To strenghten the chassis do you have a steel front chassis brace !!! its placed under the chassis, this will really improve you overall strenght of the chassis.
I've bought the same model on the same shop, and I confirm that this is a "best buy" car. Low price, good quality, good upgrades already built-in, good engine. My is still perfect after 5 months, no damages, no troubles, no bullshit. This is absolutely the best car to taste 1/5 RC and enjoy it.
Keep Brapppn brotha don’t worry about about the the negativity guys that wished they had a Baja like yours . I like all my Baja Buggies and even 5SC . I love all the Aluminum Green Anodized parts on yours
thanks bro. you rock 🤘🤘 i dont worry. i just wanted to explain ppl that they can not expect for it to last if you doing stupid things with it and not to break. or go out for a bash and come back home and just dump them and not do a quick service and expect for them to run ok next time they are out.
Im not negative im objective. I've never told anyone they have shitty rc or something like that hobby is to enjoy it i just pointed out few flaws I've found on mine so everyone thinking about getting AS1 baja will know what might occour. I never ment to be rude or anything like that and if i made someone feel bad then im sorry ;[
its just like everything else, you can go neutral slamming your car and expect the transmission to last, drive straight into a mailbox or something, even a traxxas or arrma will break
The most intelligent review on RUclips ,people buy this jump the shit out of them then say there crap because they've broken, these are back end heavy and not designed for jumps there sand buggies .and require maintenance, excellent review ,let the fools smash them.
Sounds to me like the guy you were talking about who broke the shocks and other parts which got me thinking, I guarantee you that he was bashing the living hell out of his poor Baja. You are so so so right, they weren’t made to fly like a Typhon 😅. Or he drove head on into a curb or a tree or something because they don’t break like that. So what you were saying you’re absolutely right and I agree with you 100% my friend. Like the old saying goes, you can’t bullshit a bullshitter
Hit or miss Guy was me ;] My damage so far is: -3 front arms -all 4 shocks(these were impossible to bleed without mods and the rubber seal was so tight and thick it was binding on the shaft, just bad design) -rear tires(Overall i think these are decent tires, maybe just got unlucky and hit something sharp.) -pipe(extreamly thin and cracked on the weld) -throttle servo(burned out of the box) -spur gear (that happens to every baja sooner or later if you run sand paddles) -diff interior(screws came lose cuz i was too lazy to rebuild it when i got it. My fault.) -some minor stuff like wing, body, servo arm, spark plug (would rather call that exploatation costs) All the damage above(except for the tires) occoured at first 3 tanks. Side note arms were breaking NOT due to poor nylon quality but becouse of the absolutely garbage shocks not providing any damping. After changing to irc shocks and like 10 tanks later not a single one broke(still using rovan arms). So thats the negative. Keep in mind that if you buy it you have to tear it apart and rebuild since mine was poorly assembled. Hthe pros of this car are: price, good enough quality of aluminum and amount of hop up alredy fitted. When i compared it to my friends geniuine HPI ss baja and we took the price into account the rovan came on top even tho i went ham with the upgrades to fix everything i didnt like about the car like changing the shocks for irc and spur and pinion for black magic/vertigo rovan came out just slightly more expensive and outperforming ss baja by far! About the comment assumming that i might lack expirience I've been in the hobby for years, own quite a few rc cars (including more than one 5th scale) I also work as hobby store mechanic so my job is basicly fixing rc cars and i do it 8hr a day so i think im decently expirienced xD So quick conclusion about rovan. Its a great start if you are ready to invest some extra time to tear it apart and later down the road some money for stuff that might turn out to be faulty. If you are up just for a car that will be good out of the box go for HPI since higher price in this case means beter quality controll. My baja on the left sorry for poor quality my phone camera lens are damaged. scontent-frx5-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/66010747_845524735823006_9093820348440248320_n.jpg?_nc_cat=101&_nc_oc=AQms638FcUZx7YIdhxRHwioJQDYCZaUf-avM5GtkUi90GiQhOC7B386XMCyXvdDiuYg&_nc_ht=scontent-frx5-1.xx&oh=330c242105e3d71e290b668407db80eb&oe=5E06B63F
One more thing, arms never broke on the point you have shown they always break at the very end where they have little loop to hold the ball allowing front wheels to turn. In there arm is only about 5 maybe 6mm thick and this is the fail point for every baja arm if you hit hard enough. Just like the front port of the chassis on this little bent up front is the weakest point for the entire chassis(skid plate highly recommended).
wow now thats what i call a comment. lol i see what you mean about the front shocks i did come across the same issue but mine are fine now and i think its because everything its new it stays very tight it might just need time to wear the O rings on the bottom of the shaft. my pipe mount broke to but that was due to my friend rear ended it. but fixed it by welding it back. but like i said on the video not trying to diss anyone.🤘🤘
Fantastic information mate, I agree with you mate, if you abuse it you will lose it mate, look after it and it will look after you, My JLB kept breaking when i bashed it Hard but now i just have fun with it without Jumping or going stupid and it's not broke yet 🤞 fantastic video really enjoyed every minute 👍😁👍
I have alot of experience with them....7-10 years ago when they came out...my first 3 wer knock offs....rovan and king motors...constant problems....than i got 2 real hpi and theu wer worlds stronger...identical but durability wasnt there....even the motors woukdnt hold a tune....but I've heard they're alot better now and made better
yes thats true back a few year i would not buy them the engine was like butter and the parts were crap. but now they are way better i have this one for over a year and only had one problem with the engine but that might have been my fault. thanks for watching bud.🤘🤘
Yes, that original servo horns quality is poor and brakes easily. Also throttle ballend from carb is not that high-level. Otherwise quite a strong car and has many aluminium parts, right off a box👍
nice video so uma pergunta és portugues? por causa do nome e do stotaque great video just a question are you portuguese? because of the name and the accent
I just realised one thing rewatching. Have your shock caps always been black? Mine came with green ones and i wonder if maybe there was some change made in rovan rc.
@@Tugalife83 If you want some rl nice upgrade for your baja try IRC shocks these are insanely good. Tho you need to buy tr brace mounts or put some effort into cutting the included ones. I also run dominator silenced pipe(geniuine) the diffrence in quality is huge ;]

i dont worry. just wanted to explain that there is a limit to what you can do to this type of RC's
Just got mine l totally agree with you its not a basher its a racer

well you can bash it but not the same way you would bash a 1/10 or a 1/8 scale.
