Yes, I must agree that as this trend has gotten more extreme, it has also got me more worried. As someone living in Canada, I can only see glimpses of how bad the situation is in mainland China/throughout Asia but I worry for the young women subject to the harsher and harsher "beauty standards" in the East. Smaller sizes and low kg weight have really pushed this Infantile beauty standard up. I fear that this is also causing unhealthy relationships where the woman is more "easily exploitable" because , as you said, they act with reduced agency/will. It also really angers me that this seems to imply that there is a sexualization of children and that pedophilia is somehow okay!?
