Some serious amounts of tax dollars are going towards some of these innovations. The robotic dogs are dumb. It reminds me a lot of NASA spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to figure out how to make a pen that can work in zero gravity, while the Soviets used a pencil.
Just FYI, the space pen thing is an urban legend. The pen was developed by and at the full expense of a private company simply as a gift for NASA. NASA did and still does use pencils in space.
@@onieyoh9478 oh really. Did not know that. Will have to look that up. But it is understanding how it became an urban legend. We have all seen engineers take paths like that, and that's what some of these inventions seem like to me.
