Thanks Hugh for shouting me out on the channel! Happy to help to show these fake devices that are on all these sites. I'll definitely try your app on future devices but it is unfortunate it doesn't work on older ones as Android 4 - 6 WELCOME things are still being sold. Nonetheless I hope you enjoyed looking at some of the cheaper WELCOME things :)
The reason why the battery is so small at 4:40 is probably because it was scavenged from another used electronic device, then soldered into the phone for re-use. Don't expect the capacity to be even the original capacity of the cell, let alone whatever the manufacturer (Welcome) claimed.
What's worse is that the battery they scavenged might even have become a spicy pillow, and they just poke a hole in it to make it not "pillow", meaning the battery is likely bad as well, and is liable to explode.

To me, the best budget phones are always used flagships, they can go for really low, depending on how old, and its always gonna have better cameras, screens and build qulity, even if the performance is no longer what it was. There are plenty of shops dedicated to this, here in the EU, and they are all obligated to offer the same 3-year warranty as a new device.

Be careful when you buy devices from online shops.
That back cover is a travesty. If these were honest about their specs and had an actual Qi coil in the back with that styling, I really think they'd be one of the best looking phones on the market.
China has no safety standards whatsoever. I have tested many products that can or will kill you. So, making products with specs that are false, why would they care. It's all MONEY, MONEY. As long as the money keeps coming the Chinese government simply does not give a S**t. They are not 100% to blame. If an iPhone is available for $150 you must know it's not the real thing. You almost deserve to be coned for being such an idiot.

Just don't buy at wish, aliexpress or temu. And if you have realtives or friends who do it, show them this video. If you need a cheap phone, buy an old flagship phone. Still pretty good performance, just change the battery... if the company allows you to do it.
Same, atleast my welcome i15 came with a large 4000 mah battery, i checked the info on it and its 4000 mah, and with aosp ibstalled, it does not drain like it did with the modded android with alk the spyware
What annoys me regarding these fake phones is the impact on the environment, not been a product that can last by any chance they'll be scraped sooner then others.
Thanks for showing this, I'm going to get the iTest app on any phone I have now just as a useful testing tool (and verification of features etc). Also note how a lot of the fakes are all Welcome devices, probably from the same manufacturer as well. The only two good devices from the lot was that small Android phone, and the smart MP3 player device. Personally, I wouldn't mind having an Android MP3 player, as I could load music onto it as well as use apps like Spotify and RUclips, so it becomes a standalone media player (without the need for using a phone) as well as a good test device.

Moral of the story, don’t buy Chinese.
the average Chinese smartphone has more cameras than the population of Europe combined 🌍 😂
That back cover is a travesty. If these were honest about their specs and had an actual Qi coil in the back with that styling, I really think they'd be one of the best looking phones on the market.
The Oz collab we all needed!
Honestly, who would buy a Mobile on Aliexpress ....
Super broke people
him losing it after seeing the comically tiny battery is priceless
This should be illegal
China has no safety standards whatsoever. I have tested many products that can or will kill you. So, making products with specs that are false, why would they care. It's all MONEY, MONEY. As long as the money keeps coming the Chinese government simply does not give a S**t.
They are not 100% to blame. If an iPhone is available for $150 you must know it's not the real thing. You almost deserve to be coned for being such an idiot.
Alibaba deserves a 1 grit form of punishment fr
I feeel like AA Batteries aren't far away man xD
when the pulled up a PIPI phone💀
3:03 that has to run Android 8.x due to the ".0" after the "14" yet it has the modern stock android icons. the other one might run Android 9 or newer due to the lack of the ".0"
I have been summoned oh what do we have here a bunch of knock-off flagships
RIP my notifications😂
Oh wait Itest is on Android
Well that is crazy it was only a suggestion but it is now literally on Android 😂
Even the battery it smaller even though the phone has lot of battery space. That will not have a Battery Explostion like it did with Note 7

Just don't buy at wish, aliexpress or temu. And if you have realtives or friends who do it, show them this video.
If you need a cheap phone, buy an old flagship phone. Still pretty good performance, just change the battery... if the company allows you to do it.
I bought a Xiaomi Redmi 5G phone from Temu for $200 and it works very well.
this is clearly an ad and you couldve announced it with a separate video, rather than purposely test crappy phones to show "how good it is"
The battery made me laugh so hard 😂
Same, atleast my welcome i15 came with a large 4000 mah battery, i checked the info on it and its 4000 mah, and with aosp ibstalled, it does not drain like it did with the modded android with alk the spyware
Just a big ad
That you watched
That one with the actual (low-quality) glass back was funny, lol. It was almost... freemium feeling!
Second from Albania 🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱
12th actually
What's worse. It's the malware they come shipped with, designed to access your credentials
I don't think these phones are even capables of running malware 😂

Lineage os can be installed for safty
I'm still waiting for the ad to finish.
Kidding, love your work.
What annoys me regarding these fake phones is the impact on the environment, not been a product that can last by any chance they'll be scraped sooner then others.
1:43 unable to unhear that welcome jingle in my head after knowing what the jingle sounds like in a mrwhosetheboss video
Lg g3 boot aufio, i have a welcome device and checked the files
If it says welcome, its generaly a chepo device and if you get scamed by one, flash a custom rom on it
Thanks for showing this, I'm going to get the iTest app on any phone I have now just as a useful testing tool (and verification of features etc).
Oh god we got the SMOOREZ and Hugh Jeffreys Collab before GTA 6
awesome app! i cant wait to see it used more in future videos
What a way to show capabilities of your app.
Making a version of iTest for older android versions (4-6) might not be a bad idea if you buy bootlegs again in the future
Many thanks for making this app one-time purchise and not a subscription-based bloat
The moment I saw the developer's name, I immediately purchased the app. Thank you, Hugh.
Haha, thanks Hugh, that was hilarious and concerning at the same time!
I have RedMagic 9 Pro and it's great don't criticize when you haven't bought any,if the price is low it's too good to be true
Hey Hugh, have you considered publishing the app to F-droid repository?
"I hope it's not stealing my fingerprint" don't worry Google already does it
I love smoorez too! you both have such amazing channels! subbed 2 both for years
