There’s a quote from an interview with her where she says when they first started, Jimmy and the other contestants would be very respectful towards her and it made her feel left out - she said she’s much happier being part of the jokes.
The beauty of this show is not that everyone is trying to outdo everyone else but they seem to be setting each other up for a bigger punchline, and egging each other on. and then enjoying when someone tops they set up. Great fun
Yeah its why I tend to think Panel shows are the funniest form of entertainment. If you put some of the best comedians in the country on a set, give them a starting topic, and let them pretty much do or say whatever they feel like (unlike America, where they couldn't even say fuck or show nudity for some reason), it really works. Laughter/comedy are social things, thats why you can watch the same thing twice and not laugh at all while alone but laugh uproariously when others are there. So it makes sense I guess
Just add Jim Carrey to the mix and watch him ruin it with his attempts to hog the limelight. If you want an example of that, watch comedians paying tribute to Bob Saget in 'Dirty Daddy'.
