i really love how mila and ashton gave the same answer in regards to loving their child so much, they're clearly so passionate on raising Wyatt and this is just so beautiful
Mila Kunis is the most lovely person in Hollywood. When I watch interview with her I'm 100% sure she's the nicest actress ever. I wish her and Aston a lot of happiness, they're beautiful couple and their baby Wyatt is lucky girl :) I absolutely adore Kutcher's.
i respect the fact that she realizes the incredibly privileged situation she is in, having the ability to hire help instead of just soloing it on her own while her partner works 17 hour days for a tv show. especially when celebs most often opt to hiring help so they can either go to work, whether necessary or not or to simply have time to get hair and makeup done for whatever they need to do for that day. im happy that she knows she has the ability to bond with her baby on their own and she chooses that very maternal route for her and her child. she's always been very down to earth and relatable and i think she'll continue to be a great mom.
***** Googling it, most, if not all have it. But it's different in every country. Some countries in EE have it for up to 3 years. Mine has 12 months (usually 1 month prepartum and 11 postpartum) with 100% pay. We also have paternity leave.
What's so admirable about not getting help to look after your own child? I mean if anything getting helps shows that you have other commitments in life and don't just rely on your spouse for financial support
Laura Ryan I think it's because so many celebrities get nanny's and staff to help as soon as their baby is born. Some celebrity moms are never seen with their kids or use them for publicity. It's so refreshing to see that Mila and Ashton want to raise their daughter on their own. They just seem like a normal couple and so down to earth, unlike most celebrities.
the fact that she is able to stay home and be with her kid. and i dont think in this case youd have to worry about mila relying on ashtons financial support, rich people both of them so
Hello did you not hear her say that she works 17 hr days? Celebrities need nannies to do their jobs and the fact that they're watching the kid them two is different in Hollywood.
Amy Johnson lmao thats not what im ssayinh. yeah so what theyre not working right now the point is ITS UNHEARD OF in hollywood. how many celebrities dont have a nanny
I love how appropriate she's dressed. Maybe it's the example she's setting as a mother or she just does it normally. I love this couple and pray they never part. God bless all of you guys!!!!
I think that united state has wierd rules when it comes to parents and babies..Here in sweden all parents has the legal rights to be home when a baby i born..The mom and the father gets togheter 480 days to split to be home with the child.if the mom wants to be home for 420 days if the father agree and gives his days to mom it avalible. But 60 days are locked on the father and he cant give them away. Just saying! Learn after us united state!
Megin Of Frost that is amazing ! The US is sooo behind , you have a baby 🍼 you have to go back to work , so fast it’s it’s saaad 😓 no bonding no nothing , we are like prisoners . Unless you are one of the few fortunate that are economically stable , the mother can be a stay at home mom , but the dad has No days off 😓
Similar in Canada. The Government pays the parent for up to 18 months when they apply for parental leave and its legally binding for your company to hold your position or similar once you come back from leave. The parental leave can apply to either parent (typically the mom). Of course you need to have completed at least 600 hours of insured work (EI).
She is sooo adorable, and she's right about what she said, no matter what your child does, good or bad, your unconditional love for them will never change. Their is nothing like being a mom.
That's what happen when the standard in Hollywood is to let other's raise your children. In the normal world most parents have time to look after their children.
Because they CAN, but they chose not to. Most people can't afford using a considerable amount on nannies. If most people could get a great nanny for free, i think a lot of people would chose to too.
great, how her answer for the question "were you surprised about something?" was the same as the one of ashton =) "you only know unconditional love when you have a child"
lov ashton n mila they're so down to earth keeping the humble. also loved the interview of course liv ellens humour at the end bout the marriage thing n not being nosy xD
From 1:51... It is so true! This JulyI became a mother for the first time and never expected to have a feeling like that. Okay, do not know if feelings for the own children could change, but now I can say: The love to my daughter is the deepest I can feel (grew up in a family without showing any deep emotions, that's why I always thought I could not love my child/children).
Mila Kunis is beautiful. She is so sweet, humble, and funny :) I like how she is not so stuck up and down to earth. She is not like a lot of famous people. She's so cute :)
they were not married at this time, engaged yes... This was put up February 2015 they got married July 2015...... She probably didn't want the media finding out the date and place so leave them guessing are we already or not...
Wow I wish I could come live there. Where do you live? In most people's mindsets, marriage is equal to social security, financial security, next stage of life blah blah which is everything other than what it actually is (commitment)
pewpewpew It's because they think it's disgraceful to have a child without being married. They feel you didn't plan the baby it just kind of happened and that is irresponsible. And then the child will be raised with parents that do not have that commitment to each other. The guy can just leave. That is what people like that think and not me I am just explaining it. They think that a woman that would get pregnant and the guy doesn't want to marry her after she picked the wrong guy to have a child with their is something wrong with his character.
there are very few celebrities/ppl that are so comfortable in their own skin at such a young age, mila is so mature without losing her joy & her incredible sense of humor & never complains. there are guests in that exact seat that are twice her age & still radiate a ton of nervousness, insecurity, lack of humor, etc. but she's so at ease. she easily shares herself with the world. i hope i'll have a child like her some day, someone who constantly lights up the room with their genuine laugh.
oh shit Ellen asked Mila and Ashton the same question about what the most surprising thing about having a child was and they both answered the same way, the both said that they were surprised how much they could love their child
Good for her. I think a lot of people who are wealthy moms might opt for "Let's hire a nanny to take care of the kid" but I respect her for choosing to say "I've just had this beautiful baby girl....I can take off work now....so I just want to enjoy being Mommy for awhile and bonding with my baby".
I see in the comments some are mad Ellen is praising them for not having a nanny because it's "the norm to stay at home with your kids", and some people are defending Ellen because they realize the work that goes into a celebrity life and a working parents life. I do think we're forgetting that the "norm" is whatever people do with their kids, raising them personally or not. But just because they're rich doesn't mean "oh sure they have money to stay at home and do nothing or just watch a baby". Rich could mean you keep working to maintain your social, and economic status. I've never read of or saw an example of a wealthy nannyless or maidless family no matter how rich, so I don't think it is simply wealth. I think of "publish or perish" or in this case, act or perish, relevance for these people is important. Also, some of us forget that the "norm" for a good portion of us in the United States was being put into a daycare about 5-6hrs a day on average while our parents worked. I don't look down or up to anyone for having a nanny help out, especially if they were wealthy, and first time parents. It's been done for quite a long time. But I do admire them for the reason they don't have a nanny yet. They want to tough it out and get to know their kid really well.
I find it amazing that her first kiss was with Ashton on That 70's show and now she's engaged and has a baby with him :) I think they're a really cute couple
I don't know how Ellen feels when new parents tell her "I didn't know true love until my child was born". Ellen doesn't have kids but I'm sure she knows true love. I have kids so I know what Mila means but I would never say this to a childless person.
Kszabus Ellen has young nieces and nephews and cousins that she spends a lot of time with. I think she has young children that aren't her own that she loves unconditionally.
At first I thought that too. I don't have any plans on having children and that statement always pisses me off. But she later said, it wasn't "greater" or "lesser", just different. So I can respect her for that.
Everyone made a fuss when Ashton said they are not hiring a nanny, so now Mila even took the time to clarify that she understands she is in a privilege position, that she gets many people don't get help but many do ans it's ok either way, and people are still making a fuss? Ok guys.
She's telling the truth about loving your child in such a different way than you do anything else. I think they are an incredible couple and I'm so happy for them lol.
I have so much respect for Mila Kunis. So down to earth, classy, and seems like an amazing mom!

The way she says "yeah" and how she laughs is so cute! And the love she expresses for her child is just great!
It'd be so weird to see Ellen pregnant...
Lmao
Probably because Ellen is a lesbian lol
+Barbara Over The Moon Well, it doesn't change the fact that she can get pregnant, you know.

That's why we have maternity leave in Europe. At least most countries I assume.
Actually only a few countries have that haha

What's so admirable about not getting help to look after your own child? I mean if anything getting helps shows that you have other commitments in life and don't just rely on your spouse for financial support
Just cause soakt people who can, do, without even bringing up their own child.
I took it as they were clapping because she's lucky that she could take care of her child like that.

I dont know why ellen keeps giving ashton and mila props for not hiring nannys, its not the norm. Most people raise their own kids
Most people with regular jobs... they don't have regular jobs where they can just say "oh I won't be filming today" I think that's what they mean.....

She was willing to put her career on hold for her kid. That says a lot about her character.
That's what happen when the standard in Hollywood is to let other's raise your children. In the normal world most parents have time to look after their children.
yes because they actually care about their children
it was nice that she acknowledged that not everyone can do that, its not even about being a celeb many people absolutely do have to go back to work.

God bless you two omg i am so freaking happy that 70s show came to real life !!!! bout time Jackie and kelso!
What's the big deal with marriage in the States? Most people in my country don't get married.
Wow I wish I could come live there. Where do you live? In most people's mindsets, marriage is equal to social security, financial security, next stage of life blah blah which is everything other than what it actually is (commitment)
