I had just found out recently that you can shoot through the deployable covers. But at the same time on Crow's nest as a kid I always threw down the cover in front of the turret to stop the drones from killing me. I can't believe I never picked up on that
Fantastic run Jerv! I believe aim assist matters the most in Halo 2 of all the Halo games because body shots & melee in 2 are much weaker compared to rest of the Halo games. So headshots is the way to go.

Injust thought about how halo 1,2, and 3 have completely different hud layouts but keep the radar on the bottom left. So I gotta ask, what's your favorite Halo hud?
main question is does aim assist really matter in any game period as people abuse it in cod now and it makes me on a k&m every so often more than mad because you can not peek a corner without a headshot or snapshot from across the map where you can not see them at all so to me aim assist does not need to exist at all for halo 3 or cod but for single player games yes it can exist there but multiplayer no it makes life so much more harder to deal with
Have you played on controller? Its incredibly hard to aim with a clunky sticks precisely on a controller. Aim assist in COD is not relevant to Halo. I do not care for the COD franchise, it is dumpster fire. The aim assist in Halo 3 is there to do what it says on the can, assist with aiming. Its not like it locks onto enemies, it just ensures you can aim easier.
@@m16-a2 i have well have not for well 20 years now since I'm 21 now but any time that i go back and use a controller in halo i forget how much fun it was but then i realize controller is also just a bit of a cheat system online as well when even halo multiplayer they had a thing which cod does as well still that with aim assist you can auto lock on to people making aiming none existent so for campaigns i love controller usage all the time even on pc but come to multiplayer yuck it is a dumpster fire for me because now even in halo people can abuse aim assist well any game you can but all in all play campaign or a story mode in a game controller perfect multiplayer no because i gave up playing online with people for 2 weeks now between steam games and Ubisoft for people being aim assist gods.

It isnt a cheat system. Halo CE had aim assist too. There wasn't a problem then and aim assist isnt a problem now. Since its been 20 years since you've picked up a controller, maybe you should jog your memory a bit and play on controller, because I can tell you right now, its harder than Kb&M.
@@m16-a2 kb&m is a lot harder as well too not to be rude and i agree on the aim assist as well but kb&m you have to take into account that you have to worry about where you aim since without aim assist to help you your having to make much more accurate shots than with a controller and then it also comes down to movement since you have to use w a s d to move which is not that hard but you also use ctrl or whatever other key bind for crouching and stuff. as well while on controller it is just a b x and y with two triggers for aiming and shooting left bumper and right bumper for the bubble shield or something and then left bumper for grenades and two joy sticks to move. as it is harder on kb&m you maybe just do not play games that use it as much as i do because it is much harder to play halo cod destiny so forth of games because alot of games on pc to my mind swaps key binds around like a swarm of wasps all the time so its hard to play games now a days
@@Cole_Zulkowski its easier to aim on Kb&M. It takes time to move the sticks on controller, but on PC aiming is instant with the mouse. It's also faster to use WASD to strafe because you can only use the sticks to move side to side, which takes time unlike on PC.
