About this concert
Over the years, the Ammodo Masterclass has become a household name throughout the world. The three-day masterclass gives four talented young conductors the chance to conduct the Concertgebouw Orchestra while at the same time receiving instruction from a prominent maestro. This time Paavo Järvi will be presiding, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation. Under his supervision the candidates will be conducting a varied selection of works from the symphonic repertoire.
The Ammodo Masterclass is invaluable to the conductors participating, to young musicians and to all music lovers looking to learn more about the fascinating interaction between conductor and orchestra. it seems to me that they don't understand that Paavo Jårvi's advices are not friend's talks!! But precious advices from a real conductor (!) to students, only students: because it's clear that they have a long, long long road ahead....

these young candidates look relaxed and "cool" also with Maestro Jårvi.... but in reality they show that they are extremely immature musically and this orchestra,so excellen, is really wasted
