Exactly..From the Season One Episode, From a line in the Episode "Errand Of Mercy"..He Was referring to the Entities Of Organia, That got so advanced, that they became Sentient beings of,Like Spock Said,"Pure Energy"!
I think “Destruction “ is Captain Kirk as well. So for those of us who were watching Star Trek reruns in the 70s and 80s this song just caught us in a perfect nostalgia wave
I danced to this a lot in the late 80s. I was already in college around 1988/89 when this was playing on the radio. I also like their song, Peace & Love Inc.
"It's worked so far, but we're not out yet" at the beginning of the song is DeForest Kelley - Dr. McCoy on Star Trek, the "Pure Energy" statement is Leonard Nimoy - Spock, the song was included on a bonus LP with the Star Trek III Movie Soundtrack in 1984.
Oh yes!!! Getting into the techno music now!! Their song “ Running” was a HUGE NYC club hit back in the day; God those were good times! Sometimes I say to my husband, “I want to know, what you’re thinking” and we both laugh ❤❤❤
Thanks for reacting to this song! I turned 8 the year this came out. The music video to this was fun and colorful. They have some really great hits such as "Think" "How Long' "Walking Away" "Running" someone did a mashup of this song and their other hit "Walking Away" that I do suggest you check out on your own and not react on here for obvious reasons. Check out "Rapture Riders" mashup of Blondie's "Rapture" and The Doors "Riders On The Storm" as well. Thanks! You might also enjoy on your own Tahnee Cain & The Tryanglz "Burnin' In The Third Degree" from The Terminator soundtrack. It has the 80's club vibe to it.
Yo, this was my favorite song when I was small 😂 You could order a cassette advertised on the back of the Coco Puffs box of all the top hits at the time, and this was on it. We played the heck out of that tape haha.
I love the songs you're picking out lately. I was a freshman in HS when this was on the charts (it was released early summer 1988 and it stayed around a while-peaking in October 1988) and it was played at every school dance and at every underage club that fall 😀
You definitely need to listen to there song Running which was a huge hit especially in the hoods of NYC back in the 80’s. Everyone was pumping that song from there car.
one of my favorite old school 80's hits. Have a suggestion for you check out Home for a rest by wild colonial boys. Great song about drunken vacation fun! enjoy your content.
That is Leonard Nimoy as Spock saying ‘Pure Energy.’
I believe that’s DeForrest Kelley as Bones saying “It’s worked so far but we’re not out yet.”
Leonard Nimoy’s (Spok) son was either a friend or fan of the band. That is how they got permission to use the voice clip “Pure Energy”

It’s their other hit which I want to see reactions to.
Entertainment Weekly called Information Society Minneapolis’s answer to Erasure.
This was late 80s synth pop. Very popular in clubs.
They have an excellent catalogue of music, all great songs. We did shows with them back in the 90's.

Lived and breathed this song when I was three apples high.

OOh,I loved this song back in college!😃
Never heard of them but they reminded me of Human League and Duran Duran.
Exaxtly my thoughts also
And now that i think about it...never ever associated those two bands as similar music but i definitely hear it now
Full Circle from the 80s has the perfect intro that defines the dance music haha it was by Company B. It's fun 💙
Informatio Society = G.O.A.T.
If that ain't a badass dance groove, what is?
