Is it possible to remap with a NS-2 boss pedal? I only have two pedals, a feedbacker distortion and a noise suppressor. I imagine that with a NS-2 it’ll be a much cleaner pedal than a distortion pedal
Yeah, there would be a difference; proper remap boxes are matching the impedance perfectly and will also have a - very useful - gain control, usually. You get what you paid for at the end of the day, however, this is a wonderfully cheap alternative that still does a fantastic job. Surprisingly impressive!
You just saved me $100! This is great. I’ve got an RV-6 I’ll try this out with - can you use the effect of the pedal simultaneously while using it as a reamp device?
boss pedals have a buffer, which means they don't fully bypass when turned off. to answer your question: you can do it both ways but turning it off makes the pedal not apply any effects!!! on a note: don't recommend using distortion pedals since they can add a bit of residual distortion

I just googled it(!) and it looks like they are, so it’s worth a go.
They will likely be lower quality but it can’t hurt to try!

Yep, absolutely. And it won’t make a difference which one you use because you don’t engage the pedal, you have it connected but always left in bypass
