mine has been paid for for over three yrs. i have had all drivetrain replaced/rebuilt except rear end. about $7k in two yrs. since no car pmnt i'm still ahead.
Currently it is in the shop with a demolished transfer case. We will probably be $1500 to fix that one. Not having a car payment is the way to go especially if you can save that payment for repairs.
I have a 07 h3 I just replaced the transmission waiting any day for the motor to go out in it. It has 290 thousand. It's been good truck to me I won't get rid of it
I am glad I went ahead and got it replaced instead of getting rid of the whole thing. They are just fun to drive. I am saving to get some paint now. If you ever need a used motor there is a place in Florida that did a great job getting me a used motor. Be sure and send the VIN. I got the wrong wiring config and had to return it. $500 worth of shipping later I was in business.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I had to take a loan out to buy another vehicle. Why? as a backup. Good call going with a reman Trans. I bought an ex fire chief Tahoe with a reman transmission. God Bless you and your wife.
The H3 is not great for a daily driver. It has not been greatly reliable and have put thousands of dollars in replacing the motor, transmission and now the tranfer case. This is all around the 150k mileage. Hopefully I can get 150k out of the new parts. I probably won't sell it.
Isn't there something in the Bible about pride ? Or coveting or something. Lol your really into owning a Hummer... Just gigging ya no disrespect... God Bless your wife
I guess the pride before you fall is so true. Hummer is currently in the shop with a busted transfer case. I will have a new vehicle before it is over with all these repairs. The great thing is the wife is on her third cancer-free scan. Life is pretty good even without our Hummer. Thanks for the comments. Bryan

repeatman thanks for the encouraging words. I hope to have some videos on the new motor.
I'm about to do the same for my H3 new motor leak down test #3 gone. Do you regret doing this or?
