    Well done guys! Looks like a good day out. Maybe think about getting an unhooking mat next time out to avoid damaging the fish.

      Also rear back drop arm indicators to stop deep hooking the pike if you get a drop back run where the pike swims towards you chap's just friendly advice boy's 👍

      You can get alarms with a sensitivity control for wind,so when you get a run you know it's a fish and not wind thus not deep hooking the pike lads we all started somewhere boy's love the tent ect very nice lads 👍

    nice 1 lads, glad to see the improvement in the pike gear, drop back indicators etc, couldnt help but notice the cheap swivel link from main line to trace, please dont use them for piking, they are unreliable to say the least, if you get snagged they are the weakest link in your set up, or heaven forbid you get a good double/upper 20, that link wont hold, there are plenty branded quick links on the market, they have like a cork screw effect at the top, you just put your swivel on from your trace and twist it round a few times and it makes its way down to the bottom, fully secure, and easier the undo your trace when you have a fish in the net, leaving the rod out the way and safe on the bank sticks, last not, without sounding like a keyboatd warrior, good unhooking matt, and a large rubberised net is needed, and semi barbed trebles, makes unhooking so much easier and safer, for the fish, and yourselfs, tight lines lads

      Spot on bud I am just getting in to pike fishing for over the winter so feedback is much appreciated.

      @munro stomper, pike is my main fishing bud, almost 30 years at it now, so many people getting into it over the last 10/15 years, its crazy, these other bits of tackle aint expensive bud, pike care is utmost, and should always come 1st, we all had to start somewhere, just like yourself, and learn it all, we didnt have youtube back then really when we started to learn from, i live by a little moto, fail to prepare, prepare to fail, so i take everything i could possibly need when piking, net, matt, weigh sling, long pliers, short pliers, wire cutters, long and short, its better to have it, and not need it, than need it, and not have it😁 anyway bud, get a matt as priority, dont stand up holding the pike, kneel down over the matt, the pike will be safe, you will have great footage for your channel, and not to many posting about fish care and what tackle etc you have or dont have, glad to see the improvements though 👍, ps, did you buy floating or sinking braid? try using a 2oz or 3oz free running pear weight, with the braid, flat sided 1s, they dont roll around the bottom in the current or strong winds, and gives you something to tighten down too, and if its blowing a gale, turn the sensitivity down on the alarm, so they dont bleep as much, its fine on a calm day, but not in windy conditions, just gives you false takes,😂 all the best for the next outing lads🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎣👍

      Is it free fishing, and i noticed your car in the background. Where abouts did you fish on the loch, i didn't know you could get so close to the waters edge with the car.

    You should be able to set the sensitivity on them bite alarms??

    • @munrostomper2325
      @munrostomper2325  Год назад

      Will get a look at them…there is two knobs so that would make sense one for on/off and volume I think and the other one must be to adjust the sensitivity 👌🏻

    Your pop up float should be attached to the head end of rig to prevent wire trace folding under the weight of your bait and risking a pike biting your main line. Those pop up rigs are sold on ebay and are rubbish.

      Who told you that because it's nonsense. Literally made up. Place has more fish in it that it's ever had. Been down about 10 times this year and every pike angler has had multiple. Best I've seen is 8 fish in one day.
