  • Bringing people to Africa is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. For me, it has everything to do with exposure. Whether someone descends from Africa or not, the exposure to the continent makes all of the difference. The first hand experience with the cultures, the people and the history enlightens in a way a book or video can’t do.

The sister with the headwrap is loaded with knowledge. I appreciate the group's observation. I have been disturbed by how churches have replaced factories and deluded our people into self-hate, adopting miracle & prosperity worship instead of the hard work & tenacity that built the Malian, Songhai, Kongo, Benin & Ghana empires. People at home resist when I tell them the illusions of their subservient behavior.

True thank you Queen Sister , you are somebody you are a beautiful African Queen, and your speech was so on point, you're on another level than the other sitting at the table, you're on a spiritual place, as you have said, the African countries are so far behind, with all the resources that they have, could have been a leader in the Eastern world. But they have let others come in,with all that christianity and taken from them, plus the leaders who are greedy taking from the people.just look at the construction of roads look at the flooding,Electric, jobs far most part , the youth has no programs, If they had only a leader to four see , because they have the resources to do so. But greed has taken place for everyone in power. Look what happened to Rwanda how far they have come, Clean streets

The lady in the headwrap made some valid points, however: West Africa is basically just recovering from 300yrs of colonisation & enslavement... Some of the strongest bodies and best minds were stolen from Africa in slave ships and shipped to America & Europe... West Africa lost over 100 million geniuses to slavery & they also stole gold, silver, diamonds, oil & trillions of dollars from West Africa... The good life all African Americans (including myself) are living in America and Europe is as a result of the monies that was stolen from there and brought to us... We are enjoying what they should have been enjoying... Although we were enslaved, but it's really they who lost everything... It's time for us to take what belongs to Africa from the west, back to Africa.

It’s not true Africans are very welcoming to black Americans. Just because Africans keep to themselves in America doesn’t mean black Americans are not welcome there or that they feel a type of way. To be honest it’s always been Afro-Americans in general that didn’t want to identify with Africans and have always distant themselves from Africa so I think Africans have been waiting for African-Americans to come around and finally unite. Come there and embrace and enjoy the continent not point fingers or compare the continent to America.

Amazing! People step on the continent for a few days and, immediately, they are able to diagnose all the problems and come up with solutions without hearing the people or being guided by hindsight. That perception of knowing it all and considering everybody as "uneducated" or naïve is actually part of the problem. Yes, Africa has too many issues which require overhauling our thinking. Of course, the churches are a huge part of our stagnation, but doing away with Christianity for the Hebrew religion is, certainly, not the solution we need. We can push and pull, but the Hebrew religion of today has no relation to Voodoo and similar religions practiced by the indigenes of Africa. Therefore, replacing a foreign religion with another strange religion is like putting a bandage on a stomach as a remedy for emotional trauma. Moreover, you cannot provide a solution without understanding what the root course is. In fact, the core of affliction in Africa is indoctrination and not religion.
This fact has been reiterated by continental Africans, but the difference is that we say that knowing the challenges ahead, understanding that the people are not stupid, and knowing the reason for the multitude of churches present today.

It is imperative that we collectively tell the story about Africa. We need each other and cannot undue the past; however, the power of the pen is no longer singular. Be a positive contributor to a history that has been severely distorted. We must continue to tell the story, lest no one forgot, trust in God unequivocally, the link (Africa and it people worldwide) is not broken yet.

Blacks born in the west have white minds. They don't understand that language is culture and that culturally they are white. it is that cultural mindset that makes think Africans are manipulatable people. What beats me is that given their smartness why can't they end racism in America? Humans have always believe in a supreme being. So going to church to the African could be a way of staying away from sin or crime. Africans don't mix religion with politics like you do in the west. Ironically, the only people blacks born in the west are smarter than are Africans. Between Africans and blacks born in the west who owns their own homes and houses despite your living in rich countries. Blacks born in the west need Africa more than Africa needs them.

It's all about dollars, Ghanaian don't even care about themselves talkless of black in America.. Ghana gov are closing shops own by other Africans in their country demanding they must invest a million dollars before they can trade, thesame Ghanaian pretending that they want black in America.. it's all about their foreign remittances and basically for tourism,,the tribalism going on in Ghana is even worst than racism , most Ghanaian will sell all they have just to get to South Africa, Europe and America

West Africa is basically just recovering from 300yrs of colonisation & enslavement...
