I'm sitting here emotionally reminiscing because I haven't heard this song for quite some time but I couldn't help but laugh a bit when Kyo did his little dance routine lol
And as a follow-up thought, your research and notes on every song have always really helped me understand their songs. There is so much depth and intricacy put into every aspect of every song, and I have no idea how any human can make something so perfect. I really appreciate all the work you put into your videos, and will forever cherish them.
Is this the first time I _haven’t_ been shocked into a depressed or pensive silence by a Dir en Grey song? I’m sitting here marveling at how _effortlessly cool_ this performance is. Kyo’s dance has something of a “Smooth Criminal” feel and _Kaoru’s guitar-playing-OMG-I-can’t-even_ is totally inspired by the opening riff of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and is just gorgeous to behold. Earlier today, I was thinking about how Diru is easily the weirdest, creepiest, most emotionally-wrought group of musicians I’ve ever come across, but if anything else, they just keep blowing my mind. As always peri, thank you for the stellar translations! ✨
@@Gentleman_Mob The riff is blatantly based on the riff from that song, dude. They stole it because it's pretty obviously a solid piece of work. I like this better than any Nirvana tune, too, but don't be ridiculous in dismissing the source material.
@@Gentleman_Mob Let's not get heated about this. Nirvana is Nirvana. Dir en grey is Dir en grey. They're both good bands. Love of music is love of music. I agree you should not compare the two to each other, it's like night and day. But I get what he's saying. The music blows you away, right? Just enjoy it.
Geez, this is one of the first DEG songs I ever heard but I'm not sure if I ever took the time to look into the original lyrics (shame). I did read the English translation but wow...only now do I really understand this song and it's so much better than the picture I got from official translation.
There is no band on this earth who sounds better from a recording point of view than Dir en Grey, the guitars are always eq's JUST RIGHT, often quite different from the album as that just wouldn't work with the bleed of a live setting, the drums and bass are immaculately mixed together, fucking hell
Their lives sound better than the actual studio recordings most of the time, other than the bands 'holy trinity' which were produced by the immaculate Tue Madsen
I think it could have some relation to "Shokubeni" honestly, and even "Marmalade Chainsaw", as that foodstuff could be described as somewhat red, and as for the mention of "13", he does utter "(Death) 13" repeatedly in that song.
Hey Peri, please please please could you resub the Mode Of Kisou version of 24 Cylinders? I know you probably wanna concentrate on songs you haven't done, but it would be amazing
I think Japanese visual Kei bands'bass lines are much fancier than many western bands especially than punk and individual bands. No offence,I respect some old bands such as the Cure. But now I prefer JP bands hahaha. We can hear a lot of bass fills in Diru's songs however we can hardly hear them in the Cure or Placebo songs.Toshiya is really talented.
Omg Toshiya is a bass monster that needs more recognition. The basslines are insane.
You should look at the other live performance of this the song it’s better

WHY. Why is every single thing they do so beautiful?

How dare you comparing this, to that bullcrap Nirvana's song XD
Die is playing the lead guitar on this song. Kaoru is next to Toshiya.

Cut down your discomfort wings
Cut down your discomfort wings
Why can't we be perfect?
Why can't it be?
Cut down your discomfort wings
Cut down your discomfort wings
They legitimately have to be one of the best live bands on the planet. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Toshiya's bass solo is so awesome.
Always love this song. Thanks for this live version! Will you keep the original sub of Code of Vulgarism tour? I also enjoy that one as well.

Most under rated song
