I don't think God has a husband for everyone but I do want to get married some day

Yep, not for everyone! But He knows what He’s doing, and we can trust Him! That’s a beautiful desire! 😊

Should we actively date (to find a future marriage partner) or do absolutely nothing (not putting in effort towards finding someone) and wait on god to bring someone into our lives? I’ve searched up this topic and got perspectives on both sides. Some say you have to do something because god wont send someone knocking on your front door and others say to fully focus on god and let him take care of it. Do you think there is some type of middle ground where we date/court (getting to know others) while praying & relying on god to approve the right one?

Good question! Yes I believe there is a middle ground, and it differs from person to person. Obviously, we can’t do absolutely nothing, but sometimes in certain seasons of our life, God asks us to focus on one thing more than another (e.g. the pursuit of marriage). And through our obedience, God leads us to where He wants us to be at the right time, and for many that is marriage to the person God has for them. The key is to, as always, seek Him first and be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading. And you can only achieve this if you’re abiding closely in the Lord. In everything we do, dating or not dating, we do it for the glory of God! 🙌🏼

Given my family's history with divorce it does make it hard to trust God

Been really trying, but it's only been getting harder I feel.
If there is no one for me I rather get to heaven sooner than later at this point😅🥲
I feel I missed the opportunity with one of my best friends because I was too scared to at the time.
