collect royalties for footage.
Then realizing that you are in fact, alone.
Some aren't, and some are, what's that like? Hundreds of people could be reading this comment. To them, I'm now talking to you. But who is you? Interesting toy isn't it?

You aren't the only one! I suffered through this so I went to my Pediatrician and got diagnosed with anxiety and minor insomnia. I had to take pills and melatonin gummies to fall asleep. Ending your life isn't the best way to solve your problems. It might seem like you are awake but you are actually in a phase of sleep when your brain is awake and fully aware so it is pacing and thinking of things. It was just last night I tried to sleep without medication and I was awake until 5am and I had to wake up at 7. I never in my life had gotten only 2 hours of sleep but when I woke up I felt like I got a full night of sleep. That was because technically i was sleeping.

      @DwyaneWadeCounty 2 года назад

I don't know how old you are but you sound like young. I think that your problem is that you have pressure and you need to start taking charge of your life right now. You need to start thinking about the things that you must do to live a successful and fulfilling life. Maybe you eat _too much_ junk food, or maybe you've been slacking off in school, or maybe you don't have job or not getting anywhere with job. Or maybe you need to buy a new bed or get your own room. Or maybe you need to read more books or educate yourself about life. Or maybe you gave up of a particular dream or goal and you need to refocus on it. Or maybe you dont feel safe in your own home and perhaps you need to tighten up security. Whatever it is, something is bettering you on a subconscious level that it is not letting you sleep and you really need to address it and fix it.

So, I don't need to meditate or anything. I can just think, or simply stop thinking immediately.
But whenever I do think, something in me just stops continuing the thought because some second hidden thing in my head finishes the thought and other possibilities of what I could say or do to. So sometimes I find it hard to concentrate on a single thought and fully understand it consciously. Is this just my subconscious working harder than my normal conscious?
    *EDIT*
If I'm thinking "I can go over to my friends house"
I get ti "I can go" and stop.
Or "I wonder what would happen if we were to take this cabinet and flip it sideways or get rid of it." I'd just get to "I wonder what wou-" and I'll either stop paying attention and start trying to do it, or I'd forget about it immediately giving it the conclusion that it isn't worth studying.
