It’s rubbish, just let your car idle for 15 seconds before you turn it off, you don’t need that silly thing. I have one that came with my FC Turbo II and it’s a ridiculous gadget, don’t waste your money. JMO
Nice, what year is it? I have a 97 GC8 STI. It was imported from Japan and it had the exact turbo timer in the video, plus a toll collector that speaks Japanese, and an old Kenwood radio.
@@DriversTherapy If the center housing is not straight up and down then the turbo will not drain correctly and oil will just sit inside and coke up leading to hardened deposits. Some people did not realize this and thinking letting the oil flush out those chunks would solve the problem only leads to eventual oil starvation of the turbo.
@@srhabb that makes sense. I knew about the oil on the turbo shaft but I did not know why it would cause an issue unless it was not able to propel drain back to the oil pan via feedback line as you described. Thank you for explaining that and for watching our video.
Your not wrong. The main goal is to allow the oil to cool down after hard use. If you do not on a turbo car, the hot oil can bind to the turbo shaft over time and cause issues.
@@DriversTherapy yea on a strictly race dedicated car, not a street daily driver, no matter how modified. Factory turbocharged vehicles would've came installed with them already just to avoid the warranty issues if this was the case.
Hahah I’m not gonna lie. Best comment. A turbo runner is suppose to help “cool” the turbo’s turbine after a hard or long drive. The theory is that if the turbo is too hot, oil will cook itself on the shaft and overtime it throws the balance causing shaft play and turbo seal failure. I think companies marketing might be overstating the probability but that is the reasoning.
You: "Alexi, turn off my supra."
Alexi: "Нет, товарищ"
lol "Alexi, give me my vodka!" 😂😂😂
I saw this little device in a car I was going to buy. Finally figured out what it was called and why it was there. Makes sense.
:D Glad, you found out what it was. Thanks for watching the video.

Bella!
DK had one on jdm insider so figured I needed one. This makes more sense lol
DK!!! Donkey Kong? 🤪 It helps with cooling if you ran the car hard but most of all it is cool to hear it turn off when you walk away.
Beautiful nice new friends 👍🙏❤️
Thank you, my friend.

Hey, I respect your opinion 100%. I appreciate you watching and sharing your viewpoint. Rotaries rock by the way!!!
@@DriversTherapy - they really do rock! some of the best fun I've ever had behind the wheel.

I just picked up a 93 WRX yesterday and it came with a Razo timer
Can this be ran along with a standalone ecu like aem?
Yes. It connects inline with the ignition harness. Also, some brands offer a plug&plug solution that requires no splicing.
Is that a supra on tsw venoms, 😩
lewis newton I got new wheels! Check out the video 🙂 ruclips.net/video/Z1ufYWR9kUo/видео.html
@@DriversTherapy oh nice 👌
This is for people who don't clock their turbos correctly.
Nice. So how does that work? I thought clocking the turbo was for fitment purposes only?

From what ive read on the forums, this is a waste of time and money on most cars.

Nice car. Pretty woman. The stupidest aftermarket thing I've ever seen on turbo engine.
