If the reason is from the blowby then the oil consistency will be the same everywhere in the engine, obviously due to oil circulation. Since the oil is okay, but the pcv is stuck, it suggests that the reason is stuck open pcv valve and the vapor comes from the intake with the air. Any vapor that gets in the cylinder will come out with the exhaust. However some vapor will enter the crankcase via the stuck open pcv valve. The vapor will mix with some oil/blowby and when the engine start to cool it will condence on the bottom side of valve cover and the oil cap, the top areas that cool first. This is my explanation, and Allah knows best. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I'm happy I've subscribed before.❤
You're a smart dude 😎 That solved my answer pretty good Not that long ago I was straddling my engine over on top of it I cracked my PCV valve put a janky connection back on to hopefully resolve my issue ...
PCV valve isn’t a maintenance item for GM but it is for me. I change mine every 30,000 miles (or 6th oil change). The valve is $9.00, cheap insurance as a new engine is $4,000.00 and up.
I have a 2015 chevy cruze LS with the 1.8 liter engine. The oil was once milky white but not the dip stick. I tried a block tester kit from Harbor frieghts, and the results i got is more than sure a blown head gasket. Just want your opinion
So what was it bro? I have the 2016 gen 1 1.4l cruze and have the same issue after a front end collision hit mainly my cooling system. She was running hot AF for a few days atleast tbh before I could get the replacement parts so even sketchier but I really gotta know it could help me and my cruze alot
I pulled the valve covers on my l37 3800. It had alot of milk under the valve covers but no where else in the engine. Thermostat was not letting engine heat up enough. I'm also doing the PCV. Hope this fixes it.
Moisture buildup in the oil. It can also be caused by short journeys where the engine oil doesn't have enough time to evaporate the moisture buildup within the oil.
My V6 3.5L Toyota with just 20K miles on it is FULL of oil mixed with something. I mean the "oil" is filled so much it's filling up the valve area as I understand it. The coolant isn't low. I don't believe condensation can't form a gallon or two of water in your oil and I don't know what it is or where it's coming from. I just had the oil changed 500 miles ago at the dealer. I'll find out what it is when I get it towed to the dealer in a few days. It was running smoothly as silk the same day I discovered this problem. I obviously don't want to even start the engine like this again. I'm already afraid there is cylinder wall damage... But no signs of it as far as burning oil out the tailpipes.
@@rodv.4726 I forget the details but yea, they did me right. It's still as smooth and peppy as ever. I keep the oil changed every 6months or 5k miles, whichever occurs first. Those 8-speed transmissions are a little slow downshifting, but it's consistent so I think it's normal and something I've gotten used to.
Cause you see I don’t see any signs of a blow head gasket in my oil cap, dipstick i just see that weird looking coolant cap and the slight white-ish stuff does feel a bit oily when you rib it on your hands. What could cause that?
Mate you have best explained channel. Are you in Australia? I need someone to figure out what’s up with my Pajero. It misfire when restart only from cylinder 6, sometimes I get code for cylinder 6 misfire and many times no codes. I have a little bubble in radiator and rust even after flush, heater wasn’t working and now half working. We switched around coils and injectors and same code came back. What do I do all mechanics seem can’t be bothered to figure it out

im wondering if on a little tk barina this could be a problem. oil, water and temps seem fine (cap apparently was a little milky), But the exaust manifold it gets smokey hot (starting from where top of catylic bolts on which they swapped out) i Thought it may have something to do with clogged exhaust back pressure (so removed 2 sensor (pre/post cat )Thought it worked, but then put them back in and it didn't smoke while i was testing it. . . but apparently she smoke up again 🤔
I've got the same issue, i have a 1996 Honda CB1000 with only 5000 miles on the clock, i start it 2 or 3 times a year, went to give it an oil change, only to take the oil filler cap off & noticed milky residue round the cap, so tested the head gasket all was ok, no leaks anywhere, dropped the oil & the oil filter the oil was black not milky, Could it be the oil filler cap was not seated right & was drawing in moisture
Last week, My car was overheat.. & the radiator was crack damage, then after i replaced it .. then i try to drive long way road.. after 55mins later again the temp was so high.. overheating .. the waterpump i check maybe okay.. because when i refill with the water on the radiator it keep swallow the water goes down.. but theres no leak at all .. and its like a pressure .. then is that normal if black oil but after i touch it with my fingger its black liquid .. oil that mixxing with water ? that comes through my exaust? but my engine & radiator colent is clean so far not mixing at all.. & no smoke at all on my exaust but theres a black oil liquid at the exaust what could be the problem? on mazda 2 hatchback demio 2005
Will that cause excessive white smoke coming out of the exhaust? Oil cap is clean, oil wand is clean but I’m getting a misfire and a lot of white smoke out of the exhaust.
Idk if this is the issue but I let my aunt barrow my 97 integra and she put to much oil in it and it started bogging and a bunch of white smoke out the tailpipe but if not it’s could be a messed up cylinder
then is that normal if black oil but after i touch it with my fingger its black liquid .. oil that comes through my exaust? but my engine & radiator colent is clean so far not mixing at all.. & no smoke at all on my exaust but theres a black oil liquid at the exaust what could be the problem? on mazda 2 hatchback demio 2005
Hey I was wondering the old oil has none of that in it but inside the valve cover you could see it and the cap but when I took out my pvc valve and shook it it it was kind of full of that moisture and water but I shook it and it rattled a little bit itI blew it out cleaned it and cranked up the car and it's got good suction on it and it works now I wonder if that could have been the problem or if it's something else because the PVC valve did rattle
The engine isn’t having enough time to heat up hot. Take it fir a good long ride. You maybe not driving long enough to heat up the engine and burn off the moisture in the engine. You will get a light brown milky hunk inside the oil cap. Moisture builds up and causes this.

Is there an opportunity for the radiator reservoir cap to pop off..? I'm not seeing any discoloration, no lost fluids, and not overheating. I did add recently an oil catch can to my car. My car has an aftermarket supercharger installed which wouldn't allow for the pcv hose to reconnect. So we just added the oil catch can. We tapped it into the air intake and pcv to the can. I am seeing a bit of oil in the can as well. Not a lot, but some. Would this indicate that my pcv is operating?? You thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
Smart guy, not out here to rip people off, keep it up man your helping alot of people
I'd found what looked like Cheese-Whiz in my oil cap. Turned out the gasket on my oil cap was shot and was ducking in moisture. Great work sir.
I just found that as well
Wth I have the same problem

Thank you! I thought my head gasket went bad and it was the pcv valve

If you don’t run an oil catch can and idle your car a lot during the winter you get a lot of blow by under the cap.
A true mechanic 👍👍 thank you for the help

Were you able to fix the problem?
@@rodv.4726 Oh no. Engine was shot. Leaky head gasket. Piston slap. I blew the one piston into a thousand pieces. Replaced it with a series III L32.
Moisture buildup in the oil. It can also be caused by short journeys where the engine oil doesn't have enough time to evaporate the moisture buildup within the oil.
The reason is caused by short journeys when the bottom half gets warm but the head doesn't
Had it on wife’s car. Short trips in cold weather will do it
Genius!
Thorough investigation!
My 350 SBC is doing this but I don’t have a PCV system, I just have breathers and a carburetor

For it me it was it's o-ring was shot.

How about white "milky" dirt in coolant fluid in motorcycle?
Can be old used fluid / water condensation or got any ideas?

Fuel pump or fuel regulator. Misfires because not getting enough gas. Check fuel pressure

I fix the blow head, and head gasket and new oil, and new coolant, but know comes milky comes? Please help me from ethiopia ❤
Very interesting and helpful information.

What about a 2010 dodge journey leaked sludge after light freeze
Do you happen to know if this would make the oil gag go from being in the middle to all the way low whenever i take my foot of the pedal

Will it overheat if that’s wrong
How Often Should You replace your pcv valve
It literally says in the vid lol every 30k

Oil was milky, engine is okay but the Coolant is running empty and I changed the Gasket still happening
