Most designers have parts that differ by size, material, or other variables, although the same design works in many models. You can create these designs as iParts, and then use one or more of the variations. This will make it easier for you to automate and iterate product design, without exhausting engineering resources on redundant tasks. Learn how to utilize the tools inside Inventor to build variations of your company’s design to save time, increase design consistency, and bring value to the business.
In this presentation, we will be:
    -Creating and Naming Parameters
-Managing iPart Members within the iPart Author
-Working with iPart Members within an Assembly
-Auto-generating a table with iPart size variations

Hey, I have question. Imagine situation. I want to crate a drawer that would with to any size hole. Without writing 1000 variations in the table. There is a way? Thanks in advance! :)

fine video, could you explain this. if I insert custom iPart(with custom purple column) into an assembly, why this action change the parameter in original factory Ipart file. I have default desirable value in master part and I don't wont to have it changed, but every after inserting it has been changed to last value I entered while inserting to assembly. How to disable this behavior ?

Instead of generating all the iParts, can we not save the generic part and then 'Activate' the desired version of the iPart every time? Will that work or will it change its definition for all existing assemblies?

please can you do a video of how to create an assembly of threaded rods and their nuts so it fills it automatically in all holes and leaves about three threads at the ends?

    Hi,
my iParts author does not show all the parameters. How can I fix it?
FYI: I just changed my computer and re-installed Inventor.

Not a bad intro but there needs to be a follow up "advanced iParts" webinar to follow this one. Theres too much missing from this to implement it in a production-ready environment. Why are member parts generated and contained in separate folders? What function do these "member" parts have if they are not utilised in asseblies? When a different ipart configuration is made, what happens with the redundant ones that it replaces? How are assembly constraints managed when iparts are swapped out? How does vault manage iParts and the many members they generate?
Finally, please cleanup your Windows folders prior ro making these sort of videos. It massively confuses what youre trying to present (aside from looking pretty unprofessional).
