As a veteran of the Brazilian Army and as an enthusiast of our cuisine, I come to say that this operational ration is amazing! They made it that way to be as close as possible to what a soldier would eat at home on a normal day. In addition to replenishing energy and satisfying hunger, the ration acts on the soldier's psychological in his mission/training, making him feel at home. It's great to see this kind of video, and it's better to see the presenter enjoying it! It brought back so many memories of my time wearing the camouflage uniform! Greetings from 🇧🇷!
Let me tell you a secret, as a Brazilian whose mother used to make those banana bars. They're pure banana boiled for like, 12, 24, 36 hours straight. Those commercial ones tend to use a mix so people who prefer the very smooth, cooked and sweet ones can also enjoy it as much as those who prefer it lightly boiled and creamier.
The alcohol took a while to heat the water because you used less alcohol than intended, you should use like 2 times more than you did there. Great video keep up the good work 👍
That banana bar, looks like banana bread. That is a really cool ration. That is a big container of water for a little fire, but it looked like it did a decent job. Over all not to bad. Excellent review 👍
You probably know it by now but the banana candy is a pretty famous snack in Brazil, I saw some people comparing it to banana bread, but it’s actually only banana cooked with sugar, no flour or eggs, that’s why the flavor is so rich and natural, there’s no one I know who doesn’t love them
I don't think you liked the way the food looked, but this is very tasty. We Brazilians eat this, rice, a meat broth with well-seasoned minced meat and a farofa on top. should try
That one looked like a really good one the minced beef with the rice looked great especially when you thickened it up! Banana brownie sounded good too!🖐😁👍
Personally i dont like to use that much farinha (fried cassava flour) in this dish because i think makes the beef & rice too much dry, but a little bit just on top without mixturing is so good Very glad you've tried a Brazilian MRE, and the banana bar brownie is the most underrated thing on earth haha 🙏🏼🇧🇷
Arroz, extrogonofe e batat palha. hmmmmmm. PS: Sou brasileira e moro no interior de São Paulo
Always glad to see something new reviewed. I need to look around for some of these the menu sounds interesting and i like that kind of stuff. Thanks for sharing!
Wow Dub, It looked really good, I would love to be able to try some of the Great Foreign Rations, Who knows maybe Someday I will get to try some, Until then, I will watch your Great Reviews 👍 Sincerely your freind from Mo Rick and God bless you and your family and are Great Country and Republic
Hey mate! I'm brazilian. That's a cassava flour, very easy to produce. The brazilian indigenous was already planting when the portuguese colonizers arrived. There is not such a taste when mixed in any meal, but we usually cook the flour with some butter, bacon and garlic which make it looks like beach sand, we call it "farofa".
Cassava is a starchy root, similar to cooked potatoes in taste. The texture is creamier, but it's a bland flavor that just adds another layer to whatever you mix it into. If you ever have the chance, try cassava chips or thick-cut deep-fried cassava pieces. It's good stuff.
WoW, that gravy meat reminded me of cats puking up after rapidly eating food. As well, what a load of sugar candies ! Interesting menu but it shines a light on what a country feeds its soldiers. The food one feeds its warriors shows it’s contribution to the world. Can a soldier fight , survive and defend ones country based on the food/survival pack a country provides?

Brazilian rations look right up my alley the banana bar looks perfect for any ration honestly..great review dub 🤘😎🎩
I would love to see the banana bar in more rations!
The alcohol took a while to heat the water because you used less alcohol than intended, you should use like 2 times more than you did there. Great video keep up the good work 👍

It was really close to banana bread but more rich in flavor.
It's a common traditional candy in Brazil, the ingredients are only two: Banana and Sugar.
That's why its so dark, strong flavored and sweet
It is in fact "dried banana", where the process of dried meat is applied, but it is used sugar instead of salt.
From all the mre video I watch, people say Brazilian MRE is one of the best
It is very good and well set up. I also was impressed with the 24hr version.

I love the process in which it is made and like you said makes the flavor very rich!
Rice is always a good companion to a protein! Overall looked real nice!
Thanks for showing Dub✌️
It was great paired with that minced beef. Thanks for checking it out.

I prefer any candie over smarties or a tootsie roll. Banana bar was new to me. Thanks for sharing
I agree it was nice to have something new! Thanks for watching.
Those banana bars are only technically candy, they're like, 95% bananas boiled to heck and 5% sugar.
That was a really cool ration to see. Glad you got to try this one. I am always looking out for new stuff too. This is now on the list.
I think you will really like it the minced beef had a great flavor. Thanks for checking it out.

I have been looking for more with rice cause I love mixing it with mains. Thanks for watching.
@@dubc3615 Well if you just add a few 🥔, 🌰,& a bit of 🧄 you have a knock off version of a Guiso de carne. 🍖🤤🤣

good looking ration. neat to see a different ration. 😀
It was fun to explore and try out. I am looking for the 24hr version.
Interesting ration. Probably had too much water for the alcohol gel to perform well...
First time using alcohol fuel was not sure how hot it would burn but now I know. Thanks for watching!

I am always keeping an eye for them hoping to find new and explore because it is a lot of fun. Thanks for checking it out.
I love gravy and rice, adding the minced meat would just be a plus. The banana bar is something I wish I could find in the stores.
I wonder if you dropped a tiny bit of twigs in the burner if it would speed it up?
Nice video. Have a great day and be safe out there!
That may help I will have to try it. Thanks for watching.
Another excellent video.
Thanks JoT!
Hey Dub 🙋♂️
Watching now, sounds interesting for sure 😎👍
Finding new rations reminds me of when I first found this hobby! So cool to explore new things.
@@dubc3615 that's awesome... Enjoy your day
Interesting
It was a nice amount of food for 6hr meal.
Can you get drunk off that fuel ⛽️ lmao 😂
Whoa them purple tip matches lol 😂
Well even the ads was alright lol 😂 🥇
I think it looked alright a lot more meal then I have seen in some rations ....
It was alcohol lol so I would say yes.
looks like a tasty one
Thanks for checking it out.
Too bad the little alcohol stove was not such a success. The rest of the MRE looked pretty great though!
Overall worked out great I just need to practice more with the stove. Thanks for watching.
Does that powder you poured on top of the meal have flavour, like a seasoning, or is it just to thicken it up and add more bulk?
No flavor like a corn meal so more for bulk. But the meat had great flavor and seasoning so it worked out great.
Looked like instant grits to me
