I'm going to buy a precut kit for my 88 Eldorado to see how you guys are with an obscure classic car. 56 bucks isn't too bad, and your customers seem pretty happy. I also really like this video.
I just bought a kit from eBay from your store, I offered 10$ and it got accepted. It's the precut kit and you guys have a deal going on where if I submit pictures of me installing the tint I can get back 20$, that's a deal and I'm up for the challenge!
I followed all these steps but still get fingers on the bottom of the window. I tired again on a 2nf window with same results. Any help would be great! May also need to order a replacement for both...
Right before rolling it out, they begin to release the liner from the adhesive. As you roll the tint film on, you pin the liner you removed against the other (non-adhesive) side of the film. Essentially you're removing and reapplying the liner to the opposite side as you roll the film on.
Just got mine ore cut tint for my x5. Im confused, does it already come pre shrink? Or do i need to shrink it with heat gun? I installed passenger window and got some wrinkles on the bottom and side.
@@Soldier4YHWH the liner is on the back. Where that is relative to you will depend on how you turn the precut tint. I know this isn't a great answer but there is no better way to explain it.

My tint shop has all sorts of soft thin rope towels that they shove down in the windows to prevent all of the liquid from dripping down into the door panel... From the looks of your video, all of that water was just getting squeegeed down into the door panel. Is this a problem?
I don’t understand doing the outside of the window with the tint the moving onto the inside. Basically just smoothing it out before final step I assume.
It really depends on which window you are tinting You may be able to do side windows with a strong hair dryer. For a rear windshield it is best to use a heat gun. Beg, borrow or even steal one! Well, not the last part but you could get an inexpensive one at Harbor Freight or even Amazon and still save a ton of money.

I wasted 100 dollars. You could get it professionally done for 250. It's not that easy, don't waste your money. The guy who did it professionally had way different materials, this material is super thin and cheap, do not waste your money. Pay the extra 150 dollars for the 4 door windows and rear window. And yes i also bought a heat gun.
Totally agree get a proffesionsl, it looks easy but it's really not. One tiny mistake and it will always look crap. Tried few times and never 100% and always annoys you every time you look at it
Hahaha. It's not this easy. At all. Just bought a whole set for my car snd the first one I did never did any of this. I couldn't get it to tuck in anywhere. Ruined the piece so I gave up. Watching this actually pisses me off.
@@Rvinyl it’s not going to work as good as heat gun. But it makes the windows tint frame more flexible. It’s good for home DIYer who is not good at using heat gun. I heat up too much and melted my window trim a little bit. lol. I dipped it into hot water and it works for me.
The liner absolutely does not separate as easy as in this video...Im trying to start mine but I can't get the liner to separate from the tint. I'm at a loss here...trying so hard not to ruin it...
On their website, it looks like when you go to add a tint item to your cart, you get to select the darkness and you can subtract the panels you don't want, like rear windows and back window. So you could just get front seat windows if you wanted.
These kits are absolutely cheap, it starts with the fact that when you unroll it, you can’t even tell which side is the backing side. Super thin super creased when I pulled it out of the package don’t waste your money. This cost me almost $100 for a kid I couldn’t even even use because I bought the installation kit as well. Garbage.
What a terrible video, how do you skip over one of the most difficult and frustrating parts of separating the liner from the actual tint? The guy just cuts it with a blade? Waste of money for me unfortunately.
Don't waste your time buying this snd just get it professionally done, if you've never tinted before. You will mess up, you will get mad, and you will end up spending more. Aside from that, the product itself is not bad. If you're experienced at tinting.
Just buy a second precut kit. Hell, even buy 5 of them. Still cheaper than paying a Cholo $300-500 for the same job. 😅 AND, You'll have the opportunity to learn a new trade. Start a side hustle, that's what I did. All started with tinting my own cars after getting outrageous quotes of $400-$500 for a 2 door coupe convertible. And that price was for dyed tint, nothing special.

Good tips ,shrinking can be an art form, not too hot,too close etc.
Very true!
Will the more expensive type have an easier application?
I have a question. When you set the tint on the outside or inside window of the car how do you know which side of the tint to use?
I believe the wren in front of window use the side without the liner then lift liner spray and put on back side

So even if it's pre cut u still have to heat it
How many hours or days do I have to wait till I am able to put my windows down? Just purchased your pre cut kit for my Chevy truck!
We recommend 24 hours.
I don’t understand how the liner is facing the installer when putting the back window.. isn’t that side the adhesive side?

My window piece came in 2 pieces ?
Do I remove the factory installed tint before applying this one?
We would recommend it if you don't want the result to be too dark.
You can't remove can't remove the factory tint, that's manufactured into the glass.
Do i need to have heat gun to complete this job ?
We definitely recommend it since window tint is already challenging.
Can u still order
Well done vid
I’m confused on how the film ended up on the outside when rolling it out on the back window

Exactly. There needs to be a clearer explanation of how the liner mysteriously moved from the adhesive side of the tint to the non-adhesive side.
