This studio is just on another level. Its so insane how they can create so many great games in a short amount of time at the same time. Even if they reuse alot of assets, it still requires an insane amount of work for every game. RGG is an underrated studio
It's not insane that they can make games in short amount of time. It's insane that all of them are good. Even the "worst possible game in the series" is 7/10 for me
It's worth noting that the only reason they used Unreal for Ishin was because they wanted to see how Unreal worked under the hood to be able to go back and incoporate some of those things into the Dragon Engine.
1:27 "From 2012 to 2024, there only had been two years where RGG studio wasn’t able to release a game" You're not giving them enough credit here. Since their INCEPTION, they have only missed 4 years. The two you didn't mention are 2007 and 1999. 1999 was only their second year of EXISTENCE as a studio and 2007 came right after a 5 year streak of releasing two games per year, and it was also in the transition period from PS2 to PS3. RGG Studio/Sega CS R&D1 literally just spawned in as a goated studio and stayed like that ever since.
its also because, well, sega is a big company, and rgg studio can pull from any division they want to within sega tbh. 400 employees out of the 1000 at sega of japan are rgg studio i think

I think it'd be safe to say they're working on Yakuza 9 too so 3 big projects because they pull off straight magic
It’s a safe bet even if it’s in pre production. They have a pipeline of games working through.
LAD 9, Kiwami 3 and Judgment 3 are guaranteed in various stages of production.. Not to say any of them will be the next announcement
