Look at the Chem-trails in the sky.

I have been building my new dream rock tumbler for 3 months now. I started with 2 8mm rods and a motor then bought 2 12mm rods and another moter then bought 2 more rods for my tumble bee and then made 2 drums out of ABS now I need more drums it keep going on and on but I have run out of room on my piece of plywood.

At no point did I see you add ceramic media or plastic pellets as the volume of rock diminished. It looked like your barrel was only about half full (or less) after Stage 3. Stage 3 and 4 are where you get bruising on rocks if not enough in the barrel. Plus, one reason most of the stones weren't polished is the lack of small ceramics and/or pellets, that serve to buff the polish onto the rock surfaces (and, some of the stones were granite). What's your thoughts on this?

U are a ghetto back yard genius my friend!!!! I got similar setups. An currently getting the flat lap put together. Only real hold up is I'm making my own disc's, got some dimond powder an plenty of carbide grits to make 120-1200

Interesting work! For some possible other ideas, you should check out the tumbler cabinet Rob from Michigan Rocks built for his tumbling capacity. He gets increased capacity by going up vs. going long.

Can't wait to see how the (first) final iteration turns out. More capacity means more videos which means more "I can't wait until I get good enough for mine turn out that nice" envy! Looking forward to seeing your next video!!

Do you think you may have an issue with the drive roller being elevated? Also, the drive shaft will be pulling I’ve on one side and pushing away on the other side? Just trying to visualize it, definitely not knocking it. 😊

Michigan Rocks hasa pretty fancy cabinet set up. I am up to 3 dual 3 pound barrel's. But seems most stay in rough longer. I use coffee cans with water to put rocks ready to move on into till I get enough to fill a barrel.

Not a puddingstone. Puddingstones have a white or yellowish matrix with red jasper. It could be a conglomerate, but the brief look, it almost looks like fossils...i have a few rocks with crynoid stem segments all through it, that looks like that.

Interesting video. Love looking at all of the different rocks to be found. Slower camera movements would help a lot. Keep up the hounding.

Great history around Picket Post....Indigenous peoples mined near by, conquistadors in the 1600s. Up to moder day. Found amethyst outcrops to obsidian, native copper to crazy unknowns. Depending on the time of year, more rattlesnakes per acre than anywhere ive seen. There was camp picket post to help keep miners safe from Apache raids.

If it was bent then it will never be fully straight again. What is happening there is the as with a knife and a wetstone, the metal grinds against the stone and some gets shaved off where it isnt fully straight.

As someone that cuts very hard old brick and concrete with demo saws all the time my 2 cents would be heat and speed. I’ve noticed with harder stone and or concrete brick and a mix of heat and speed metal is transferred. Even with water yes. Is that what happened here idk but it’s happened to me over the 20 years I’ve been doing it. Also I’ve tried countless different blades all have different outcome and different performance based on heat and speed

I've bought some opal, emerald, and ruby/sapphires that were genuine off ebay. Just depends on the seller.

I havent tried ebay yet. Bought some on Amazon and some from private sellers.
