- Just a very quick update about what to expect on the channel in 2024.
Winter is mainly about servicing and maintenance as there's not much (if any) riding happening at this time of the year. Also, there's no bike racing to watch. Just endless visits to websites to ogle at gear and parts that I can't afford. Do we all do that?
I am sooo close to the magic 1000 subs mark. Thank you to every single person who's hit the subscription button over the years. I really do appreciate it. This channel came around totally by chance and has been a life saver to me. I don''t know what I used to do with my spare time before this?!!
Anyhow. Thank you all for watching and commenting over the year(s) and have a cracking Christmas/New Year and I'll catch up with you in 2024.
Rob
All the best Rob , good luck with your swapping things around, I hope you get a good deal
Roll on spring, shortest day next week , turned the corner 😁👍🏼
I was thinking the very same thing mate. Over the hump 🌄
I hate the tyre kicking part of selling a bike. Can't be bothered with all of the nitpicking and toing and froing that you have to do, otherwise I'd have done this last year 🤦🏻♂️😂
Have a great Christmas bud 👍
You too guys! All the best 🙂👍🏻
Have a great Xmas 👍🏻
Thanks mate. You too 😄👍🏻
All the best for 2024 mate 🙂 Hope the bike went back together ok? 😀
You too Pete. Thanks.
Still in smithereens until I get some time off. No rush though. I've got MONTHS of darkness ahead of me 😂
@@CampbellZeroOne 😀
Merry Christmas yourself! And glad to be of service in parting you with money for new bikes! 😂 Triumph? Pah! 2x Ducati is what you need, what was your number 1 again 😉
The Ducati is the price of TWO 400x man! 😂
@@CampbellZeroOne Yes, but you get A Lot of rain. So which would you prefer to be looking at while sheltering in your garage? Twin Termignoni makes everyday a summer’s afternoon 👍
@@CodgerBiker ☝🏻👈🏻 See this? Imagine it's a middle finger emoji. RUclips won't let me use the proper one 😉😂
@@CampbellZeroOne What’s that thing about protesting too much? Get the #1! 👍👍
890R and a 400X 😉👍😎
Only got room for one bike mate. Might even go used yet. The 400x is top of the 'sensible' list at the moment. But that means nothing once you've got cold hard cash in your hand 😉
@@CampbellZeroOne Would a scrambler 400x satisfy the speed fix though!? Maybe a New 890 Duke SMT? That would be a mega bike for everything!?
@@twistandgo3414 Have the Streetfighter for that Chris. Just need something that can mooch around backroads and I can take down the occasional muddy farm track. Not really into the look of the SMT and it's a new KTM... What have I said about buying new KTMs? 😉😂
@@CampbellZeroOne fair enough. Sorry, when you said about only having discs for one bike thought they were maybe all under the cosh for going and one to replace them all. Makes sense!
Def nothing wrong with a Street Fighter and Scrambler as a two bike set up! Almost perfect really!
Maybe we will finally make a run out in 2024 after all!? 😂🙄
@@twistandgo3414 That'd be cool. Weather/shifts/family depending 🤷🏻♂️😂
Did you ever get a "quick-shifter failure" message on your bike? If so, do you know what it is about, and have you fixed it? It comes on mine again and again.
On the Svartpilen @Gracinda80 ? This is a 2018 model so doesn't have one.
If you meant the 790 Duke or Streetfighter, I've (touch wood) never had that problem. Although there's the occasional hiccup on the Streetfighter which can change with quite a severe jolt. Will have that looked into at the next service.
@@CampbellZeroOne Sorry, I didn't make myself clear, I was asking about the Svartpilen yes. I'd keep it if I were you, It's a bike like no other! :) But I also hope to upgrade with an Aprilia soon.
@@Gracinda80 Which Aprilia has caught your eye?!
@@CampbellZeroOne I'm very curious about the new twin 450cc engine they launched, and I hope they can put it in a very lightweight version of the Tuareg. If not... the Tuareg. But I heard great things about the Tuono 660 too, so I haven't decided yet.
@@Gracinda80 Still not tried the 660 Tuono as we don't have an Aprilia dealership within a couple of hundred miles from here. I've liked the look and sound of it since I first saw it and would love to try one some day. It's pretty much perfect.
I hadn't heard about the smaller cc engine. We need more small capacity ADV/enduro bikes like that on the market. You'll have a difficult choice to make for sure.
