Statistically he’s not one of the worst defenders this season and has averaged at least 25 3 9 every season since his rookie year. stop the biased hate lol.
If it wasn't for the record, he'd be DPOY as well. Victor is that dude.
The only problem with giving him DPOY this year is that it'll be exceptionally hard to not give him DPOY for like, the next 5 straight years if he wins it this year. The Spurs will be better next year and their defense will be more competent next year as their young guys continue to improve and they add to the team around Victor.

Probably the healthiest center in NBA history. Finally, if they get him an all-star which is mostly going to happen via trade or development is over. That's just the way of the NBA now. He's literally the ultimate inside presence cause of his height and the way he moves.

Chet really doesn’t compare to Wemby at all. Chet is just fortunate to be on a solid team with great pieces.
Chet is easily having one of the best rookie seasons in the last 10 years, it's just that Wemby is even more special. But saying that Chet has it easy, I don't think so. Only a very smart player can play, in fact not only play, but be a main piece on a very good team in his rookie season. You could argue that he is the 2nd most important player on his team as a rookie (some would say Jalen Williams, I'd say Holmgren). Chet is special too, and definitely projects to be a hall of famer himself, based on what we've seen this year.
@@zoltanzukaly7231 He doesn’t compare at all and is fortunate regardless. His job and role are significantly easier than what Wemby is asked and expected to do on a nightly basis on a minutes restriction lol. Chet is still good but it’s a disservice to compare him to Wemby at this point.
And Williams is the 2nd best player on that team and that’s not really up to debate for most people lol.

Chet is averaging 20/10/3/3/1 PER36 on freakin' 64% TS, and would easily win ROY in most years. Wemby has better raw stats obviously, but he has much more touches as well.

Chat doesn't have nearly as many touches as he'd have on other teams, and you clearly don't know anything about the NBA if you say he has it easy on a good team. On a good team, every possession counts, if Chet would have played like Wemby at the beginning of the year, he is probably out of the rotation, but definitely not a starter.

Chet has actually better handles than Wemby and a much better shooter. Obviously what Wemby is doing in the 2024 calendar year is better than even that and projects as a transcendental player, but Chet is also a special player in his own right. I don't understand why some Wemby fans have a problem admitting that, when it's this clear. The guy has elite handles and shot at 7 feet, and moves much better than Dirk did early. But I guess comments like yours already show this will be the next Joker vs. Embiid, which I'm all for. It's gonna even better, because they are in the same conference and actually guard each other, unlike in the Embiid vs. Joker matchup.
