    I am a retired Motor Officer, but have been riding since I was 15 in 1965. I had mistakingly assumed that I was in the top tier of motorcyclists. . .UNTIL I took the Motorcycle Officer Course in Chattanooga, some years ago. In the past I attended classes for Racers, even riding at Daytona Motor Speedway. I live near Cherohala Skyway and frequently ride through Deal's Gap. But when I took the Motorcycle Officers Course it didn't take long to dawn on me how poorly I actually was. It was, without a doubt, the hardest training I have ever had. Every day, I was physically wrecked and emotionally drained. I dropped my Road King more in those two weeks than I ever had in all the years I have riding. Congrads Doodle, you are truly a Champion!

    You are fearless, Doodle. After over 50 years of riding including dirt riding, road racing and trackday riding, I realized that everything I ever learned about riding was focused on how to go fast which I was pretty good at. Three years ago, after dropping my Ducati more times than I care to admit, I realized that I was terrible at low-speed riding. I always attributed dropping my bike to the fact that I'm only 5'5" and have a 28-inch inseam. I then started researching police training and other websites that focus on low-speed skills. For the last 3 years, I've been going to a nearby parking lot and practicing, and have improved my low-speed skills significantly but still have a long ways to go. This has become even more important since purchasing my first adventure bike (like you I have a Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro). I really respect your willingness to push your limits and try all sorts of new things. I can only hope to achieve your low-speed skills, and you've inspired me to practicing.

You are even breathing new life into old riders. Just reading the comments below vindicates what I believe. May you never get bored with what you are doing. You are fantastic. Keep up the great work. I hope one day our paths will cross out on the open road, and we can share a coffee..or tea. With this heat, ice water will be fine. Take care and keep the shiny side up.

      @fasfan Месяц назад +1

      @@pitchforkpeasant6219 I wonder if leaning forward pushes your center of gravity forward and helps you turn the bars and rotate further.
      Youre right though... head and eyes up. Look where you WANT to go.
      I remember one time it definitely saved me. I went into a corner a bit faster than I thought I was and started going wide. I caught myself fixate on the guardrail thinking I was going under it or over it. I snapped out of it and remembered look where you want to go. Turned my eyes back down the road and sure enough.. the bike leaned more and went on around the corner and down the road. I know if I had stayed looking at the rail I'd have hit it.

    Doodle: You were made Leader because you've proven yourself. If little lady can handle that big bike, then the fellows should feel confident that they could follow you. Good job, Ma'am! You are the most serious rider I've ever heard of. Keep it up, and keep it upright. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. You're making riders better.

    This awesome. Super impressive watching cops sling those bikes around and so cool seeing her learn how to do it. Honestly think being a motorcycle cop would be awesome. Know they sometimes get a bad rap but everyone I’ve met has been really cool and love motorcycles.

    After seeing how cops train, I’ve been wanting to do a course like that. I might see about doing a long trip to do one of them 👀

    First off I have nothing more than the up most respect for ALL LEO's, the things they do to help protect us but the things they see and assist with at bad traffic accidents, gang wars, domestic violence calls, etc. BUT I have a lot of respect for you Doodle!!!! You've got a LOT of grit and determination that sets you apart from most if not all of the other YT posters. Congrats on graduating the class and Thank You for a outstanding video!!!! Be Blessed and safe!!!!!
