    As a man that has been around American Bulldogs and raised a couple over the last 17 years, I am glad you brought them up and gave them the credit they deserve. Thanks brother! If you ever get the chance I highly suggest you talk to Lem Miller, or Allan Scott about them, these men are the real experts. Peace and God bless

I have been blessed with so many beautiful souls over the course of my life and I wish everyone can love there pets.

    I am so thrilled to see the Cane Corso on here. They are so underrated in their love for their owner. My dog was fiercely loyal. He was a Velcro dog as well, he would follow me anywhere and if I shut a door he would be there when I opened it. He would never just "go" with anyone, he would only leave with his family. I miss him with all my heart and know he could never be replaced. He died on my lap in the living room with his entire family around staring right into my eyes. I tell everyone how much that boy changed my life. Not a day goes by in the past 3 years that I don't think of him. xxoo Great Video!

      I have an Amstaff and it’s the same with her. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body. The only time I’ve seen her act threatening is when a stranger came up into the yard while I was napping on the couch. She looked like she was ready to tear them up through the window, but that was just bc they came on our property. Outside of the house she is more likely to lick you into submission than even nip at you.

I didn't want to let him to go but I could see how much he was suffering so I told him "it's ok ill be ok you can go" and he laid down and died in my arms. Fine video here, and mighty swell picks. Dogs truly are man's best friend, the most loyal creatures on the planet. I remember watching a story on RUclips about a pit bulldog that took three shots from a home intruder to protect his human family. One of those shots was to the head, but the lady of the bulldog says that he still kept going at the intruder. Don't worry, the dog survived. Dogs like that have even given their lives for their masters for sporting events like the ones talked about here. A hound with so much grit and loyalty, it would fight a bull because the master wants him to.

    Dobermans are special Velcro loving pups who live for their family without exception. My beloved Dobie passed at nearly 13 years and I love her no less todsy. She was 95 lbs as an adult half American, half European. She was my protector her entire life. My European Doberman pup proves from early on to be an aggressive loyal love for our family without reservation. She just turned one year and proves the difference between American and European Dobermans can be recognized early on. My girl has been socialized by an amazing trainer I never needed for my beloved Dobie past but essential for this European. Guard dog this one was born and significantly different from my first Dobie. And by the way, Dobermans are the only dogs I will ever get. I had a German Shepherd 30-35 years ago so when I wanted a good guard/watch dog in my retirement I selected another from a breeder with a “track record.” I forgot how fast they grow. At 1 year he is 90 lbs with most of that growth occurring in his first 6-7 months. He is intimidating with his looks alone. His bark after dark also becomes intimidating. No one has even attempted to come into the yard who does not already have a good relationship with him. His high energy level makes him a bit much to handle at times, but his intelligence is so keen that it imposes acceptable self-monitoring. If you are going to have a German Shepherd you will need a good fence to define his area. He is very observant and truly impressive in every way.

I would add the Australian cattle dog or the Blue Heeler to this list although the blue heeler like the American pit bull has a lot of controversy around the breed. What dog breed would you advise for a senior citizen for protection? The Belgian Malinois had always been a favorite or the romantic side a Irish Wolf Hound. But.... Not younger any more. Fir companion and protection. I weigh 101#'s...yeah they would outweigh me by 50-75+#'s. The dog would have to be trained. Had many smaller breeds until 15+ yrs ago. Sin has 4. Grand on mix of one of top 10. I call him "Cujo". Picture scared me sitting on top of his truck. Any suggestions aside from what shepherds used for in military. Senior military brat who needs living companion and protection. Thank you.

    • @ericinfante1885
      @ericinfante1885 4 года назад +2

      List keeps going buddy, but there is no more room for a top 10. This i believe was more on the lines of adding a little bit of everything for example, dogo is a dog made up of 9 breeds, in it the bulldog... bulldog was mentioned here. Presa canario and Belgian malinois are also great additions but we have the cane Corso and GSD which are "cousins" to those other dogs ( it is believed Roman's brought cane corsos to the carrier island and left some when they departed... the natives there mixed those dogs with their street dogs selectively to create a catch dog and pitbull is believed to have been used as well for that infamous pain tolerance and agility as well but I wasn't there to say that a pitbull was one of the dogs used in the process for sure) boerboel wasn't mentioned but looks very similar to some of the dogs mentioned here and carries similar traits so the list might get repetitive too? I don't know the exact reasons but it could have just been his personal preference which is great. Rottweilers, pitbull, and presas are might top 3 and dogos and borboel as well as cane corsos right after that. If I was a millionaire I'd have a ranch of all kinds of these breeds but thats impossible lol
