I recommend movie Seventh Son (2014) with Jeff Bridges
as an example how CGI can and must serve the story
and not the other way around,
What we have in modern movies is that
story is a slave of CGI
which is capable only in creating
a hollow cold dead SHINY surface without any substance.
Story is the Boss, CGI is a helper.
In real movies.
And that's how it goes. Story first.
A good solid script.

That was the moment i figured out that something is off within industry.
