I spent hours operating one of these in my younger days. My fathers concrete company used one of these and a small MF dozer along with a Davis task force 600 trenching machine. These machine fed me for quite awhile in the day. Its good to see ome of them.

Those little 3 cylinder Perkins engines are superb, they carried on a fine tradition of excellent engines from Perterborough.
I remember our 1949 Fordson High Major with the Perkins P6, 40 years of really hard graft in the woods and only a pump & a set of injectors in all that time.
She just kept going and, with good maintenance, so will your ''Perky' 👍👍

I had a Massey Ferguson 40 Industrial with a 3 cylinder Perkins diesel that looks very similar to yours. Moved a lot of dirt and gravel with it. Had a back blade, and forks that could be swapped out from the bucket. Well built tractor.

Next time you have a dirty tank, you can disconnect the fuel line going from the tank to the pump.
If you can’t tell what’s in a tank, you can disconnect it at the output of the pump.
If the pump works, it’ll pump out all the old crap, and it means you know if the pump works!

Thank you, great little video, the Massey looked too good and modern to leave to waste, it sounded great, started easily, and with a few consumables should be back in service.
I was nearby in a laboratory when someone mixed acids in a test tube. A brief rocket plume of acid hit someone in the face. Without thinking, I grabbed them, plunged them into a running sink of water before twisting their head to catch the flow from the tap. I loaded them into my car and went straight round to the emergency hospital. An hour later, they emerged unmarked.
Safety goggles prevent an awful lot of risk, damage and upset.

My dad bought a 1977 20 c industrial MF new and still has it. He keeps it like new. It is a frt end Loader with power take off and shuttle shift. It is the lighter series before the 30. I remember the day Lawrenceville tractor of Ga. delivered it new. He also bought a 74 MF 135 new, but sold it a few years back ,for 2 1/2 times the price new, it only had 400 hrs on it. It also was a diesel.

I had the same model tractor. But mine had the backhoe with the loader. The machine was bought used and beat up. Everything was welded. Including the lower crossover frame. That Perkins diesel is a work horse. 30 HP but a gutsey engine. Mine had the automatic transmission with the 2 speed shift for high and low speed. I had to buy a new hydraulic pump for it. Never would start easy unless a spray of either. I finally sold it and bought an old Bucyrus Erie Dynahoe 190.

Excellent video :) also back when 13 years 1988 I use a 1968 International 624 A 60 hp Desiel farm tractor with New Holland Rake hay up ready to get bales of square bales also hot summer season in Ontario Canada! I was wearing my prescription glasses also to battery on left side of Drivers Seat of big Rectangular type some heard starter engage to start start and go on and off ! So look over saw Generator glow bright red plus sparks to on left top engine then got head back up felt something hit glasses look it was on + side on front battery of a sulphuric acid filling cap hit left floorboard near my foot plus on laces then got big spray hit my left eye of Sulphuric Acid under my cheek on face burn 🔥 fast and got tractor stop too in motion Drive it! So grab my ice water drink wash eye out fast then my dad next feild over and ran to next feild told his brother Bill my uncle get water also pick up fast need get me check out! So dad wash my eye out also he ask could see and I said burn bad also fuzzy looking on left ! My dad said swearing words also he did not want go blind my son and sorry this happened son ! So uncle Bill got truck and my dad took me hospital get check out and doctor also nurse said my left eye Membrane tail on back burn hang by thread be very carefull forever also lucky too see ! But in ever since get eye check up regularly in 1 to 2 years ! But this year 2021 in January said had Baby Cardics on lens each eye and had get surgery but clear up lots problem since surgerys in both eyes also in September going check see if need wearing glasses more now been 35 years wearing then and if don't plus I am going get glasses to wear plus tint on prescription ones but got excellent pair of sunglasses too protection too also! But back Sulphuric Acid burn eye not nice so make sure got lots ice water on hand when doing fuel fill up & other fluids plus battery or welding or chemicals working with guys not fun at all ! Eyes Sight are thankfull for life plus eye protection to wear !

When pulled out, there was no tyre-hole in the ground beneath and it was covered in the same vegetation-trash as all the ground surrounding it - impossible! The ivy was just lightly DRAPED over the machine - not growing into and around the frame-elements.
