September 15th, 2024. Heliot Ramos, a right handed Giants outfielder, hit a game-tying home run into the cove in the bottom of the 9th (in his 144th career game!) Looks like he took your challenge to heart
What’s just as rare is someone hitting a homerun into the giant glove in left center. When the park opened, they had hopes it would happen, albeit rarely, so they put a $1,000,000 prize on any homerun that landed in the glove that would go to a randomly selected fan. In 23 years it has never happened.
I have a strange feeling JD Davis is gonna break this streak irl next week. Before anyone does it in the show. Would he get the poster if he did it irl?
I've got a team full of juiced up monsters and I made them all bat righty and have the extreme opposite tendency. 170 runs scored, 7 or so oppo homers, 0 splash hits. This challenge is TOUGH.
@@mattyb9310the braves turned a triple play starting with an amazing catch by Michael Harris II the runner on first DIDNT know that he caught it and proceeded to run. Harris threw it to first and then the runner in 2nd thought he could sneak to third, he didn’t make it turning the triple play from the outfield for the Atlanta braves.
Unassisted Triple Plays One way this could occur is with a ground ball to the third baseman, who then throws the ball to the second baseman, who then throws it to first. An unassisted triple play is a different matter entirely: this means an outfielder gets all three runners out alone.
I’ve done it ONE time (in the game of course) . I had the wind working in my favor and that might have actually been what helped take it out of the park .
I mean you could try to hit a homerun and hit the warehouses in camden or hit the glove at the giants stadium both havent been done in an exhibition game
5:40 that was a glitch. The ball goes through the metal fence in right then reappears coming out of the scoreboard. Metal fence is an HR at Oracle Park--so Oppo was robbed.
to count as the rarest play, it cannot be that exclusive. only 3% of the games are played in that stadium. in contrast, the walkoff inside-the-park grand slam only happened once in MLB history, but it is a possible outcome for any game
I actually play in a custom league money league and I'm the giants and I hit one into the cove with Chris Taylor (It's a fantasy draft league) But I didn't even know of this rarity so I honestly thought nothing of it. That's crazy. If I do it again in the postseason or next season I'll def share it
I'm pretty sure no right hander has hit Eutaw street in Baltimore either. I can't find an up to date list but as of a couple years ago it hadn't happened, and I watch most Orioles games and dont remember it happening. I definitely could be wrong but as far as I know only lefties and switch hitters have got there, although I'm not certain which side all switch hitters were hitting from. I assume the left.
At the same stadium, and perhaps even more rare…..The giant glove in Left-Center field has never been directly hit by a ball in a game (Mark McGuire hit it during a pre-game batting practice) At 501 feet from Home Plate, 27 feet high, and 30 feet wide…you think it would have been hit by now. Although 501 feet is quite the blast, it’s still well within range of possible for a big stick righty.
The combined perfect game hasn’t been done even once. And I can understand why, I’d be irate if they pulled me in the middle of a perfect outing. Even combined no-no’s are pretty rare, it’s only happened 20 times.
A combined perfect game is probably easier to do than a normal one. It’s just never happened because they’ve never pulled out of a game during a perfect outing
@@elPeruanoypuertoriqqueño it probably is but it might never happen. The manager who pulls a guy having a perfect game is liable to get punched in the face.
Mac Williamson hit a monster to right center that at the time I felt had a great chance at a splash down if it went a bit more towards right. Few years ago. Perhaps I remember incorrectly.
I've hit 370 foot Oppo Tacos this year in the show. So I assume its possible. But only as a lefty hitting to right. Ball has to be on the paint or even outside the zone and up.
Cool, first time seeing this channel! I didn't see Josh Gibson in that list but if the others didn't do it in Homerun Derby he probably couldn't either. He was more a straightaway hitter than pull, but you have to do an opposite-field shot really well to get that Cove. I'll have to watch some of your other videos when I have time.
@@koolkatzjoey1717 nope, the best way to structure it is guy who gets on base a lot first, huge slugger 4th and best all around 2nd, 3rd should be a pretty powerful guy and 5 should be a speedy guy, 6-9 just best to worst, sounds weird but it actually works

I was there, it was pretty cool. Im a Padres fan so I wasn’t that happy but I mean it’s history.
Buster Posey got the closest. He had a line drive that would have gone into the cove but hit one of the fountains
sooo close
Yeah I was gonna comment that
I think he deserves it. It would have gone in
Yeah
Yeah that was tough

that glove is way back there , to hit it wouldn't it have to be a 500ft+ shot? like 530ft or some insane number like that
Vladimir guerrero hit the glove in 2007 hrd
Heliot Ramos!! I don’t know how but I had a dream of this the night before it happened
I have a strange feeling JD Davis is gonna break this streak irl next week. Before anyone does it in the show. Would he get the poster if he did it irl?
The rules tho
if he actaully does... then im litterally done man (he hit a walk off homer tonight!)
He almost did it
hitting the warehouse at camden yards is another rare one, only done once by the kid.
Also it was done in a HR derby

It’s pretty obvious you need people from the steroid era to hit one into the cove
Yea 😂

Found it. 464 feet over triples alley. Man it had the juice just a bit more towards right and it had a chance at water.
turn your contact vs right to zero and power vs right to zero.
then max your power vs left.

No right handed hitter has hit a ball on to Eutaw Street at Camden Yards in 31 years, much less anyone hit the Warehouse
Howard Johnson is the only switch hitter with multiple 30/30 Clubs which he had 3 of.
