Great video! One of the most important tips I can offer for optimum photos is to make sure your lenses are clean. Since it's an iPhone, more times than not, there are greasy fingerprints on the lenses just from daily handling. I've made it a habit to wipe off the lenses before taking any picture.
I’ve just bought my first iPhone (ever) and went with a 16 Pro, coming from my old Pixel 6. Insane upgrade in camera quality already so I’m looking forward to learning from this and any other tips I can find! Great video as always 👏
2:09 Thank you for all your videos, I want just to let you know that it’s a bit difficult to see the options in your phone maybe because of the Light mode, I think with the Dark mode will be much better.
I wanted to mention that I've purchased two of your presets in the past, and now I'm seriously thinking about buying your course. Your photography and videography skills are consistently impressive. Thank you for everything. 🙏🏾
In that case I think you should just go ahead and use HEIC format for all of them, especially if you take plenty of pictures. I keep mine with Live Photos on all the time and just when I think to myself “I might want to edit this later” do I click on the ProRaw button. If you don’t edit them but do post them anywhere online as-is, HEIC is also better since the ProRaw won’t look the same on the platform you use as on the iPhone, since in the photos app it sort of interprets it with its own color profile. Now if you take very little pics and seldom share them, maybe you want to future proof yourself with ProRaw if editing them is somewhere in your near future. If not, save the space and use HEIC. Just my two cents.
Awesome video! I’m curious what you do with the photo after you are happy with the edits in Lightroom. Do you save the edited version back to Apple photos? If so, what do you do with the original unedited photo?
Appreciate this video. I just bought the iPhone 16 Pro and wasn't happy with taking photos 'out the box'. You definitely need to adjust the settings from the default. I thought I wouldn't understand a lot of the terms, but your approach is very user friendly. Many thanks.
Nice video ! But I have one question , if we just need to edit exposure , shadows and temperature like you showed us , can we just edit it in the stock photo app ? or we still need the lightroom because of different processing ?
This helped with my new phone settings. I took amazing videos over the weekend with my 16 pro max at 4k at 60 fps. I uploaded to youtube and the quality was lost. Is this too high? On the YT app it states 4k after uploading, but when viewed it was disappointing. I ended up deleting the video and came to YT for some tips/tricks.
Are the presets you showed in the video all from the iPhone PRORAW presets 02 in your store? Also, are there instructions on how to import the presets into the app! Beginner here looking to learn as I go 🙌🏽
What made you choose ProRAW Max over HEIF Max? As a pro videographer I understand the desire to have a RAW image to manipulate, but on an iPhone where you are taking lots of day to day photos is it not inconvenient knowing you HAVE to edit the ProRAW photos before they look 'normal'?
@@midnitelux an 11 Pro just now but getting the 16 Pro in a couple weeks. I thought that ProRAW photos looked super flat (like LOG video footage) when they first appear in the camera roll prior to editing, is that right?
Will I need a photo editor to make pictures look good or will the camera take care of this on it’s own? I’m not very photography versed so camera’s aren’t my forte
i changed my iphone se (2020) to 16 pro and did all the settings you said. However, when i shoot or take a selfie it changes and i think make some auto effects. @@Oliur Thanks for the answer! I plan to buy your iPhone creator course, but I don’t wanna have a subscription to be able to use your presets and edit those ProRaw photos.
My Iphone 16 selfie picture looks so grainy after taking the pic. The camera itself looks nice but once its taken it looks so grainy n darker. Do you have any solution for that? Ive watch a lot of videos nothing helps 😭😭
Because you're taking so many pics in 48mp raw and 4k vid... would you recommend 256gb or 512gb for the pro 16 option? Assuming you'll have the phone for 2-4 years
@@uTAPOUT1 no, they use the 48mp sensor, but it literally crops the image before you take it rather than doing it manually afterwards. I personally prefer to use this as you are removing the distractions that you would be cropping out anyway.

This guy has mastered his personal brand. Photos look phenomenal too, just what I was looking for, I stuck with my 15PM this year.

I swear by this. It’s paramount that you do that in order to get great shots alongside using the environment and lighting properly
Exactly! This is the first absolute rule to a good picture. No setting will rescue a picture taken with a greasy lens (I think).
How to clean lenses best?
Since buying the 16 Pro Max, I’ve been waiting for an updated version of this video from Oliur. And he delivered!

I hope someday you can also show how can we receive the perfect outcomes from the non-flagship models, e.g. 13 mini.

Hi great video! Did you end up choosing the Pro or the Pro Max?! 😅
great video. what is the reason for sticking with 1x vs. 0.5x which always keeps you at 48mp?

Will the vivid filter be added. It was great to have this for a standard user. Without this, the iPhone 16 seems to be a downgrade.

Do you shoot 4:3 for photos?
can you do a video about your recording set up? Or showcase what you have done for video on an iphone? You're editing process, etc.
Is there a big difference in quality between JPEG Lossless and JPEG-XL Lossy?
No, it’s just the size of the image will be less

What’s your approach to the zoomed shots? Or appear to be zoomed? Just crop the 1x from 48mp
Wow this was a great help. My settings were all off
thank you sir for the info 👍🏼
Dope settings I recommend
It’s not really 48 megapixels. I would keep the proraw at 12 megapixels for better overall performance including low light.

whats the difference between editing on the iphone camara and adobe lightroom?
More adjustments, presets
