i think you needed to work with the software of the p2 pro before you judged it. the t2 is much more clear. im sure you figured that out and learned how to play around with it more by now. im guessing you have used the other much longer.
i think they will not take your advice because other channels all refer it as the niceiest thermal cam better than the seek and honestly from their videos they had more quality than this one, dont ask me why.
12:30 They could improve the sliders. The result is not what I would expect. In the best case the sliders should act as a contrast setting between hot and cold areas, in which the cold parts become colorless and invisible.
I've been through two seek compact pro cameras and I hired on a tech that also owned one. They ALL wind up failing. App and phone fail to recognize camera when connected. Camera freezes up if it DOES connect. SEEK IS GARBAGE. When I bought my first one I only did so because they claimed it worked with the iPhone 5. It did not. That got me trapped owning iPhones as I had to upgrade to iPhone 7, X, 12, etc. as my SEEK thermal camera was important to circuit board diagnostic to my business. Now that they are all dead we are free. Presently considering Hti-Xintai 384 X 288 High Resolution Thermal Camera Imager with 25 fps. I also got REALLY tired of the seek app making me look at that guy every time I was waiting for the imager to hopefully come to life.
That's weird because I've had mine for 2yrs. And had several people who I know using them for a long time too and no failures like you've mentioned. It could be due to the fact that we're using it in the stand, which doesn't require us to constantly plug and unplug it
@@VCCBoardRepairs First off - I must subscribe to your channel. I do respect your name in this industry. I did wind up buying a HOT-ROD of a similar dongle type thermal cam. Can you suggest any low temperature Solder paste (I prefer syringe type) may be sound stupid but if i use 138 degree solder paste what is better temperature set in hot air machine?
@@sudhispillai8885 You will have to set the temperature higher, probably at like 300C. The reason being, the 300C will be measured within the hot air gun, you won't hold it up 1mm away from the component you would be soldering but rather 3-5 cm, so the heat will spread and no longer will be 300C at the place where the solder paste is. That, plus you need to heat up the whole component area, not just the component if you don't want to create cracks. Also, just experiment with the temperature and air flow yourself, see what seems reasonable, do some trila and error.

Thanks for the video, the seek is still the best but it’s good to see something that’s close to it at a budget price
They make a fast frame version of the seek compact pro now.

The flex cable inside the Seek tends to wear out and fail

Hi friend, advice plus this or the t2s+ version?🕵️♂️
in middle left there is short cap so clean see it its amazing!
I am hoping someone can confirm the use of such a camera to find moles/voles in my yard? What I don't know is if the dirt would insulate the moles body heat?
It can detect heat. I suppose if the heat transfers through the dirt, you would see it. But i have no direct experience with that use case.
