    I noticed that Noreena jasper also gives a satin finish. I rather like the satin finish.

    Whats the market price for jasper ? I have some of it. Collected them as a kid here in the Faroe Islands

    • @DanielMillerlife
      @DanielMillerlife  3 года назад +1

      It can be $2 per pound to up to $100 or more a pound. It all de[ends on the rarity, quality, color, what area it came from. Best thing is to check out other sellers of the same product. If you can go to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show you can see what they sell things for. Good question. Thank you for watching. Keep on Rocking.

    i used to live on the Eel River in northern California, we had boulders of jasper the size of cars. most was red but also some poppy. one day i resolved to get one home the boulder i selected was about 150-175 lbs. i still have it sitting on the porch. great conversation piece. any idea what uncut price per pound is? its very bright red.

    Thanks for the info! I've been learning how to cut and polish Crowley Ridge agate Cabochons and would love to do some nice jasper. Wheres a trust worthy place online I can buy some jasper?

      Do some research on the different types of Jasper, Look for prices, hardness, quality and then decide what you want to buy. One Major seller is Kingsley North. But there are others out there .. check with Gem and mineral clubs.

    I have a stone that I think is precious, how do I know??

    • @DanielMillerlife
      @DanielMillerlife  3 года назад

      All rocks can be precious. If you know where it came from then you can get some books or look online at photos then read the make up of the rock. Learning as you go. Otherwise take to a rock show with information as to where it came from. Thank you for watching. Keep on Rocking.

    What sort is best for beginners

    • @DanielMillerlife
      @DanielMillerlife  3 года назад

      jasper, agate, rhyolite the important thing is not the stone. You need to look at each stage of cutting and polishing to make sure you have completed each one as perfect as you can before going to the next stage in the polishing. If not, you will find yourself starting back several steps to get rid of scratches. Good question. Keep on Rocking Thank you for watching and commenting.
