Cable car is old school, I have an old copper mine near my house, who used that in the 1900’s

(Bloomberg) -- Stocks that soared recently in South Korea on researchers’ claim of a breakthrough in superconductor technology tanked Friday as experts sought proof while the local exchange escalated its warning on the trading frenzy.
Mobiis Co. tumbled by a daily record of 30% while Duksung Co. slid 17% as Korea Exchange escalated its warning level on the “abnormal surge” in the two stocks. The bourse suspended trading in Sunam Co. for one day after it surged nearly 280% over the previous eight sessions.
The gains were driven by reports last month from Korean researchers saying they created the world’s first superconductor able to conduct electricity at room temperature and ambient pressure, utilizing a material called LK-99. While such technology could revolutionize industries from computing to power, the scientific community raised questions immediately.
The Korean Society of Superconductivity and Cryogenics said Wednesday that it has convened a panel to verify the findings and asked the Quantum Energy Research Centre, which contributed to the initial research, to submit samples. The “unverified claims” are “causing a great controversy,” the academic group said.
Korea Exchange, meanwhile, said investors should be warned before investing in Duksung and Mobiis, the second-highest level of its alert system before a potential trading suspension. The bourse hands down such designations when it sees a probability of speculative bets and unfair trades.
Among other moves, Shinsung Delta Tech Co. plunged by a record 27% in Seoul on Friday. In US trading, American Superconductor Corp. has dropped 40% in the past two sessions following a five-day, 129% climb.

Any military tech using AI without the three rules of robotics should frighten everyone. Further, the durability of some of these wonderbot inventions are not proven…put it in the hands of a bunch of enlisted Marines, Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen and turn them loose on it to see if they can break it….which they will eventually!
It looks remarkably like a piece of military tech called the Gamma Goat from back in the 80s. it was supposed to replace the Jeep but it had a shit ton of maintenance issues and was easy to "kill"... This thing won't last long either.
NASA did not develop airless tires for Mars rovers. Airless tires were first developed for rolling vehicles on the Moon.

@@Wombat-blue why, there are already several like this. Like the creative outlier (iirc) ran up to 14h (13h more realistically) and the edifier TWS1 i use right now do 11h by spec but realistically 10h and they've been out for 2years i think. Mine are bought juni '22 and they're doing fine still
I really don't see what advantages those hubless wheels have over traditional wheels. The wheel has to be held onto the frame by its outer and inner edge, so any kind of debris (like mud) that gets inside that relatively small contact point will pose a huge problem.
How do these companies get funded for R & D?

The Magenn wind generator fails on its face due to the requirement to use precious helium. Despite being one of the most common elements in the overall makeup of the universe, on earth it is rather rare and in limited supply, and is desperately needed by the scientific and medical communities, where - among other important roles - it powers diagnostic equipment like MRI machines.
Of all the resources we need/use today, only helium actually physically *leaves the planet* once it escapes containment, never to return. It cannot be re-captured, and recycled only so long as you can keep it contained, and there is no way those huge windbags don't leak like a sieve in comparison to scientific instruments that use far less and take great care to conserve.

The Magenn MARS airborne spinning balloon for wind energy was given up on over a decade ago. The design took the least efficient type of wind turbine, and made it many times more expensive. Millions of dollars for an output suitable for a backyard turbine at best. Not worth the trouble to inflate and launch, let alone pay for. Would have been destroyed by any decent wind. Turned out it was "a white elephant". That was so many years ago! Long disproven. Nothing new. These videos are nothing but clickbait. Seems like they all have the same narrator.
