Hawk Frost Why does it matter? I say it sometimes too. It’s not a bad thing if someone uses a word that isn’t common. It’s just how they speak. It’s like saying jumper instead of sweater or lightning bugs instead of fireflies.
@Hawk Frost , some people might want a glass of wine or a brandy or a hot cup of tea or cocoa. The English word, "beverage" covers all of the above, don't you think?

This song is a perfect example of why I love Evynne Hollens!! It is pure, simple, and beautiful. So many of her songs, as well as Peter's, are just as good if not better than the originals and they make me so happy to listen to. This is song comes from my favorite movie so it is very important to me and Evynne did it great justice because it was so calming and made me happy tear. Another song that Evynne and Peter have done that made me so happy I cried is "Grown Up Christmas List" with their adorable little boy. Anyone who hasn't seen that video should, it will make you happy any time of the year.

I feel like I missed a billion songs when my computer broke, and I did miss quite a few, including this one. Aaaargh! But now all is well again, and this song is absolutely smiles and warm-furries inducing! It's impossible to be unhappy when listening to this, and you did a great job making the setting right without overdoing it. AND the CD arrived today too, and it's beyond gotta-have-it! I don't know why people always insist on making declarations about or comparisons to the original whenever someone does a cover. A cover is never going to 'beat' the original and 99/100 times they're not trying to be imitative anyway so it's completely irrelevant. Any decent cover artist is going to put their own spin on the song that makes it entirely different and personalised to them, which Evynne has beautifully done here.
@@michaelheliotis5279 Very true. But in rare instances, a cover version can be as good or even better than the original. One example being I Will Always Love You (originally by Dolly Parton, brilliantly covered by Whitney Houston).

This version has always been my favorite. Sure the movie version is visually lovely, but Elton John's version has touched my soul. I did a karaoke of it at an event for the American Cancer Society, in honor of those who had passed on from cancer, those currently fighting, and all the friends and family who support them through everything.
