Idk I think its pretty boring. No challenge and the levels feel pretty bland to me. Just my opinion though. I think DKC (obviously another platformer series from Nintendo) is better than any Kirby game.
But Kirby is boring. There isn't a single game in the series that offers any kind of challenge. And Fauwful is the worst, most annoying Mario character to date.

As a Kirby main, I tend to primarily play him for utility and stupidly stupid combos. But yeah, he boring sometimes. But then again, I gravitate toward Big Band-style experimentation.

Hey in elementary I read this book called the Magician's Nephew that was a prequel to the Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Apparently the woman who would become the White Witch had spoken a forbidden word that brought her world to ruin. As in she is literally the only survivor of it. Everything and Everyone else was dead and crumbling.
As a Kirby main, he is incredibly disappointing. But not due to the whole "11/21 moves are just generic kicks" thing, but due to the fact that he just isn't treated right. I honestly think it was a good idea to not make his entire moveset just copy abilities. He's meant to be a basic, simple character. Instead, Sakurai has been neglecting his boy... He was a king in 64, but then in Melee, he flopped... sometimes literally. He has been progressively getting better since Brawl, but I just can't believe how Sakurai just ditched his own son as hard as he did. Let alone the WHOLE FRANCHISE. There are other games in the series other than just Dream Land, Adventure, and Super Star!

I’m still salty about X and Y never getting the expansion. Hell the completion that it deserves. Let alone some of its uncompleted ideas that ended up bleeding into Gen VII made the reminder oh the more disappointing for me.

And people really have the *gall* to say that Sakurai has bias towards Kirby in Smash? Well I say no, it's quite the opposite. Kirby's moveset is very uninspired, there's little to no representation of the games after Super Star, and there's only 3 reps in the series despite MANY of its characters being good picks, including of course, Bandana Waddle Dee. Sakurai has NO BIAS WHATSOEVER to Kirby. The only series he has a bias towards are Mario, Pokémon, and of course Fire Emblem.
I think I might have an idea of why. Remember, Kirby was part of the original 12 on N64 where there wasn’t as much to go off of. Just compare some of the veterans to newer characters. I’m not saying it isn’t disappointing, but that might be why.
Although I agree that Kirby definitely needs a more interesting move set, I’ve become so used to his current moveset that I’ve found him pretty fun to use.

As a Kirby main, I can confirm that we sleep every night with dreams that Kirby will have a more diverse moveset and be as good as Smash Ultimate Pikachu in Smash 6 after crying ourselves to sleep from the absolute dirtiness done to him to Melee onwards and how he was disrespectfully dunked twice by Byleth.

The timing of Virtual Console’s death really hits me on a personal level. My childhood consisted of the GameCube and GBA with a few seasonings of N64 sprinkled in. After N64, GameCube would’ve been next in line. It’s so frustrating! I haven’t played Double Dash since my disc died when I was a child!!!

You get a speed up feature, good online via netplay, mods, support for PS and Xbox controllers, and a lot other features you don't get with Nintendo rereleases. Not to mention it being for the grand prize of free, as opposed to having to pay Nintendo for the privilege of playing a ROM they likely got from the internet.
In the case of TF2, the situation only continues to get worse and worse. Casual is legitimately unplayable, being filled with constant bots that jump back into games after being kicked out. The only way to play it now is through community and MvM, but a game of this magnitude should NEVER be in this state of utter disownment by its parent company.
That Valve segment... genuinely hurt to watch. God I wish TF2 gets the love it deserves. The love it needs. Why do all the gaming franchises I love get mistreated so much? Sonic? I think you have bias against VR due to the valve ptsd. It’s not a fad, it has actual potential, it can’t reach it at the moment however due to hardware limitations. Games like Boneworks, Saints and Sinners, H3VR, and the upcoming Half Life: Alyx show that it can easily work. I highly doubt it’s just some temporary distraction. Also don’t blame vr for valve’s failure to make games, blame steam.
I'm with you on that. I have seen so many let's players play VR games and they are having a blast. And I want to try them. The games you listed and Beat Saber. Hell i remember i tried a game at a convention I was volunteering at. Microsoft was testing a new VR headset and I got to try it. I played a simple Arcade-style shooter and was having fun. Then I noticed time slowed. I looked over and I could matrix dodge the blasts. Right there I was sold on VR.
If VR can become a successful platform, it could possibly drive the market to lower the price to meet the demands. Honestly it feels like his hate is because he can't afford one.
'Cause putting so much of the blame on the Steam's "priorities" segment is kind of unfair when Sony does it as well. The main thing is with Steam is they are focusing more as a store/gaming platform and not games as a whole. And even then that's not a fault on VR to deserve that big of a rant

Kirby's been my Smash main ever since Melee because I like the gameplay. I don't give a fuck about how little it resembles the source material, I just have fun playing as Kirby.
Yeah, I'm not even a main but I feel the Kirby segment was kind of over blown. Hell what about Mario and Luigi? Out of all its power-ups all we have is the Fire Flower, Cape, and Polturgust. But does that make their gameplay less fun? Hell no they are still fun as all hell.

I agree that there's nothing wrong with a character having some rather basic straightforward attacks that don't reference something but still feel like something they would do(like how the mario bro's punches and kicks have a similar feel to mario's punch and kick animations in mario 64. heck, a large portion of kirby's normals either are direct references to moves from the fighter ability, references to other material(his nair references a pose kirby used to be commonly drawn in) anyway)

Not because of work conditions or lack of pay, in fact Capcom did everything they could to keep him around like giving him a higher place in the company and following every crap idea he had for appealing to the west leading to the blandest games and robot arm wife. Only for him to leave the company believing that the gaming industry in Japan was doomed (Probably because the shit games he was having the company make weren't selling because that wasn't what people wanted) leaving Capcom with a lot of damage to clean up. He is officially *that guy* in the group project, except he goes out the way to blame the reason his work wasn't done on the rest of the team.
One of my biggest personal gaming disappointments was "Spore". I LOVED the idea of making your own alien species and turning them into a civilization. And yeah, making the aliens was fun. Everything else...eh... Heck, even the Space Stage, which most people laude as the best stage of the game, didn't really interest me (though that's more on my end than the game itself, I must admit). Heck, with making aliens, unless you use mods, you can only customize them so much. I can understand way, as to make sure the game still runs smoothly, but it's still disappointing nevertheless. I still remember the good times I had with "Spore", but not without also recalling a feeling of disappointment.
yea the "Space Stage" portion of it is honestly the part I could give a rat's ass about as it just get's pretty tedious and boring (personally I like the creature stage a lot more since your given lot's of freedom in what you can do)
thing is while I did grow up with both Banjo-Kazooie & Banjo-Tooie....I still like Nuts & Bolts to this day and personally find it to be a criminally over hated game, sure it's not like the games before BUT I do like when a company is willing to try something new (provided they don't fuck it up which is something many companies are guilty of doing...lookin' at you SEGA). Frankly the "build your own vehicle" mechanic I do legitimately enjoy and it is pretty fun and honestly I think many people should give this game a 2nd chance
I don't think it's just the vehicle part that disturbs people. While yeah, it is a huge fuckin' disappointment that "Banjo-Threeie" turned out to be "LEGO Cars", it's also the fact that "Nuts and Bolts" spat on and desicrated the legacy of its predecessors- Banjo and Kazooie are fat now, " HeY, lOoK aT aLl ThEsE pOiNtLeSs ItEmS" and the fact that there's no respect towards the previous formula. Combined with the lying trailer that was released prior- promising a faithful remaster at the very fucking least- it was just a punch in the face for loyal fans. TL;DR: The concept was alright at best, but its execution was rude, double-crossing, and a straight-up lie. Perhaps if it was released alongside or after a true "Banjo 3", it would've done better. But as the only modern leg to stand on- besides B&K in Smash Ultimate- it's just... Disappointing.

@@Apotheosister That's true. Though if schedules are given to the player to fiddle with again, it's possible to have nocturnal villagers to appear earlier than usual so it's more accessible.
While I don't agree with the #2 placement personally, I understand those feelings. Nuts & Bolts was a pretty grand idea for a game that I personally think works, but the problem is that it is a massive departure from the gameplay of the previous Banjo-Kazooie games which is what kills it for many people. If Nuts & Bolts was an entirely new IP from Rare, it might have worked out better in the long run. The game's self-deprecating humor really didn't help either cuz while it did get some funny jokes and lines out of it, it still was shitting on what made the first two games successful in the first place.
When Fawful mentioned Kirby in smash bros I'm surprised he never brought up the fact that over 70% of Kirby representation in smash is just from the first 3 games As a Kirby fan, that's insulting

By "the Kirby series as a whole" you mean Dream Land, Adventure, Super Star and Air Ride, right? Those are obviously the only games in the franchise and there is no such thing as "Dark Matter Trilogy", "Flagship" and "Modern Kirby".
Yeah, musically it's nice, but it's still lacking. I also second BlueKirby64's critique, and remixes of planet Rock Star or Miracle Matter from K64, Spinning Jungle or Reflected Laughter from Triple Deluxe, and a plethora of tracks from Planet Robobot other than your typical final boss themes all feel neglected. Still, there is a series that got it worse. Another series known for a hero going spherical to stop their foes. And another series that was on the list. Do me a favor and check the character roster, map choices, and music selection for Sonic the hedgehog. One character, two maps, and only one remix, along with some of the most overused tracks throughout the series. If any franchise got shafted upon entering smash, it was the blue blur. (Heck, only the spindash and homing attack really stay faithful to the source with his moveset as well, not counting the final smash).

THANK YOU! I know in Smash 64, it was a more simpler time and Sakurai wants to keep true to how the characters played in there first appearance in a Smash game but I think it is about time Kirby gets an update in Smash. I can say the same with Ganondorf but at least they were improving with that.
i def understand Sticker Star being on the list but Color Splash is legitimately great, the formula was really improved, the completionist aspect of trying to cover all the necessary things with paint is fun, and the writing is really funny

To be fair, it's not always the developers' fault when shit hits the fan; you have to remember, it's still a job, so if something comes down from corporate (or, in this case, the publishers) that they're told they HAVE to do, they don't really have much of a choice in the matter: they either get sacked and lose their income, or they comply knowing full-well what they're doing won't be liked by the masses. Funny thing, though...sometimes hidden deep in the games' code, there'll be open letters from the devs to the publishers about the awful experience they've had working for their company or for them, and there are some HILARIOUSLY angry rants (Larry Bundy Jr. covered a few of 'em on his channel); I think the funniest one in recent memory is Metal Gear Survive where the devs hid a secret code in the opening credits basically saying "FUCKONAMI! KOJIMA FOREVER!" I don't remember exactly what it was, but yeah...all told, it's not fair to lay all the blame at the feet of the developers, just as it is not fair to lay all the blame of a bad movie or show at the feet of the writers.
I respect a lot of your choices in the list, but I would never have expected to see such a negative reaction towards alyx, especially considering all of the positivity surrounding.
It's "neat", to be sure. But I feel the buzz is mostly on the heels of it being ANY piece of software for one of their big franchises. But honestly, unless it gets a non-VR release...it basically doesn't exist to me. I do not like playing in VR.

honestly it hurts to see how little valve actually gives a fuck. my main point being about tf2, i know there are other games valve has been mistreating but i think honestly tf2 tops the list. as of now the bot crisis is at it's worst. bots and cheaters now have anti votekick. meaning when a single bot joins, it's over. there's nothing you could do to kick them off, because when one joins, several will follow. it really sucks to look at valve only to see no effort to fix this issue, if the bot crisis were to be fixed i honestly think tf2 could go back to almost it's prime, while yes there are other problems valve isn't fixing with tf2 for example, we haven't had a major update in over 4 years, but i feel that fixing the bot crisis would bring a lot of tf2 players back. sorry to go on that rant there but i felt like it needed to be said again.
Would it be ok to say that every sonic game after colors and generations was kinda a disappointment. Mania being the exception. Boom was hyped up to be Sonics next big thing but it just was a glitchy mess. Knuckles jump glitch is just one of them. The music surprisingly was dull and the game was boring and just not sonic. That's what I'd say was a huge disappointment.

I always feel bad for Zygarde. Unlike every other third legendary to the mascots of gens 3-8 was given something to do that had something resembling story relevance, even Eternatus who was only in one (two) game(s), Zygarde was never given anything to stretch his feelers to make himself important to the story and lore. Even in Gen 7, him becoming 100% was still only a footnote.
I can understand why you’re upset with Valve, they haven’t really paid much attention at all to their top tier franchises like Portal, Team Fortress, and Half-Life: the elephant in the room here. And I understand why you’re upset about Half-Life Alyx, but I am extremely hype for the game, and it actually got me to play the first Half-Life game, and I loved it, now one of my favorite FPS games. But I can totally get why you aren’t really obsessed over the new Half Life, it’s VR exclusive, and the gateway to VR is really expensive, $400 at the minimum on PC. And to spend that much money for one game isn’t really... worth it. My hope is that they can make Half-Life 3 due to Alyx’s success being the best selling VR game on Steam right now, before it’s even released. And while I am insanely hyped to play Half Life Alyx, I don’t think VR should become the new standard for gaming. I love VR, but I think it should be an alternative to gaming as opposed to it being the new standard. I want to see VR getting more support, like maybe have a Portal VR game at one point, I think that’d be awesome, but I also want them to make standard games, without VR being a necessity.

Gotta Say, was surprised that the "unfaithful smash character" entry went to Kirby. Don't get me wrong I can see the argument. Was just a little unexpected given how often people complain about Ganondorf in this regard. And technically Wario too. But those complaints are inaccurate when used on him.

Honestly my complaints with kirby are not due to the ammount of basic moves he has(i actually think the kick stuff for most of his normals fits though i was bugged by the badass burning dash attack getting replaced by the underwhelming looking yoyo spin until ultimate brought it back better than ever) but just in regard to how he's been screwed over as a character in general in every game after 64. Wario having almost zero warioland references in his moveset(as far as official smash goes. in project m he has an excellent balance of wario land and warioware) will forever bug me though. Sonic being a one trick pony who revolves entirely around hitting with one of his like 5 moves that look almost exactly the same and then running away is probably the single worst example though. a clearly rushed moveset that should have been completely revamped after brawl but didn't.
@@Pyrobaconstudios Sakurai wanted Sonic animations to be like the classic games rather than the modern ones. As for Wario, I don't know are you sure Wario is balanced in Project M?? Sakurai has a need to reduce characters for balance reasons.

Sakurai pours his heart and soul into this franchise and after lots of characters that he added for the fans (Banjo, Joker, Hero), he adds just one for himself and everybody explodes at him. First, the notion that one person decides all things related to a game is stupid, Nintendo probably pushed him to add it because of the 3 houses DLC. Second, sure, it's another FE character, but does it really matter as long as the moveset is unique, which it is? Finally, the smash community needs to be more grateful, Sakurai has said that him working on this franchise has caused him physical pain and stress, and without him, the game wouldn't exist at all. Is screaming at the creator of one of your favorite games that he's retarded for adding a character for himself when the last 5 have been for the fans any way to show gratitude?
@@benjaminmarson4622 Before I answer this, I will say that overtime I started to grow on byleth, and like their playstyle although I find them boring. Now, I don't really think there is a problem being disappointed with byleth or any smash character, because I was disappointed and a little hurt. Sakurai doesn't get a free pass from criticism because he puts a lot of work into his product, because I could very well say that about any game developer. I think it's ok to voice your disappointment about something, but in a respectful way. And I also think people shouldn't be too afraid to say they were disappointed in something sakurai made, because again he isn't a god, and still makes mistakes (though byleth isn't a mistake (kinda)). So again, I feel we should be open to criticize him more, because critiquing can help improve a product, it just has to be respectful.

Intelligent Systems had an idea for Fate to have three stories to appeal to everyone, but they realized that they didn't have enough writers. So they hired an outside writer, Shin Kibayashi was that writer. Intelligent Systems wanted Shin to write the outline for each pathway, what happened instead is that Shin wrote 500 pages for each pathway. Intelligent Systems knew this was too long so they cut the story into pieces without the writers permission and the fact the Nintendo demanded Fates come on the Fire Emblem Anniversary only made things worse. Which resulted in this hilariously mess of a story. The good news this that there is a manga based on Fates that is a little better. Its called Fire Emblem If: the Crown of Niberlung.

Hey in elementary I read this book called the Magician's Nephew that was a prequel to the Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Apparently the woman who would become the White Witch had spoken a forbidden word that brought her world to ruin. As in she is literally the only survivor of it. Everything and Everyone else was dead and crumbling.
As a Kirby main, he is incredibly disappointing. But not due to the whole "11/21 moves are just generic kicks" thing, but due to the fact that he just isn't treated right. I honestly think it was a good idea to not make his entire moveset just copy abilities. He's meant to be a basic, simple character.
Instead, Sakurai has been neglecting his boy... He was a king in 64, but then in Melee, he flopped... sometimes literally. He has been progressively getting better since Brawl, but I just can't believe how Sakurai just ditched his own son as hard as he did. Let alone the WHOLE FRANCHISE. There are other games in the series other than just Dream Land, Adventure, and Super Star!

It also feels like over half of the games have no representation in Smash while the Sakurai-made games get all of the spotlight.
And people really have the *gall* to say that Sakurai has bias towards Kirby in Smash? Well I say no, it's quite the opposite. Kirby's moveset is very uninspired, there's little to no representation of the games after Super Star, and there's only 3 reps in the series despite MANY of its characters being good picks, including of course, Bandana Waddle Dee. Sakurai has NO BIAS WHATSOEVER to Kirby. The only series he has a bias towards are Mario, Pokémon, and of course Fire Emblem.
If that were the case, we'd actually have a lot of kirby representation, but we don't. Cause Sakurai is an asshole
I think I might have an idea of why. Remember, Kirby was part of the original 12 on N64 where there wasn’t as much to go off of. Just compare some of the veterans to newer characters. I’m not saying it isn’t disappointing, but that might be why.

The timing of Virtual Console’s death really hits me on a personal level. My childhood consisted of the GameCube and GBA with a few seasonings of N64 sprinkled in.

You get a speed up feature, good online via netplay, mods, support for PS and Xbox controllers, and a lot other features you don't get with Nintendo rereleases. Not to mention it being for the grand prize of free, as opposed to having to pay Nintendo for the privilege of playing a ROM they likely got from the internet.
In the case of TF2, the situation only continues to get worse and worse. Casual is legitimately unplayable, being filled with constant bots that jump back into games after being kicked out. The only way to play it now is through community and MvM, but a game of this magnitude should NEVER be in this state of utter disownment by its parent company.
They just fixed the bot problem!

I think you have bias against VR due to the valve ptsd. It’s not a fad, it has actual potential, it can’t reach it at the moment however due to hardware limitations. Games like Boneworks, Saints and Sinners, H3VR, and the upcoming Half Life: Alyx show that it can easily work. I highly doubt it’s just some temporary distraction. Also don’t blame vr for valve’s failure to make games, blame steam.
I'm with you on that. I have seen so many let's players play VR games and they are having a blast. And I want to try them. The games you listed and Beat Saber. Hell i remember i tried a game at a convention I was volunteering at. Microsoft was testing a new VR headset and I got to try it. I played a simple Arcade-style shooter and was having fun. Then I noticed time slowed. I looked over and I could matrix dodge the blasts. Right there I was sold on VR.
If VR can become a successful platform, it could possibly drive the market to lower the price to meet the demands. Honestly it feels like his hate is because he can't afford one.
'Cause putting so much of the blame on the Steam's "priorities" segment is kind of unfair when Sony does it as well. The main thing is with Steam is they are focusing more as a store/gaming platform and not games as a whole. And even then that's not a fault on VR to deserve that big of a rant

Kirby's been my Smash main ever since Melee because I like the gameplay. I don't give a fuck about how little it resembles the source material, I just have fun playing as Kirby.
Yeah, I'm not even a main but I feel the Kirby segment was kind of over blown. Hell what about Mario and Luigi? Out of all its power-ups all we have is the Fire Flower, Cape, and Polturgust. But does that make their gameplay less fun? Hell no they are still fun as all hell.

I agree that there's nothing wrong with a character having some rather basic straightforward attacks that don't reference something but still feel like something they would do(like how the mario bro's punches and kicks have a similar feel to mario's punch and kick animations in mario 64. heck, a large portion of kirby's normals either are direct references to moves from the fighter ability, references to other material(his nair references a pose kirby used to be commonly drawn in) anyway)
16:30 They were canceled because Inafune, the one guy who was helming these projects and directing them, left the company. Not because of work conditions or lack of pay, in fact Capcom did everything they could to keep him around like giving him a higher place in the company and following every crap idea he had for appealing to the west leading to the blandest games and robot arm wife. Only for him to leave the company believing that the gaming industry in Japan was doomed (Probably because the shit games he was having the company make weren't selling because that wasn't what people wanted) leaving Capcom with a lot of damage to clean up. He is officially *that guy* in the group project, except he goes out the way to blame the reason his work wasn't done on the rest of the team.
One of my biggest personal gaming disappointments was "Spore". I LOVED the idea of making your own alien species and turning them into a civilization. And yeah, making the aliens was fun. Everything else...eh... Heck, even the Space Stage, which most people laude as the best stage of the game, didn't really interest me (though that's more on my end than the game itself, I must admit). Heck, with making aliens, unless you use mods, you can only customize them so much. I can understand way, as to make sure the game still runs smoothly, but it's still disappointing nevertheless. I still remember the good times I had with "Spore", but not without also recalling a feeling of disappointment.

thing is while I did grow up with both Banjo-Kazooie & Banjo-Tooie....I still like Nuts & Bolts to this day and personally find it to be a criminally over hated game, sure it's not like the games before BUT I do like when a company is willing to try something new (provided they don't fuck it up which is something many companies are guilty of doing...lookin' at you SEGA).
Frankly the "build your own vehicle" mechanic I do legitimately enjoy and it is pretty fun and honestly I think many people should give this game a 2nd chance
I don't think it's just the vehicle part that disturbs people. While yeah, it is a huge fuckin' disappointment that "Banjo-Threeie" turned out to be "LEGO Cars", it's also the fact that "Nuts and Bolts" spat on and desicrated the legacy of its predecessors- Banjo and Kazooie are fat now, " HeY, lOoK aT aLl ThEsE pOiNtLeSs ItEmS" and the fact that there's no respect towards the previous formula. Combined with the lying trailer that was released prior- promising a faithful remaster at the very fucking least- it was just a punch in the face for loyal fans.
TL;DR: The concept was alright at best, but its execution was rude, double-crossing, and a straight-up lie.
Perhaps if it was released alongside or after a true "Banjo 3", it would've done better. But as the only modern leg to stand on- besides B&K in Smash Ultimate- it's just...

@@MofB95 Rare's original plan was a computer controlled Grunty Ai to compete with banjo in a head to head completion, but Rare had to scrap the game because they can't get the Grunty Ai to work well. So Banjo Threeie was canceled and Nuts and bolts was made instead.

Hey Logan, your Kalos dreams may have just come true.
While I don't agree with the #2 placement personally, I understand those feelings. Nuts & Bolts was a pretty grand idea for a game that I personally think works, but the problem is that it is a massive departure from the gameplay of the previous Banjo-Kazooie games which is what kills it for many people. If Nuts & Bolts was an entirely new IP from Rare, it might have worked out better in the long run. The game's self-deprecating humor really didn't help either cuz while it did get some funny jokes and lines out of it, it still was shitting on what made the first two games successful in the first place.

OMG this is the best video Fawful's made in years!!! Not to say things like the Blest or Messed or the Halloween countdown were bad, but this is such an incredibly unique and brutally honest video that it deserves 5 or more rewatches. Every entry has a different dimension of disappointment in it from the downfall of large gaming companies to bloody Smash Bros move sets!

Yeah, musically it's nice, but it's still lacking. I also second BlueKirby64's critique, and remixes of planet Rock Star or Miracle Matter from K64, Spinning Jungle or Reflected Laughter from Triple Deluxe, and a plethora of tracks from Planet Robobot other than your typical final boss themes all feel neglected. Still, there is a series that got it worse. Another series known for a hero going spherical to stop their foes. And another series that was on the list. Do me a favor and check the character roster, map choices, and music selection for Sonic the hedgehog. One character, two maps, and only one remix, along with some of the most overused tracks throughout the series. If any franchise got shafted upon entering smash, it was the blue blur. (Heck, only the spindash and homing attack really stay faithful to the source with his moveset as well, not counting the final smash).

THANK YOU! I know in Smash 64, it was a more simpler time and Sakurai wants to keep true to how the characters played in there first appearance in a Smash game but I think it is about time Kirby gets an update in Smash. I can say the same with Ganondorf but at least they were improving with that.
i def understand Sticker Star being on the list but Color Splash is legitimately great, the formula was really improved, the completionist aspect of trying to cover all the necessary things with paint is fun, and the writing is really funny

I honestly do question what goes on in the mind of several developers when it comes to some of these stupid ideas.
To be fair, it's not always the developers' fault when shit hits the fan; you have to remember, it's still a job, so if something comes down from corporate (or, in this case, the publishers) that they're told they HAVE to do, they don't really have much of a choice in the matter: they either get sacked and lose their income, or they comply knowing full-well what they're doing won't be liked by the masses. Funny thing, though...sometimes hidden deep in the games' code, there'll be open letters from the devs to the publishers about the awful experience they've had working for their company or for them, and there are some HILARIOUSLY angry rants (Larry Bundy Jr. covered a few of 'em on his channel); I think the funniest one in recent memory is Metal Gear Survive where the devs hid a secret code in the opening credits basically saying "FUCKONAMI! KOJIMA FOREVER!" I don't remember exactly what it was, but yeah...all told, it's not fair to lay all the blame at the feet of the developers, just as it is not fair to lay all the blame of a bad movie or show at the feet of the writers.

It's "neat", to be sure. But I feel the buzz is mostly on the heels of it being ANY piece of software for one of their big franchises. But honestly, unless it gets a non-VR release...it basically doesn't exist to me. I do not like playing in VR.

So Banjo Threeie was canceled and Nuts and bolts was made instead. Why did Nuts and Bolts made fun of Collect-a -Thons? Lets just say Donkey Kong 64 caused alot of people to hate collecting.

honestly it hurts to see how little valve actually gives a fuck. my main point being about tf2, i know there are other games valve has been mistreating but i think honestly tf2 tops the list. as of now the bot crisis is at it's worst. bots and cheaters now have anti votekick. meaning when a single bot joins, it's over. there's nothing you could do to kick them off, because when one joins, several will follow. it really sucks to look at valve only to see no effort to fix this issue, if the bot crisis were to be fixed i honestly think tf2 could go back to almost it's prime, while yes there are other problems valve isn't fixing with tf2 for example, we haven't had a major update in over 4 years, but i feel that fixing the bot crisis would bring a lot of tf2 players back. sorry to go on that rant there but i felt like it needed to be said again.

I always feel bad for Zygarde. Unlike every other third legendary to the mascots of gens 3-8 was given something to do that had something resembling story relevance, even Eternatus who was only in one (two) game(s), Zygarde was never given anything to stretch his feelers to make himself important to the story and lore. Even in Gen 7, him becoming 100% was still only a footnote.
I can understand why you’re upset with Valve, they haven’t really paid much attention at all to their top tier franchises like Portal, Team Fortress, and Half-Life: the elephant in the room here.
And I understand why you’re upset about Half-Life Alyx, but I am extremely hype for the game, and it actually got me to play the first Half-Life game, and I loved it, now one of my favorite FPS games.
But I can totally get why you aren’t really obsessed over the new Half Life, it’s VR exclusive, and the gateway to VR is really expensive, $400 at the minimum on PC. And to spend that much money for one game isn’t really... worth it. My hope is that they can make Half-Life 3 due to Alyx’s success being the best selling VR game on Steam right now, before it’s even released.
And while I am insanely hyped to play Half Life Alyx, I don’t think VR should become the new standard for gaming.
I love VR, but I think it should be an alternative to gaming as opposed to it being the new standard.
I want to see VR getting more support, like maybe have a Portal VR game at one point, I think that’d be awesome, but I also want them to make standard games, without VR being a necessity.

I think I was more excited about that than anything else before Ultimate released. I basically went: "Ridley and K.Rool are in Smash? That's nice, BUT DID YOU KNOW GANONDORF FINALLY USES A FUCKING SWORD!?"
I'm definitely underselling my hype for the newcomers, but it's still mostly true.
Honestly my complaints with kirby are not due to the ammount of basic moves he has(i actually think the kick stuff for most of his normals fits though i was bugged by the badass burning dash attack getting replaced by the underwhelming looking yoyo spin until ultimate brought it back better than ever) but just in regard to how he's been screwed over as a character in general in every game after 64. Wario having almost zero warioland references in his moveset(as far as official smash goes. in project m he has an excellent balance of wario land and warioware) will forever bug me though. Sonic being a one trick pony who revolves entirely around hitting with one of his like 5 moves that look almost exactly the same and then running away is probably the single worst example though. a clearly rushed moveset that should have been completely revamped after brawl but didn't.
@@Pyrobaconstudios Sakurai wanted Sonic animations to be like the classic games rather than the modern ones.
As for Wario, I don't know are you sure Wario is balanced in Project M?? Sakurai has a need to reduce characters for balance reasons.

Sakurai pours his heart and soul into this franchise and after lots of characters that he added for the fans (Banjo, Joker, Hero), he adds just one for himself and everybody explodes at him. First, the notion that one person decides all things related to a game is stupid, Nintendo probably pushed him to add it because of the 3 houses DLC. Second, sure, it's another FE character, but does it really matter as long as the moveset is unique, which it is? Finally, the smash community needs to be more grateful, Sakurai has said that him working on this franchise has caused him physical pain and stress, and without him, the game wouldn't exist at all. Is screaming at the creator of one of your favorite games that he's retarded for adding a character for himself when the last 5 have been for the fans any way to show gratitude?
@@benjaminmarson4622 Before I answer this, I will say that overtime I started to grow on byleth, and like their playstyle although I find them boring.
Now, I don't really think there is a problem being disappointed with byleth or any smash character, because I was disappointed and a little hurt. Sakurai doesn't get a free pass from criticism because he puts a lot of work into his product, because I could very well say that about any game developer. I think it's ok to voice your disappointment about something, but in a respectful way. And I also think people shouldn't be too afraid to say they were disappointed in something sakurai made, because again he isn't a god, and still makes mistakes (though byleth isn't a mistake (kinda)). So again, I feel we should be open to criticize him more, because critiquing can help improve a product, it just has to be respectful.

@@openinginawe5518 The Reason for Fate's sloppy story, is because the writers where trying to achieve too much with not enough time. Intelligent Systems had an idea for Fate to have three stories to appeal to everyone, but they realized that they didn't have enough writers. So they hired an outside writer, Shin Kibayashi was that writer. Intelligent Systems wanted Shin to write the outline for each pathway, what happened instead is that Shin wrote 500 pages for each pathway. Intelligent Systems knew this was too long so they cut the story into pieces without the writers permission and the fact the Nintendo demanded Fates come on the Fire Emblem Anniversary only made things worse. Which resulted in this hilariously mess of a story. The good news this that there is a manga based on Fates that is a little better. Its called Fire Emblem If: the Crown of Niberlung.
