Hi Mike, The 2 Arizona rocks don't have specific names. The little pair is most likely a jasper. The other piece is a banded Rhyolite. Rocks typically don't get named unless there's a rather large quantity of it that's all the same. Prospectors need tonnage to market a new rock. So I guess you could call one of them "Mikeite".....OK..maybe not. You might email Ruth in Wyoming - maybe she knows about the Wyoming rock. As to the extent of my rock knowledge - if you get it at a rock shop - I can probably ID it. If you pick it up in the middle of nowhere - probably not :). Thumbs up! Talk soon! Jim
Thanks for the help, especially the ID on the agate. I like Mikeite for the plumy jasper. Gotta go back and see if I can find a bunch more of it to make it official. It's pretty, whatever it is. I'm tumbling some small slabs of it. We'll see how it comes out.
Strange question, but at 6:29, is that a number "5" on the rough face of the rock? I don't know if it's just the way the lighting was or if I'm just seeing things. That is a beautiful agate though!
3rd rock is crazy lace from Mexico. I have some from the same area that looks virtually identical. The last rock looks similar to whats called kaleidoscope jasper IMO~ No ideas on 1 and 2. Thx for sharing!

That might be how much I paid for it. I don't remember exactly what it cost.

The second rock seems like it could be a fossilized wood burl
