I am so glad to have found your section on how to Interrogate the Sketch! Everyone just glosses over that like it’s not a big deal, but even an expert like you took 2 minutes to pin down the problem and fix it. It takes me much much longer. Thanks!

Totally agree. It took me hours and hours of waisted time before this hit home for me.

Great tips, I am learning a lot. When you hit Q in a sketch the view turns to orthographic.. I find this happens sometimes but usualy not. I have right clicked the cube top right of screen and have "perspective with otho faces" selected.
I have seen this same question asked on other videos as it seems a common problem but have not seen a satisfactory reply. Do you have the answer?

I find these tip extremely helpful as sometimes I do not know why something is not working . The fusion 360 tutorials often leave out these tips and are frustrating . Thanks for the tips . I am new to fusion and struggled with the new user interfaces not matching the tutorials. That is the biggest problem they seem to have on regards to getting more help from the users that want to make videos .

But, you didn´t mention something about a shortcut ey to make a new t-spline after you are finished with one. Rightclick and hit "repeat spline" isn´t fast enough, do you have any other tips to fix it?

Hi Tyler. Great videos but I'm having a couple of problems. First, I'm a complete newbie to Fusion 360 so, perhaps you could slow down just a bit and explain how you are getting to some of the commands you are using? Second, sometimes when I hit the Q command, I get the extrude menu rather than the "push/pull" command. What's up with that?

    Nice Video!
❓ Is there a way in Fusion360 to easily make an extrude from two sketch-faces which are rectangular to each other?
I have a furniture and made 2 sketches (one in top-view and one in front-view) with a lot of faces.
It would be really helpful if there is a way to make bodies from where those faces would intersect. (Without the need of extrude both faces very long, make a combine-intersect afterwords and delete the not needed bodies. Because there are a lot of bodies to create this way and this would take too long!)
I hope my idea is clear what and why I want to do that.
    Thank you very much!

I have one question, I have a circle that is for construction and I have an arc on that circle that is not construction. I want to select that arc but it just won't allow me to select it, I'm losing my mind, in solidworks you hit the right click and just "select other" and then just select what you want. I cant seem to find that here.

Hey Tyler, I'm still learning the basics of Fusion360 for my cockpit panel designs (flight simulator cockpit). Can you tell me the main difference between Q and E? I use E a lot for extrusion, however, you seem to be using Q for the most part. Thanks!

    • @TylerBeckofTECHESPRESSO
      @TylerBeckofTECHESPRESSO  7 лет назад +3

Great question. When you have a sketch they are pretty much the same... so go with either one. But, Q allows you to also push pull fillets and faces as well making it my personal favorite.

Yo Tyler I'm a big fan ! My biggest frustration with Fusion is when I need an existing sketch that is used but need that geometry on a new plane...like how do I copy and paste the sketch I guess ???

I made a Wiki Site where I documented every feature you do in the tutorial and hyperlinked it with a timestamp to the location where you do it in the video. Perfect for later referencing. You find the website here: translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fdokuwiki.garage-lab.de%2Ffusion_360_tutorials&sandbox=1 The website also includes a number of other videos to educate the user for performing a complete workflow in Fusion 360.

Gotcha...yeah it's hard to find the sweet spot to make it engaging but not too fast. The speed button in RUclips can be a lifesaver for slowing or speeding up videos.

The first tip is: run away from Autodesk. Autodesk is removing tons of importatnt for us functionalities, starting
    2021 and now the
f****s from Autodesk are removing so many functionalities from F360 for
hobby makers. So many talking, sweet farting and now you are changing
the game forcing to pay. Autodesk, pay me for my files in your cloud you can
review, you pay me for being beta tester for years. USD 500 per year for
accasional use? Go to hell. Autodesk SUCKS!!
