Uncle Johnny is her uncle who inspired the Renaissance album!!
Her Gay uncle who influenced her and who she called her "GodMother"
Was*. RIP
Her deceased gay uncle....
Y’all. I’m gay myself so I know exactly the pain that LGBTQIA+ people, especially Black Queer people go through on a daily basis in this country. Yes he has passed away a while ago due to complications from AIDS. But, if it weren’t for the shitty Reagan administration, a considerable amount of people may have been spared. His administration dragged their feet and even treated it as a joke at first.
That’s why she made the album because he influenced her so much.
The more and more I hear people say “I haven’t really listened to Beyonce” helps me understand the complete incorrect assessment of her being “Overrated” ..
The Beyonce being “overrated” or the “Beyonce isn’t God” line is literally projection, everything they say she is or she isn’t is literally the opposite of what they really think in their mind, and they hate it ! 😂
they said the same thing bout mariah carey 20 years ago and honestly i think its the mor epple see a certain singe rin the media the more they appear overrated even though these pple dont listen 2 their music
Right, if you pay attention she’s actually underrated 😅
Beyoncé has two sides. She was just famous for being Beyoncé and not famous for her music. Then her music came into the mix.
The way Beyoncé addressed the girls who love to preach that she’s “overrated.” She always put her frustration with the haters in her music.😂😂😂😂😂
And eat them the fuck up every time
You should watch her perform it live it’s so freaking good! The crowd eats it up. Everybody has a fan and fanning themselves.
I was living. I saw her in Cardiff with my Bey Bestie. We were just screaming the song and dancing so hard. It was the best.
This was my most listened to song on Spotify last year and probably will be again this year 😅
Same!!
@@philp1099 Such a perfect summer and workout song right? This song whipped me back into shape post covid (and Move lol. The whole album actually! Wasnt even a big beyonce fan before this)
can’t wait to see it on my wrapped this year.
After dueting this with her in London it hits different 😂😂
Sameeee
The chanting at the end is an homage to the Black LGBTQ+ Ballroom community.
Yesss and we live
“Maybe she made a few songs or even an album about it.” OH BOY DID SHE!!! 🍋🍋🍋😂😂😂
The end and the whole album is omagge to her late Uncle Johnny (mentioned throughout the song) and the LGTBQ community, which he was part of. He introduced her to this type of music. I think the line “Uncle Johnny made my dress, that cheap spandex she looks a mess” is referred to the Homecoming dress her Uncle made!
I’m going to see her live this weekend. I’m beyond excited!
I’m seeing her nashville!!! Can’t wait
Eat it, eat it, eat it eat it eat it
My mom when it’s almost bedtime and I’m really not hungry:
@@Pikachu-qr4yb😂
Just saw her in London and this was THEEEEEEE moment!!!
And yes we were hyped during this performance lol
This album consisted of House/Electronic, Afrobeats, Funk, Disco and some reggae.... a FEW of the many forms of "Black" music. ;)
Btw, everything I've shared, Beyonce has pretty much said so I'm not here simply giving my own observations. :)
Beyoncé- partition❤️
I know she was also coached by big Freedia for this song. It reminds me of drake alittle. And her sister helped her with the background vocals. This is a great song!
Drake actually wrote this song
@@deionwoods4473he didn't write the whole song
@@carmenblk440 I know he wrote some of the stuff not all
@deionwoods4473 no he didn't.
Johnny was her mom's best friend and Beyoncé/solange who knew him as uncle. Long story short uncle Johnny made Beyoncé prom dress and I guess some girl she knew or something showed up with a cheap looking dress lol that’s why she made that reference “uncle Johnny made my dress that cheap spandex she looks a mess” lol quote me if I’m wrong beyhive
My favourite is Church Girls, so fun
Beyonce's music has always been very "empowering".... usually to the Black community and women generally, so there's nothing "different" other thab the group that she's specifically focused on for this album. ;)
The LGBTQ community and House music. The Black queer community who helped lay the foundation for House, which was birthed on Chicago's Southside by Black DJ's who later taught European DJ's the art.
Beyonce was particularly inspired by her late Uncle Johnny, who is mentioned in this song, & was a gay man who gave her a lot of artistic inspiration musically.
Plz do more renaissance videos specially cozy / pure honey reaction
you need to hear the fan made tour version of heated on RUclips. I'd say its the best version .. also watching her live perform this was amaazing
Beyonce- patition
I’m seeing her in nashville this saturday!!❤
This song is FIRE❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
the renaissance album is a flex
If you like Reggae you'd like Hold Up. Actually the whole Lemonade album is just a masterpiece, but all of the songs are all over the place when it comes to genre (in the best way possible). And the Lemonade album at face value is about her emotions through Jay-z's infidelity
This is afrobeats/dancehall so yeah, it is related to reggaeton ❤
Virgo's groove, please
I can't find your Agora Hills reaction, are you missing Doja Cat's last album?🤔
Not me viving real hard with you on the best part of the song and you put an add in the middle of it
Research the album noodle
Tal Péër, From Israel, chemistry teacher getting the only Asian studen pragnent at the age of 17. No. ❤
You can’t call you boarding school five years theaching your beloved class uncle?? Cause I’m Korean who was borrn in Russia???? With Jewish family all around the world?? Painting nazzi symbols on Corrie Ten Boom? Patkinas grandchild in Israel 🇮🇱 bounjur bon nei 🤙🙏🏼
The song is not about Jay Z....
The first part of this song is actually written by drake. His reference track is online. It’s really hard not to hear once you know imo. The first part sounds like a drake song
Aawww lawd....
Beyonce is not a Hip Hop artist. Lol
And come a long way?
She's had Barbara Streisand, Prince, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner and several other legends singing (pun) her praises for decades. 😬💆🏽♀️
You can find some of that footage here on RUclips. Lol
It's clear that you know nothing about the woman, which is fine....
but it is better not to Pretend like you do. ;) lol
Ciao
🤣
For someone who claimed to love Beyoncé you sure seem to like turning ppl away from her. Here is someone trying to get into her music and you come here and say this. Some fan you are.
@@Honey-rp6zx
Surely you aren't THIS gullible? Lol 😬 Whoa...
The guy couldn't care less about Beyonce, which is actually quite apparent by the obvious mistakes he was spouting off as fact. ;) Fraudulent at best. Lol
It's all about Clicks for most of these reactors, particularly ones like him.
They pretend to be into "The Culture" or certain aspects of it to lure in more of an audience. Please don't be so naive. ;) lol
And if MY reasonably expressed fact-filled message is enough to hurt someone to the point of changing their attitude towards an artist, then they have much deeper issues to contend with.
This is the point of social media.
Where strangers from across the globe engage in discussions with varying opinions and ideals. If you have yet to understand that then perhaps this isn't the platform for you.
You reek of Prepubescent energy....
A rabid Beyhive stinging again. Gworl, don't force someone from liking or hating her. It's life.
An advice from a new Beyhive who once called her "overrated", thank you.
@@mishavelado Hey Genius...
Demonstrating an explanation of actual Facts is NOT synonymous with being a "rabid" fan/stan.
Your "rabid" use of the latest internet jargon does however demonstrate some low emotional IQ and possible prepubescence on your part, though. ;)
I'm don't "fan" for any artist. I am an admirer of some individuals work... and I believe in correcting ignorance & misinformation when I see it. If you find that a difficult concept then perhaps you have more maturing to do. ;)
You may save "gworl" for ppl you know personally &/or your playmates online. ;)
I'm not that WOMAN. ;)
Now go learn something useful.... lol
Ciao
