There is water used in dustless blasting, no heat!
Just recycled glass to pick up or garnet if substrate is sensitive
If you get to close to it you can Warp the metal he is back far enough so that doesn't happen
Recently did a 69 E-Type and it was a bit tricky

Nah these old cars have strong as metal. On a newer car you’d be correct. But sandblasting these old cars is the best way to go about it.

I cringe at sandblasting the impact it has on the panel shape and how that mighty screw compressor will pump higher than 120 psi all day long with no water 💦 in the line and how it takes days to blow all the sand out of the chassis and box sections and that you never get rid of all the sand out of the vehicle soda blasting is way less heat but doesn’t clean the panel as good thank god for epoxy primer and body filler hey

What would be a safer way to remove rust from body panel?
@@powerband5235 Media blasting would be the way to go but not sand blasting. Sand blasting heats up the panel while hammering it with bits of sand but the media is soft enough that it just takes off the paint.
Media is the product u blast with wether it sand .garnet .glass bead they are all media you are misunderstanding the term media .

Very unlikely seems to be pretty low psi
The metal will be full of pits.
@Wil-nh5kz a sandable primer is typically used after sealing it, so no pits right?
Epoxy primer or etch primer is next. But yes you could also use a high build primer if it is direct to metal (dtm) not all high builds are dtm

Warping that whole body
Is whistling because you have too much air open up your metering valve on your blast pot more, although your media is cutting good, open the grit up just a bit more
That'll use up more sand than necessary. Outside and possibly no reclaim means a big loss on media and more time cleaning up media. It's nice when it's soft and quiet but I find a tighter meter gets the job done.
