No matter how smart or capable you are, no matter how much resources you have, no matter how much you have it “all figured out”, you’re not as in control of your life as you think. Tough truth, but even if you feel like you can, you can’t make it on your own. And no matter how solidly you prepare and plan for your life, ultimately, it’s God’s purposes that will prevail. It’s God’s plans that will materialize. Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” So, save yourself the unnecessary struggles and the unnecessary pains, and be wise to seek and follow God’s leading. And if you’re trying to please God, how can you please Him if you don’t seek His instructions? How can you go to where God wants you to go if you don’t follow Him? Scripture tells us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” (James 1:5). When you ask the Lord for guidance in all your endeavors, no matter how big or small, you can be sure that you will be following God’s will. And so, if you do obey His leading, things will ultimately turn out for the best (Romans 8:28). Train your heart and mind to always seek God’s instructions in everything. The Lord’s ways may not always be the smoothest path to walk in - in fact, bumps in the road are practically guaranteed - but you can trust that it’s the best path. You may not see the results of your obedience right away, but it’s a sure win, since it’s God’s will. Victory is yours in Christ Jesus. He is the Way, and His words are life. Seek Him. #christianreels #christian #scripture #prayer #bible #biblestudy #devotional #christiancommunity #gospel #spiritualgrowth

We shouldn’t be surprised if people who aren’t following Christ are doing the things they do only for themselves. For their own self-centered benefit and pleasure. But if you’ve dedicated your life to Jesus, in all you do, you should be asking this question. Because in 1 Thessalonians 2:4b, we read: “We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.” As a follower of Christ, you have to regularly ask the Lord to examine your heart. Because we may just be like the Pharisees who claimed to be worshiping God but were hypocrites and were actually doing things to please people for their own selfish gain. You may be doing something good, but what is your motive? What is in your heart? Why are you doing what you do? Is it really to glorify God or is to satisfy your selfish desires? “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” (Galatians 1:10) It’s easy for us to fall into an illusion that we’re doing something good, but if it’s not God’s will for us, we should be thinking twice. Remember, the heart is deceitful. It’s easy to think that we’re doing something good for the Lord, but if we have a different agenda other than to please God and glorify Him, we should most definitely reconsider our ways. And even if we’re doing what God tells us to do, if we’re not doing it in His terms, we should recheck our heart if it’s still aligned with God’s heart. If we are doing things for the Lord and not for our own selfish motives and purposes, we will be able to put God first and worship Him as we should. It’s all about Him, not us. He’s the main character, and this is His story. #christianreels #christian #scripture #prayer #bible #biblestudy #devotional #christiancommunity #gospel #spiritualgrowth #bibletruth #praisethelord #kingjesus

Great advice
Sometimes you realize that you need to abide in Christ only when you actually do. Truly, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41) And there are way too many DISTRACTIONS in the world. The farther you are from Christ, the more the enemy’s lies can get to you. Don’t let this be the case. If you don’t help your flesh out, your spirit will grow thirsty. So here are a few practical suggestions: 1. Set a fixed time to do your devotional. (e.g. 30 minutes before getting ready for work) ⏰ 2. Play (and even sing) worship songs to help yourself “get in the mood”. It’s okay to get a little emotional jumpstart, but remember that that’s not the main thing. 🎶 3. If you don’t know what more to pray about, read out loud from a prayer book or get inspiration from a devotional book. These can help you get your thoughts out. 🙏🏼 4. Play an audio bible or a sermon online. 🎧 5. Put distractions away. 🙅♀️ “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.“ (John 15:4) #christianreels #christian #scripture #prayer #bible #biblestudy #devotional #christiancommunity #gospel #spiritualgrowth #biblestudytips
Very true. As Christians we are supposed to representatives of Christ. The way we act, talk and do things are how people reflect Christ actions in their eyes. They see us doing something bad, they themselves think that it is good. How we speak to others; how others think people talk to one another in the faith and out of it. They see us being deceitful, disrespectful, abhorrent, vain, narcissistic. They see that it is what all of us do. Which is why a lot of people see the faith as bad. As soo many people follow Christ yet not His actions and ways. They don't follow the teachings. So people lose faith, or walk away as they start. As they only see conflict in the church. They see pastors and preachers who only preach wealth, so they grow to love money and prosperity. They see people preaching God's love only. Yet don't tell them to move away from their sins and they need to change. So they think that they can do all that they please. We are His people. God already came in the flesh to go on the cross. He already showed us everything. So it is our turn to pick us the cross and spread His truth to all that will listen. We can't get everyone. We can only hope we plant a seed within them. We are His foot soldiers. Putting on the armor of God. To go forth to be His people. He wants none of us to perish. So He is using us, to bring others to Him. Our actions and ways should reflect in God's ways. Christ Jesus. God bless you dear sister. Very eye opening question to look at ourselves everyday to see. If we are in fact truly being Christlike. Soo glad to have you back. Soo happy to see you smile. Please keep taking care of yourself. Hope you're okay. Be safe 😁💙
We should also be telling people that it is by faith alone that we are saved. Not by works. That it is by His grace and mercy He gave us a way to salvation. With a little faith and trust. He will save you.
One of the most dangerous things to threaten the spiritual growth and spiritual life of a believer is not what we might first think of. It is not suffering, or trials, or affliction, or persecution, or even death …. it is comfort. If our lives as believers are quite comfortable, it is very likely that we are not walking as Christ walked. While this admittedly broad statement is not always applicable, I believe it can be in two specific ways. The first is that, if our lives as believers are overly comfortable, It is very likely that we are not striving against our inward sins and walking in sanctifying obedience. Secondly, it is possible that we are not sacrificially serving others, as Christ consistently (and ultimately in the cross) did. This post excellently addresses the second of those two concerns. We are called to walk as Christ walked. Part of what that means is that we must sacrificially serve those around us. We must give of ourselves, seek their good, seek their edification, and place their needs above our own. We must sacrifice, as Christ did … such that those we serve not only experience the love of Christ through us, but are also pointed to Him as the source of that love. Such sacrificial service is not easy, but it is necessary. It builds the kingdom, serves others, points to Christ, and sanctifies us. It makes things quite uncomfortable at times, yes. But there is little concern for “comfort” in the command to “take up your cross and follow me.” Excellent post 🙏💪 😁

I believe this... I believe that...😂 *Belief has no place where truth is concerned*
Charles Spurgeon wrote, “I have learned to kiss the waves that throw me up against the Rock of Ages.” This is a beautiful and a brilliant analogy. One could imagine each of us as captains as we pilot our small, shoddy vessels across the great sea of life. And like any good captain, we seek to avoid being dashed upon dangerous rocks, or lost at sea, or overturned in a great storm. Rather, we desire calm seas and blue skies. For it is under such conditions that we can sail our vessels wherever we desire. Under such conditions, we are the masters of our vessel. How wonderful, how empowering, how satisfying, how enlivening such control is .... and how foolish. For as captains of our own vessel, we are so easily distracted by all the various ports and lands and cities that beckon and entice us to put into dock and spend a day or two ... or a lifetime ... or an eternity. But there is only one place towards which the Christian is sailing; only one shore upon which we must yearn to set foot. We are all bound for the Lord's country; we are all headed to His land. The problem is that we are so easily diverted from our course. We speak fondly of how much we desire to look upon the shores of our Lord's land yet we often sail our vessels in completely opposite directions. That is when the Lord will often use storms to break our current course and set us back in the right direction, towards His land. The storms of life, like storms at sea, are terrifying. They dash us and throw us about like broken vessels. They threaten even to sink us under the waves of suffering and drown us in the dark depths of despair and hopelessness. But take heart, brethren. Such storms serve to set us back on course towards the only land that is truly our home. And even if the storms are so severe and terrible that your vessel is utterly destroyed, or even that you are drowned beneath the waves ... rest assured that you will awaken on the shores of His country. Some saints pilot their vessels peacefully into the port of His land, others wash up on the shore after they have drowned. Nonetheless, both have reached home. 🙏💪❤️
Excellent 🥰
God wants to speak with us. He wants to hear you. He wants to know all your problems and burdens. Tell Him everything. How you feel in the moment. How you felt in the past. Tell Him what happened and what you did. He wants you to tell Him everything. He loves you and wants to know you. If you truly seek Him and want to speak eith Him. He will sit and listen. He wants to help you with your problems. He wants to heal your heart and fills the emptiness youre feeling. Youre sad and upset. Tell Him. You are happy and jumping with joy. Tell Him. He wants to know. Speaking with Him is taking steps towards listening to Him. Ask for His help and let Him take the wheel. He will teach you things. He will show you the correct direction to go. God bless you Kim. Hope youre taking care of yourself. You look great. Youre His beautiful daughter. Take care dear sister. Be safe 😁💙

God bless you too!
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” Jesus says in Luke 6:46. You’ve probably accepted Christ into your heart already, but is He really your Lord? You know that Jesus is God, but is Jesus really the God of your life, or is someone else or something else taking His rightful place? Right now, ask the Lord to examine your heart and reveal to you if you have any idols in your life, in whatever form or extent. It can be a relationship, your career, a material possession, a status, a hobby, and so on. Even ministry can be an idol! If you don’t ask this question regularly, you may not realize that you are already cheating on God. If He’s not the Lord of your life, doesn’t that mean that He isn’t first in your heart? And if He isn’t first in your heart, trust me, you’re the one who’s gonna end up heartbroken. In John 14:15, Jesus says, “If you love me, keep my commands.” Consider what great things He has done for you. And fully surrender to the Lord first and foremost your heart, then your ways, then your life. If He’s the true Lord of our lives, we are certainly going to live our best life regardless of circumstances, and we can live with joy in the certainty that we’re coming home to Him. . . . . . . . #christianreels #christian #scripture #prayer #bible #biblestudy #devotional #christiancommunity #gospel #spiritualgrowth #jesuslovesyou #godfirst #jesusislord #kingjesus #christianwomen
lately I've been stuck in the all is vanity depression
I’m sorry! I know, trust me. Let’s keep trusting God with His promises and press forward!
In his book entitled, “Deserted By God,” Pastor Sinclair Ferguson looks at the challenge of suffering in the life of a believer through the lens of the Psalms. In this excellent, encouraging, and empathetic work, Ferguson states that “throughout the Scriptures, God is talking to us. But in the Psalms, it is almost as if He is talking for us.” The meaning of this is that through the Psalms, the Lord has allowed some of His best servants to cry out, lament, express their suffering, their sadness, their doubts, and even their despair. In doing this, the Lord is demonstrating how He knows and understands what we face, what we suffer, and how we feel about it. And in that understanding and loving empathy, the Lord also gives us a promise. As believers, we will stumble. And what it means to “stumble,” involves anything that brings us low. Perhaps we have stumbled in our battle against sin. Perhaps we have stumbled, by divine providence, into valleys of great suffering, of cancer, or of chronic illness, of heartbreak, or of loneliness. Perhaps we have stumbled in our daily walk with the Lord through prayer and the reading of His word. Whatever it is that we face, we can never stumble into something so horrifically that we shall fall into the abyss. The Lord has promised to uphold us. Believe that promise, brethren. Rest in it; gain strength from it. Continue to fight the good fight knowing that the victory is assured, no matter how terrible the path to victory may look. Excellent verse for memorization 🙏 💪 ❤️

Out thoughts and actions should align with God. We should ask God if anything we do or say is good in His eyes only. We should see people in God's eyes. How do we do that? We use the bible. We use what He has written to compare the person against. We use it as a guideline to see if that person is with God or against Him. Whether they're taking you away from God or bringing you closer. Are they lying and so forth. It will be a slippery slope as some are great deceivers. So we ask God for discerment. We ask Him to shine the light upon them to see their true character. The Holy Spirit that dwells within our bodily temples to guide us to the correct course of action. All of it should align with God's word. Ask Him anything. It's best to wait for a correct answer, than to do something thinking its correct. As that can lead to a pattern of incorrect behaviour that God doesn't see as good. God bless you Kim. Hope you're feeling okay. Hope you're taking care of yourself and eating good. Keep on praying. As the same God that created that beautiful sunset. Also created you with that much care and love. Keep going dear sister. Be safe 😁🙏
@@brandonzerafa1783 Thank you, brother! God bless!
Thank you for your time and tips I really appreciate
Many of us have been people-pleasers at some point. Some of us are obsessed with how other people think of us, even just in our outward appearance. We’re very conscious. Even if you’re not really a people-pleaser, you may very well value what your loved ones or your closest friends think about you or about your life. If we could only apply that same level of care about what other people think to what God thinks, we would be better able to do God’s will and please Him. In Romans 8:8, we are reminded that: “Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.” What does Jesus think about your thoughts? Your intentions? Your choices? Your priorities? Your lifestyles? Will He be pleased? Or do you still have a lot to surrender to Him that you haven’t surrendered yet? What does Jesus feel about how you treat the people in your life? Does Jesus want you to judge that person or to harbor hatred for that other person? In Luke 6:35-36, Jesus tells us: “But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” Before I became a Christian, I cared about nobody but myself. But ever since I became a follower of Christ, my heart towards others has miraculously softened. And whenever I start to feel even the slightest hint of hatred towards anybody, the Holy Spirit is faithful enough to remind me that the person I’m about to hate is also His creation, whom He cares about. This person may or may not be a believer, this person may have a disagreeable personality in general, but God’s grace reaches even those who turn away from Him. Be kind to them just as the Lord has been kind to you while you were still in rebellion against Him. Always try to see things, both internal and external, through the eyes of the Lord. His Holy Spirit, who dwells in you, empowers you to do this. So in everything, always try to put yourself in Jesus’ shoes - or rather, in Jesus’ sandals. . . . . . . #christian #christianreels #scripture #biblestudy #spiritualgrowth #gospel
Some have asserted that the Psalms are little more than beautiful poetry and song, but certainly not a well from which we may draw doctrinal truths. With such an assertion I would humbly and vigorously disagree. While Christian doctrine covers many areas, assuredly, there is no doctrinal field from which may reap a more beautiful and satisfying harvest than that of knowing the character, the attributes, and the nature of God. In this Psalm, as well as in so many others, the Psalmist gives us a divinely revealed view into one of God's attributes: His absolute sovereignty. The Psalmist declares, “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.” The immediate question we must ask is why? Why would the Psalmist trust in God if God is merely one of many different powers exerting ultimate control over his life? Is he saying that he will trust in God to do whatever God is able to do but that, ultimately, it's not up to God? Is he saying that God may have good intentions and plans but that those intentions and plans might be completely derailed by other powers in the universe that God cannot foresee or control? Assuredly his faith and trust was in a far more powerful God than that. So confident was the Psalmist in the sovereignty of God that he boldly declares, “what can mere men do to me?” And he says this knowing full well that evil men could, in fact, inflict harm and even death upon him. But so firm was his faith in the sovereignty of the Lord that he knew that even his death was not beyond the purpose and decretive will of God. Indeed, this is an example of the kind of faith that says, “Not My will, but Yours be done;” it is the kind of faith that trusts in the complete sovereignty of God. We must strive to practice such faith in our lives, brethren. We must have faith in a God who is completely sovereign over all things, especially those things which cause us fear. For only then can we confidently say, as the Psalmist did, “when I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.” Excellent verse for memorization 🙏 💪 ❤️

When we are afraid we should remember. God is with us. He is our protector. He has overcome the world. Nothing made by man will bring you harm. His promises are genuine and cannot be broken by man. Nothing God has planned for you can be taken away, or moved. For it is His will. Trusting in Him is the best thing we can do. As trusting in Him is giving Him control. Giving Him all of you. Giving Him all your emotions and worries. He will sort your life out. He will put things in place correctly. He will fix all that is broken. He will replace the bad with the good in time. Never fear man or the world as God is greater than them. He will fight your battles. He will protect you with His wings. He will be the light in the darkness. It will drown out all the evil. God bless you Kim. Amazing verse to listen to constantly. It's a daily reminder to never be afraid. You're doing great work. Make sure you're taking care of yourself. Eat and drink. Exercise if you can. Keep on praying and reading. You're loved. Be safe. 😁🙏

I think I have the gift of singleness. I am a mother but that was before I came to christ. I actually thought I might have liked a man just recently but it turns out my feeling was one of just friendship and I feel bad because I had to tell him. I don't have feelings of love truly just friendship and sometimes I get my feelings confused, but I am actually quite happy to be by myself and to remain single for the rest of the time God gives me.

No matter how intelligent, well-educated, or experienced you are, the Bible warns that you should not rely on your own wisdom. Why not? We should not depend on our own wisdom because our heart, which most of the time overrules whatever wisdom we have, is DECEITFUL, as Jeremiah 17:9 says. We may not realize it all the time, but we are naturally SELFISH. Let me share with you what I’ve realized for myself. Without the transformative power of Christ in your life, all you would care about is YOURSELF. Even if you do care about others, you care about them only because they give you something good - whether that’s a material resource, a good emotion, or simply a sense of fulfillment. So how can we trust this selfish heart? And how can we trust this VULNERABLE mind, which the enemy lurks around 24/7? It’s so easy for Satan to prey on and to attack our flesh. And the world can be very MISLEADING and DISTRACTING on its own. Truly, we are “hard pressed on every side” (2 Corinthians 4:8). And we still want to rely on our own fleshly, worldly, limited wisdom? Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” But when we rely on God’s wisdom and not our own, we know that the way we’re going is not only right, but is best. As Charles Spurgeon said, discernment is knowing the difference between right and almost right. So just like what King Solomon did, ask God for wisdom, and He will give it to you. Don’t rely on your own wisdom. Consult with the Holy Spirit. Check with God’s Word. And seek the counsel of Godly people who are actively walking with the Lord. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.” (Proverbs 3:5-7) #christianreels #christian #scripture #prayer #bible #biblestudy #wisdom #christiancommunity #devotional #faith #spiritualgrowth #church #jesus #jesussaves #gospel #truth #salvation #bibleverse #christianwomen #proverbs
Well said. No matter what scares us. Our Lord is their to comfort us. He shows us He is our protector and we should not be afraid. It is written 365 times. A daily reminder to us all I can't do it. You can. You no longer have to rely on your own strength. He gives you renewed strength. With Him and faith. You can move mountains. I keep doing the same sin. A wise man falls 7 times yet gets up. A fool stays down. He is greater than all the sin. He took it all for us on His back. His mercy and forgiveness are greater. You feel overwhelmed. God is there. He will take it all. Just give it to Him. He will unload all your burdens unto Him. Replace it with peace and love. God bless you. Take care. Be safe 😁🙏

Our Advocate. Always knowing. Always able. Always in charge. Always good. Always here. Thank You, Holy Spirit. 🕊️ Bible references for the poem above: “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:26-27 NIV) “‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” (Isaiah 41:10 NASB1995) “The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him. The Lord is their strength, And He is a saving defense to His anointed.” (Psalm 28:7-8 NASB1995) “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV) “If we are faithless, he remains faithful- for he cannot deny himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13 ESV) “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39 ESV) #christian #bibleverses #christianpoetry #poem #poems #christianpoem #faith #holyspirit #jesus #godfirst #godisgood #encouragement #spiritualgrowth #bible #devotional #devo #prayer #worship #praiseandworship #christianblog #christiancommunity #christianwomen #trinity #biblestudy #scripture #jesuslovesyou #gospel #truth #relationship #salvation

Whatever actions we take and Whatever we say. Reflect how we see God. With a few exceptions of course. How we treat people. To how we speak to them. How we view people. Do we see ourselves better than others. Do you hate for no reason. We hate what God hates. We treat people how God showed us. We are equal in God's eyes as He created us all equal. In order to glorify God. Our actions and words should be Christ like. It should align with His Word. If you have choices to make. Do the one that shows God that most. To show glory to Him. Whatever happens in life. Give Him the glory. In the good and the bad. Give Him all the glory. As He is worthy of it all. Without Him. We wouldn't be here. We wouldn't have survived up until now. We wouldn't have been able to see the beauty He has created. To glorify Him is the bare minimum of what we should do. He blesses us. He guides us. He protects us. He has unfailing love for us. Your actions and word should always be glorifying Him. Everyday. Thank Him. Give Him all the thanks. God bless you Kim. Glad to see you well. Take care. Be safe 😁🙏
