Yeah, I had to go back and watch that punch again, you don't see them like that very often, especially considering Vader weighs almost 300 pounds but that punch got him a good 2 or 3 feet off the ground 😂
Pretty sure space marines have at least one spare heart so taking one down really isnt a mortal wound. Good fight thou!

Like I hate these scenarios because the answer is almost always that 40k wins because 40k is literally just a different power scale, like, it would be like comparing the model T to a Ford F-150, like, they're both cars, but they're both so different and from such different worlds that there's nothing really to say on it aside from the F150 being the obvious better

The best part for me is when the Space Marine looks up, see's something it doesn't recognize and attacks without hesitation. Kind of sums up the Imperium in a nutshell.

My personally, I just like how well these guys worked with bladework instead overplaying their abilities. This wasn't some wizard battle of force/warp powers, this was a battle between duelists with dark arts. Watching the two cross blades and duke it mano-a-mano was just phenomenal.
I’ve seen quite a bit of legitimate swordplay and this stuff is not far off, it’s got a bit of cinematic flair but otherwise it’s accurate and looks epic.

For Vader, it is a question of "Is it Legends or Canon?", and for the Space Marine, it is which "version of the Codex?".
Truly, these two men are tormented by the evershifting forces of continuity.
Exactly, we saw that with the force choke. Vader would only do a slow choke if he wanted to assert his dominance. When Vader actually want to kill someone with the Force he was just snap the neck directly.

@@CT-1975 Do not doubt the Emperor. In all seriousness though in its simplest terms impact is something being suddenly stopped or slowed significantly by another force.
I love the lightsaber effects after Darth struck the marine in the armor. How the glow faded away slowly was a nice touch that really shows attention to detail. Nice job!

I love the detail that while Vader's armor and force abilities can easily deflect most plasma, projectile and heat-based attacks, his suit was deliberately built with a weakness to lightning-based attacks in case he ever tried to turn on Palpatine...as we say happen in Return of the Jedi.
Fire yes but he'd get absolutely roasted by hot plasma as that would be like getting hit by a lightsaber
@@mr.jamrob4505 Depends on where, since if you look closely at the scene in Empire Strikes Back right before Vader slices Luke's hand off, Luke actually gets a direct hit in on Vader's shoulder armor which deflects the strike. He also stopped Han's blaster fire with The Force and his own mechanical hand. Even when Luke successfully sliced off Vader's mechanical hand in Return of the Jedi he had to hit the same spot multiple times for the lightsaber to cut through.

Strictly speaking, while the effect of deflecting the plasma blast was cool as hell, he still should've been cooked alive. Bing surrounded by the heat of a miniature star is only marginally less lethal than being directly hit by it.

So basically two Space Marines can take down Darth Vader, it's insane how a simple and ordinary soldier of Warhammer 40k can quite enough facing against one of the strongest character of Star Wars

I don't really agree with the depiction. Vader has the ability to literally just crush the dude in his armor. Space Marines are obscenely strong, but Vader can literally hold a spaceship at like full thrust. That's astronomically difficult.

@@mayoluck Librarians really aren't all that strong in the grand scheme of things. They're like a 5 in the psyker spectrum. The average gray knight is stronger than most Librarians, and Librarians are mildly above the average throne fodder. The Emperor is like 4 trillion in comparison. WH40k definitely scales higher than Star Wars, but Vader would 100% crush a standard librarian.
To be honest, it makes sense to me that a Librarian may face Vader in 1v1 and have a decent shot at it.
The best part of course is to watch them fight from the pov of an Imperial Guardsman and an Imperial Stormtrooper because for them the sparring literally would last for maybe 20 seconds because of how fast both would go.
Well just putting this out there? Stormtroopers can't hit the broadside of a barn. so I think an Imperial Guardsman might an easier time.
Funny part is that it's only true cause plot armor, but canon actually shows them being excellent sharpshooters because of their training. At least, for the first half of the war, that is.@@gamepad3173

I don't know anything about 40k, so i could be wrong, but Vader - from my understanding of Starwars could simply force crush their entire body in their suit. The strongest force users could redirect planets, battlecruisers etc.
And the onyl reason they don't basically gravity-ball-crush thinsg like you do a piece of paper in your hand is because of other force users force barrier.
AFAIK space marines don't have access to the force, therefore no barrier. And since we saw vader force choke here and he never does this to force users that are even close to his power, my logical guess is the marine couldnt defend from it.. so if he just force crushed the marine all at once liek a soda can..... 1 shot kill.
I liked how Space Marines transhuman might came up when Vader thought he'd won already after stabbing the Librarian through his chest, yet the Librarian kept coming at him like it was just a fleshwound. Well done Majorkill and Paul1748!

Well his whole chest insides would have been cooked any additional hearts included, but this is stuff even the creators are constantly inaccurate and inconsistent about so why hold fan art to a higher standard.

Interesting choice to not have the space marine shoot him while their blades were locked. Literally had that in the space marine 2 trailer, the plama pistol didn't hurt him the first time but that does mean Vader's simply immune to it. That being said that space marine armor was great looking, I do love me some shiny gold

I'm pretty sure the Space Marine f-ed up when he tried to use a physic attack on Darth Vader. The dark side of the Force is basically powered by anger and hate, so invading Darth's mind to forcibly remind him of his past failures and atrocities would only serve to piss him off, making his powers with the Force even stronger.

Powerscalers are cringe. Canon Vader has blocked bullets, lazers, and other fast attacks. He's soloed entire armies, chock slammed actual gods, and most importantly, he looks absolutely badass while doing it. Vader would be a unit in 40k as long as he doesn't try to square up with anything bigger than a chapter master

I love both universes so if Vader has legitimately fought a god heads up, I’d like to know where. As it stands, I think OP has it right, he’ll hold his own against most, but not against the best.

I’ll even give him the honor of comparing him to Kaldor Draigo. Though Vader would lose to the eons of battle experience Draigo has.
At first I felt there was no way a Space Marine Librarian would lose to Darth Vader with all their abilities. But then I considered this is a basic chapter librarian against arguably one of the most powerful Sith Lords in Star Wars and then it became acceptable.
Then again, while he is Darth Vader, even the strongest foes can be felled by psykers. Thats why the Thousand Sons are one of the strongest chapters

To me, it's interesting to see the change in vader's saber style. He's usually fighting jedi that are not as strong as him, usually by a large margin. His style is usually much more static and overbearing, relying on his strength instead of his skill. In this case, the marine is stronger than he is by a large margin, so he relies on the skills that he has always had, just not needed.
I agree. Also to keep in mind that Vader used his overbearing strength to intimidate his jedi opponents in order for their fear to crack them. Doesnt work on an enemy who knows no fear and is overall physically stronger.
Agree with your statement, I just think that the SM could have overpowered Darth Vader easily given how much stronger a SM (sizewise) is to anything in the Star Wars universe. 3 m tall but hits probably like a 20 m tall rancor.

Finally someone understands, yes Vader's weakness is Lightning but you could clearly see him endure a ton of it, for instance he was once struck by entire city's Lightning source, so I think Vader would have enough stamina to stand still but he would be kinda exhausted
So a Space Marine Librarian Psyker is able to give Vader, one of the most feared and powerful Sith Lords in Star Wars, a run for his money in sheer strength and ability. Neat.
Be fair there is a lot more terrifying stuff running around in warhammer.... and honestly Vader might be powerful int terms of the republic but the old republic was doing some inane shit that eclipses his abilities.
Vader in legends is comparable in strength to Emperor wh40k, what is shown here is a severely weakened version of Vader
Let's see how legends darkside (alternate vader) anakin would deal against the fully restored Void Dragon, the most powerful C'tan.

This was counterproductive because Sith get stronger through emotions like pain, hate, fear e.t.c and giving Vader PTSD flashbacks of Padme just gave him a massive darkside boost.

I know how everything in 40k is described as being on a whole nother level. However, I've found that 40k isn't as strong as it make itself soundlike.
Codexes are more like propaganda, to impress both civilians and boost recruitment for the different factions, but also to impress us as consumers (clever advertising actually).
However, when you read about a faction from other factions perspective, you learn about the true power of that faction.
And by measuring the described power of things within 40k against each other and against modern equipment, you'll realize that 40k is mostly barks.
I compared the described power of the lasgun to modern firearms, and I found that its lethal energy appears to be about what you can expect from a modern anti-tank rifle, except lasgun shots seems to discharge their lethal energy over a larger surface area, which would be great against vulnerable target but do near nothing against armor (and we know that these things can wound space marines), while 50. cal and 20mm are designed to penetrate armor.
@@Movieplayer112 I mean the Imperium of man in 40k era had already lost lots of technologies from the dark age of technologies, but even huamnity had lost so much the Imperium could still build megastructures example like dyson sphere.
@@alphariusfuze8089 I feel like the dark age of technology was made, because GW had no idea how to write stories or make a game around a setting, where black holes were thrown around like candy during halloween (and frankly, neither do I).
The issue I see with 40k is that it contradicts itself to the point where nothing seems true. In a way I just find the franchise poorly thought through, and comparing 40k to other franchises doesn't makes sense, as 40k hardly makes sense within itself.

Уважаемый , вы слишком коротко отреагировали . Марин , псайкер , Ультрамарин , у Вейдера не было шансов даже дойти до рукопашки . Во первых марин примитивно быстрый , очень быстрый , во вторых Ультрамарины не заскорузли в каких то догматах , я не про Кодекс Астартес , а про упор на ближний бой и подобные особенности , и думают разносторонне и очень быстро . I think we can all agree that we would like these short animations to become as regular as possible. Phenomenal video.
I honestly think the imperium and the empire would be pretty good friends. I mean the empire could solve a lot of the imperium problems with the hyperdrive and the empire is pretty xenophobic although on a much lesser scale.
The Galactic Empire is what the Emperor of Mankind essentially wanted. But that doesn't matter because now the Imperium of man is a fanatical theocracy that will kill anyone who doesn't worship their "god" emperor. The Sith are pretty fanatical about the dark side, which is essentially chaos.. That heresy wouldn't be forgivable, the Imperium would have to crush the Empire. Even the Sith of old wouldn't be able to deal with the raw number of powerful space marines and Astartes. In space though, the Empire might actually stand a chance, so it's kind of a tossup because I don't know how Imperium ships work aside from the travelling through hell thing.
@@aarontoles5988 Well, the Imperium doesn't actually really know *how* to operate their ships, since many of the secrets of their ships (Especially the Adeptus Mechanicus' Ships) stem from either the Dark/Golden Age of Humanity, although there have been times when the "sleeping" AIs within the ships woke up because the ship was in danger of being destroyed and utilized weaponry within it that the Imperium or Mechanicus didn't even know was on the ship, and Oh mah gawd was it destructive. Sent a massively powerful enemy ship a split second back in time, so it's atoms occupied the same space in time at the same time, and oh man, was that a terrifyingly impressive display of weaponry the Imperium didn't even know it had
I'm pretty sure that the Imperium would have problems with the inquisitors, Darth Vader, Starkiller, and the Emperor's Hand. Probably would mistake them for psykers

The dark side of the Force and the Sith belief in it represents the view of manifest destiny; "I want to rule", not "I want my soul to be damned to the forces of hell itself.", as was the case with Horus and the fall of the other Primarchs at the end of the Great Crusade. A Sith Lord would not magically be a follower of Chaos or even weak to Chaos' influence. The Sith as such as recent as Plagueis and Sidious time, seemed to hate and refuse to acknowledge the existence of the Ones, the family of Celestials who are all for intents and purposes, "Gods" of the Force. Plagueis even refuses to accept the Sith should ever bend knee to the Son or the Mother (Abeloth) who are the personifications of the dark side itself.
So honestly no, I don't see an issue theoretically between say Vitiate's revitalized Sith Empire or Valkorion's Eternal Empire. The former and the much latter Galactic Empire are both extremely xenophobic, autocratic meritocracies, the only main difference compared to the Imperium is that the Galactic Empire was much more...subversive in hiding its xenophobia. Non-humanoids in the Mid and Outer Rim were treated like chattel, their rights were third class and slavery was permitted with Hutt Space as long as it benefited the Empire with its labor needs. The Sith Empire of Vitiate however was much more outwardly xenophobic, many alien races that were members of the Old Republic were driven to extinction or outright enslaved.
Ultimately, it would be an eye-opening moment if the High Lords of Terra, the Emperor of Mankind, and Roboute Guilliman were to learn of the existence of another galaxy that was ruled largely by humans and near-humans who had vastly faster means of FTL travel, the ability to use psychic powers without any connection to the Warp and the Sith heading it.

An Astartes with hundreds of years of battle experience would notice that finger lightning and shiny swords aren't getting it done, but his two ton punch was very effective against what is ultimately just a squishy human. He would have wasted no time capitalizing on the stunlock of that first punch and crushing Vader's skull into the dirt.

@@user-sm6gn3nl6o he literally laid Vader out on the ground with a punch. A smart SM would immediately capitalize on that and continue the brute force assault while Vader was still stunned and trying to pick himself up. Unfortunately, for dramatic purposes, combatants rarely do the smartest thing.
For example, when Vader scored a clear heart shot with his light saber, if he was truly smart and wanted to make sure this extremely dangerous enemy stayed down, he wouldn't have simply pulled the light saber back out. He would have driven it sideways and bisected the SM's torso, then perhaps took the head just to be sure. However that's not as interesting, so the fight goes on until victory as chosen by the writer. In this case it was Vader, but there are innumerable arguments for why it might have gone the other way.
@@herbderbler1585 I think the Librarian didn't immediately capitalize on it because he was still reeling from having a lightsaber shoved through his chest. The thing only just got taken out with that punch, which probably took a bit of something out of the librarian to accomplish.
Space marines aren't immune to pain. They recover pretty quickly from it, but a lightsaber is nothing short of agony when it is shoved through your body and snuggling right up with all of your organs.
I thought that the lightning would've made this an easy fight for the space marine, but no matter who won, this was awesome!
Lightning is actually one of the least effective powers against Vader.

Good scenario as to how a fight would go down between Vader and a battle harden elite 40K Space Marine
A little janky, but this was amazing. People are going to be throwing around thoughts on who would win, so here's my two cents on who'd most likely come out on top: *IT DEPENDS.* When comparing two such radically different sci-fi's, it's comparing apples to oranges. How strong is a Lightsaber in WH40k? Can it pierce ceramite like it pierces durasteel? What about Artificer Armor made of high-grade adamantium? In addition, one Astartes is not the same as another. Veterency, whether he's a psyker or not, and his wargear will all matter. A novice Astartes would give Vader a run for his money, but probably wouldn't stand much of a chance. A senior Librarian on the other hand, is a whole other story. Thought-provoking fun. I love it. :)
That’s what I was saying. The power level in warhammer scales much further than Star Wars on both sides so the weaker marines would be weaker than an average Jedi but the real strong like top 10% of marines are far more powerful than the top 10% of Jedi

An average Space Marine would get eaten by Vader for breakfast. Mephiston or another Chief Librarian would eat *him* for breakfast.
The Space Marine lightning was what hurt Vader the most since his suit was designed to be vulnerable to lightning as an intentional weakness made by Palpatine as he was one of the few if not the only person in the Star Wars galaxy that could make lightning after the Clone Wars and even if you include non Canon and game characters Palpatines lighting was still undisputedly the most powerful.
If you include non-canon characters then you would find out that Palpatine's lighting would not be enough.
Compared to the Sith Emperor who had to be defeated by Force itself.
Normally that punch would kill Vader immediatly though.

The punch wouldn't just be painful. It definitely would've shattered ribs and send the bone fragments into his lungs and heart, shredding them. It's likely a punch from a space marine would also transmit enough force to the spine to cause permanent or temporary paralysis, or at least serious loss of fine motor control.

@@YaBoyTroy1138 Force Users could stop the bolt shells mid flight, creating a barrier of force around them. Vader is certainly powerful enough to hold that for quite some time. The bolts likely wouldn't explode either as they wouldn't be hitting anything to make them react, only being held in place by the force.

Seems like Vader's main weakness here was being caught unaware by a new type of enemy. The librarian fell for a trick anyone would get surprised by knowledge of Vader or not, Vader only got hit when 1) wtf this guy shoots lightning? 2) wtf this guy has two hearts? It would be cool to see a second animation where he has learned a bit more to see how quickly he can improve his marine killing.
Well... i could understand stopping him with the force but he'd still have some trouble of taking him out with only that (see astartes animation), 2nd thing if they got into melee vader loses after one swing... he has mechanical arms but they aren't even close enough to withstanding a marine.
@@volfhex9270 The psyker crushing the marine helmet in Astartes has a weaker ability than Vader's force. Vader can deflect lasers, bring down high speed vehicles, crush vehicles, etc. If the space marine is a walking tank, Vader can still crush it imo. Also, Vader isn't just some normal dude who happens to have mechanical arms. His physical strength is bolstered by 1) the skill to deflect and manipulate blows 2) force spaghetti. A marine using a bolter would probably find his bolter exploding in his hands, and then he'd be killed while unable to draw his knife due to being force gripped. Melee not needed! It could play out quite a few ways. I don't see Vader not being able to win 1v1 most non-named humans in 40k. He'd probably get his shit kicked in by an Eldar psyker though.

Psykers from astartes are able to just bounce the bolter rounds and send a wave straight at the shooter, i'd say the forces are similar-ish in strenght it seems weaker because it's an astartes there. Skills to deflect and manipulate blows? that's standard astartes training. Though i will agree, vader propably could 1v1 a basic astartes, hard time with a librarian though.

I love how heavy both sides feel, you don't feel like this is jut another fight. Each side is putting all their weight and effort into each strike, movement and blow. But i also will say i love how Major Kill respected BOTH fandom's here! It's honestly great to see Darth Vader walking up to the space marine in the menacing posture, it feels like the Space Marine isn't afraid but confused on how did he get bested by a fucker with asthma. Honestly this is some great work by you and the animator!
It makes sense how Vader struggled in the duel considering the detail of him using both hands while the space marine used one. His style is based around overwhelming his opponent in sheer strength, and when that's out of the question (such as in this case), he has to use his head.

I'd actually say anything short of librarian or primarch wouldn't stand a chance. The reason is, what that ultramarine did at the beginning of the fight. He read Vader's thoughts, his memories and used them to psychologically attack him. Vader can do that too, although he wouldn't use it as offense, he'd use it to read his opponent's attacks and counter them accordingly.

Darth Vader: "You know nothing of the Emperor's will nor the power of the dark side!"

Considering that even after the first lightning strike, Vader had to adjust the life support apparatus on the go, after several shots of the capilan's lightning, all the electronics in the Sith Lord's armor should have burned out.
Therefore, in this battle there is no winner (although Ultramarine was more fortunate if he died instantly, pierced by a lightsaber, But Anakin was left to die from asphexia (or a burned out nervous system) crushed by the heavy Duraplast)

Тут же Вейдера просто чуть покасило, хотя у него все внутренности должны были превратиться в кашу
Ну Дарт Вейдер как никак познал темную сторону силы, и мог усилием воли швырять многотонные остовы кораблей в противника. Так что какой то там космодесантник навряд ли смог бы ему что то противопоставить. Ты, как и многие одноклеточные, недооцениваешь темную сторону силы.

This is probably the best example of most of the "would they survive Warhammer 40k"
In most cases it's likely the character can beat a space marine but as seen from the end the problem comes from how much it took to kill the marine.
Vader can kill a marine, but his survival afterwards is what's in question. He'd be fucked up from the fight, that really messes with survival odds
Especially since marines so rarely fight alone. He's going to get found out by the rest of that marines squad.
Also you need to question if the marine is actually dead. They survive wounds worse than that all the time, its possible he is merely unconcious. There are stories of Astarties with litterally half their head missing still alive and sometimes combat capable.

@@cgi2002 Idk if a lightsaber blade lingering inside his skull is survivable even by a space marine. They can take incredible damage but every second that blade sat inside of his skull it just continued to melt and incinerate his brains, like what happened to the double blast door that Qui-gon melts through in Episode 1.
@@zuriel6612 that blast door scene was analysed by if I remember by Kyle Hill (YT science guy) and using basic steel as its replacement for the door, numbers were crunched. It made lightsabres into a truly terrifying weapon (that and other scenes), they do feats that require frankly startling amounts of energy. Their power output is nearly comparable to the surface of a star in how rapidly it melted the metal door. With those numbers in mind merely activating it would kill everyone within 1000 miles instantly (it's that kind of hot).
But since that doesn't happen and how they behave (they don't when used in the rain constantly generate constant steam for example) their in universe lore is messy and clearly they aren't hot except when in contact with solid matter. So I based the attack not on it been a super heated energy blade anymore, as it's not technically in contact wit LG the brain anymore as it instantly cauterized the wound.
If it used the "heat damage" approach, its likely instantly fatal (his brain would turn into steam instantly and his head explode).
But then this was also a psyker, his "brain" isn't nessersarily in his head, he could have used warp magic to distribute itself throughout his body (or yours, or turn it into a pebble, the warps weird like that), that's not unheard of in 40k. That or just used warp powers ahead of time to make it so a fatal would will heal itself after the fact. Basically if you can think of it, the warp has a way to do it. Likely truth however is he is dead, but he won't mind, he has 999 brothers in the legion.
Honestly, him using Anakin's memories to attack him is what sealed his fate, it just made Vader more pist off which in turn made him stronger

That punch after the Marine gets stabbed is so satisfying. The way it syncs to the music, the buildup, everything about that is perfect.

If it's canon empire, the imperium has just exhausted military resources, that hastened their decline significantly. If it's legends empire the greater imperium doesn't last another millennium, unless the emporer himself comes back.

In canon the life support built into his chest was designed and built by a character called cylo. The rest of vader's suit/cybernetics were designed and modified by himself.

In canon, Vader made updates to his suit so he could fight his enemies more effectively after his quest to claim a lightsaber crystal from a Jedi, so it makes sense he would build it tougher.
I with there was a starwars series where the force itself was used as the main fighting power, rather than it being a helpful tool during tough fights. Like for example; honing the force into a razor thin compressed force blade and blasting it out at hypersonic speeds, cutting down entire city blocks in a matter of microseconds. Or a ring of rotational force that doesnt choke the opponent, but uses high impulse rotational force to snap their neck instantly. Or using the force to compress into a singular point inside a ship's reactor from outside the ship, causing an implosion point that results in the total destruction of said ship.
Was this Librarian seriously injured or his psychic training only at Lexicanum? Vader had like 20~30 years of training but an Astartes would have had at minimum 50+ years to become a proper Battle Brother, and certainly longer as a Librarian. The sheer combat skill with blades would have cut Vader down if it wasn't for Vader's Force powers against a normal Astartes. You have a Librarian who has at minimum similar powers as Vader but with superior armor and skills! Astartes armors have ceramite outer shell designed against high-temperature attacks such as laser (lasgun), plasma and flamers, although they are rather vulnerable to concentrated plasma so lightsaber could work, but it would work like Qui-Gon trying to penetrate the blast door by holding the lightsaber into the door for an extended time.
Still... so very enjoyable.
Very clever at the part where Vader stabbed the Space Marine Librarian. Some people forget the amount of redundancies Space Marines have. As Marvel Comic's Marneus Calgar series (Which is actually pretty good) has him note at one point, and I'm parapharsing here:

I wonder where Vader would rank on a psyker chart. He's the most powerful force user in Star Wars, but the force powers he has demonstrated are maybe on par with a Beta-level psyker in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, where Alpha-plus psykers literally cause planets to come apart on the seams and are capable of tearing reality apart to the point of causing hell (the warp) to spill into their reality.
Alpa would be Nihilus.

The marine’s Belisarian Furnace would kick in upon receiving the mortal wound, giving him healing and combat stimms. Should’ve made the tail end of the fight a little more even. Of course that is assuming the marine was Primaris

Vader can tank a ridiculous amount of damage by channeling his hate into pure power. Of course, as soon as the enemy was dead, Vader was done for.
It looked like some of it was malfunctioning. It's worth considering though that pain probably does nothing to incapacitate him though, as long as his body works in some way it probably makes him stronger.

Being lore accurate, those first rays of warp, will kill Vader in seconds, because of his vital support would disconnect, not talking about the energy discharge on his body. I don't think the lightsaber could traspase the power armor, but, I think that doesn't matter, the thing is, the punch, given after Vader stab one of his two hearts, would destroys Vaders torso and killing him in the act, plus the second rays, would just kill him in just a snap. By the way, the animation, it's excelent, I love it, great video

The librarian here just showed three tricks, when there are dozens of psyker abilities in 40k.
A Librarian is still a Librarian. At worst they are still among the most potent psykers in the Imperium.

It heavily depends on the librarian psychic mastery and skill. Also his psionic level.
Psykers are still dangerous by themselves, one could boil your blood or snap your organs. Also turning their flesh into living metal.
Give the animator a break pulling out all the psyker madlad shit would be hard to edit in and if your librarian sees how effective lighting is I beat he's (or you as a table top player) spamming the shit out of it.

Palpatine can't control Vader quite as well in the new canon as in the old because they are far closer in power (old canon Vader can and did consistently get ragdolled and brought to his knees from interstellar distances). Lightning or no because zero difference. Saying it's 'the only strong thing' he has is some pretty funny stuff, though, admittedly.

At 1:54 I feel like you could almost FEEL Vader's rage here, he had spent a life time of training, killing, battling, and more just to be nearly done in by some strange man in bright blue armor. You can just SEE him deny being the first one to die in this fight, and by simple bloody shear determination and dark side energy forced himself to walk over to the space marine and do him in.
