Thanks for making this video. I’ve been thinking about getting these. They look like they should stiffened up the rear, plus they’re red so that’s easily 5 extra hp!
@@ColoredinLight I wouldn't tie them down. They are meant to move with the suspension. Take a look at the bracketing and original design of them hanging down and you will see. If anything wrap some protection around rub spots. I had to loosen the handbrake cable from inside behind the handbrake. Without doing that one side of my brake was sitting away from the detent rest spot and had slight pressure on the disk. Also, did you use new torque bolts? I highly recommend you always use fresh torque to yield bolts. I personally felt no benefit from them street driving. When I autocross I have a rear wheel in the air often and I'm hoping they give me a little better feedback in the rear under hard driving.
Interesting...the "theory" is more promising than what THAT product would do. You are still using the OEM center brace connection and extending out the Arms to the side - but that would be doing the same exact thing as just staying with the stock set-up. Looks cool, but doesn't provide a benefit.

Did you replace the trailing arm bolts? I've seen on the website they recommend replacing them with new ones
I did not
Going to end up as stiff as can be that GTI. Nice :D
watch those brake line squeaks on the brace. tie wrap them.
Thanks, I'll give it a shot!
