Ogre would made so much sense, since we are getting a story expansion and it's going to be focus on Jun. I want to see Armor King and Anna in the roster, but I also want to see other characters make a comeback: instead of Julia, give us Michelle. Instead of Fahkuram, bring back Bruce, etc...we need surprises

I feel Tekken should reveal season dlc characters in advance especially for those that buy the season pass. Maybe reveal 3 of 4 (assuming 4 characters) to maintain the element of surprise, to a certain extent. For now, I would love Heihachi to be added to DLC. I wouldn't mind orge as you mentioned. Edit I'm a huge Taki fan from soul caliber. That would be my guest character. But I understand the counter argument to her inclusion given kunimitsu in T7 and besides I'm super biased towards Taki.
Yeah, Kunimitsu, or if they bring back Master Raven, she's basically another Taki. I could imagine Xianghua for two reasons: A: her weapon is on the smaller side, and B: they could put in some crazy reason like the Soul Caliber transported her to modern day.
I'd do two Tekken characters and two guests. Armor King and Anna for the Tekken characters, a SNK rep like Iori Yagami or Rock Howard/Terry Bogard (to promote the new Fatal Fury), and Toji from Jujutsu Kaisen.
I do think there is a possibility of eventually having Kiryu in Virtua Fighter and even Tekken. It was mainly Nagoshi who was against the idea, but he has now moved on and formed his own studio, while Sega seems open to the idea of promoting their most famous IP's and biggest characters through cross promotions/cameos/merch.
It’s still 50/50 tbh cause a lot of those dudes at sega got mad respect for Nagoshi so it could still not happen but we could always get Majima (or Tanimura since they both hit women lol)

I know it may be less than likely to happen, BUT KIRYU IN TEKKEN WOULD BE SO HYPE. Tekken 8 has a heat mechanic. Yakuza has a heat mechanic. It would literally be perfect. They could even do something unique with the heat for Kiryu where instead, how most characters start with full heat, and once they use it, it’s gone, Kiryu can start with no heat and build it up, and once it reaches a certain point, he would gain benefits equivalent to what he would receive in the actual games (like slightly faster active frames or recovery on his moves, paralleling the Yakuza 0 heat mechanic). And instead of heat smash, he has a heat action that he can use to cash out his heat, and they can be unique with it too where it changes depending on the situation the opponent is in, like if they are against the wall or on the floor or in the air. I was thinking about this last week actually, and I think some implementation of that kind of Kiryu for Tekken 8 would be so dope, in my opinion.
Miguel: His street brawler style is really unique and adds to the series in my opinion. Also I feel like he'd add more drama and dynamics to story in the sense of Jin coming face to face with one of his many T6 victims...assuming they'd want to show it. Akira: With Virtua Fighter seemingly returning I feel like this would be a great cross promotion and give people a long awaited crossover. Ancient Ogre: Pretty much for the same reasons as what's said in the video. Could also be a new boss for Arcade Mode as well Julia: Before Lidia she was my favorite female character along with Nina so personally I'd like to see her return. Her old personality would be ideal but I think streamer Julia is here to stay after Tekken Bloodlines rewrote it into Tekken 3
I wouldn't be mad at this list at all. Akira is right at the top of my list of guest characters as well. I have a feeling we will see him before the games life is over.
After having Noctis in T7, none of the other guest characters surprised me lol. I'd have been fine with Negan as the launch guest, but he should've been in MK.
It's a shame too, because when someone asked Ed Boon on twitter for Guest Characters to be added to MK1, someone said Negan and I believe Ed said "Hasn't that already been done?".
armor king would be a great start for season 2 edit I also want to add Eliza back because shes has a unique fighting style they can make better in 8 also would be a great slot in for fall

Yujiro Hanma would be sick tho I can't imagine him being in the same season as a potential Ogre reveal because they are perhaps too similar. I know close to nothing about either of these characters but they give off the same vibe for sure. I'm one of these people who wants Tifa to get in and I've even considered her to be one of the very few characters that would get me to actually buy Tekken 8 but after having seen how this game plays I don't think even she could make me take the plunge lmao. I'll just keep watching from the sidelines and get hype over her or any other cool guest characters.
Since she isn't in the game and practically a staple, Julia is coming at some point I always love seeing Lei With the return of Jun, I could see Ogre coming back or, alternatively, even Unknown. Now the last one and my guest character (That I know for a fact will never happen, but let me dream) is Brad Hawk from the criminally underrated Ps2 Namco game "Urban Reign". A 3D fighter in the same style as Tekken 5's the Devil Within. He's already a Namco property, so I doubt it'd be too hard to add him in in terms of the legality of things. Again, I know this will never happen, considering that I know that only 4 people remember Urban Reign, but I'd love to see it anyway.
I could see Armor king, Miguel, Julia, Anna, or Lei for season 2. Ogre would be dope too. And in terms of guest characters they would probably want to go with someone more mainstream like a fighter from another very well-known series whether that’s a game or a show/movie instead of someone from an anime unless its a very popular one.
Let's see, what would my four picks be.... 1. Blaze Fielding, from Streets of Rage. I mean aside from the fact that I'm still drooling over this woman after like 30 years, she already has a pretty diverse toolkit of moves that would transfer well toTekken. They were already planning on making a fully 3D prototype version of Streets of Rage 4 back in the N64 days(might have come out later as Fighting Force, but with a different cast), so to see her or Axel or Adam shift from an arcade brawler to a proper 3D fighting game would breathe a new fanbase into Tekken that the franchise didn't even know it needed. 2. Blaidd the Half-Wolf, from Elden Ring. Considering Yoshimitsu can sheath and draw his sword at will for two different types of combat, it'd be interesting to see a brawling assassin like Blaidd utilize similar tech, but for a vastly different type of sword. Plus, it'd be hysterical to let him have a rivalry with King, and he's not sure if King's also a half-human hybrid. 3. Solid Snake from MGS. Honestly having him or Big Boss would both be equally fine choices. Dragunov is reppin' what looks like Systema, so having Snake rival that with his own unique blend of CQC would make for an interesting matchup, especially if he's allowed to utilize firearms and grenades. 4 Dan Hibiki. They already got Akuma, and Dan is only effective when he gets in your face, so it'd be interesting to see his newly unveiled taunt-cancel tech in a 3D fighter.
I second an elden ring character. With the success of elden ring and the revitalization of it via shadow of the erdtree dlc an npc character in tekken would be fire. But needs to be the right one, blaidd is a good idea. His model would be big like fakhumram size but not overally big, some people suggested godfrey, that man is bigger than gigas i think lol. If not maybe malenia or someone, someone not overly large that has an inherently cool and interesting moveset

I mean both games are under Bamco's flag, so borrowing from that franchise would cost barely any licensing money compared to DLC characters like Noctis or Negan. With all the goodwill Elden Ring has built with the fanbase, Harada would totally be leaving money on the table if he didn't do something with that franchise. To top it off, all the Soul Calibur fans waiting for the next sequel would at least have something to chew on with at least one more character that uses arms and armor. Even Melina would have a case here, since she'd probably have a similar fighting style to Jun.

I really want to see Christie Monteiro return in Tekken 8 with a revamped moveset, new storyline direction and a general fresh coat of paint, as she was a staple character in the earlier games, appearing in 3 mainline games and 4 spinoffs. Armor King, Anna Williams and Kunimitsu all started off as clone characters but then had their movesets revamped in later entries making them more unique. This has significantly increased their popularity with AK and Anna now being arguably more popular than their counterparts that they share a fighting style with (King & Nina). This is a practice that obviously works well and the devs would be dumb to not capitalize on this and do the same thing with Christie, as Christie's biggest downfall is the fact that she has always shared a moveset and storyline with Eddy.
Imo tekken doesn’t need to have any guest characters yet. We still have so many legacy that are yet in the game. Season 2 should have armor king/Anna/Miguel and Julia Chang

Akira Yuki from VF should be in Tekken 8, Brad Wong from DOA, Wang Ginrei from Tekken 2. Bruce from Tekken 2. Anna, Master Raven and Marduk with combot from Tekken 4. I wouldn't mind seeing Armor King back in tekken 8. Pretty hard core character imo
I largely agree with your take I think having both Ogres in Tekken would be great. I would think that season 2 should be more guest characters due to season 1 likely being returning characters. Any of these 4 would be Great to me. 1. Yujiro "The Ogre" Hanma 2. Big Boss- coincide with future MGS3 Remake. Have the white field from the end boss fight as a stage with an instrumental Snake Eater theme playing. 3. Rock Howard - because Garou City of the Wolves is coming out and his father is in the Tekken universe. 4. Tifa Lockhart because its easy money, female representation, and could come out with the Steam release of FF7 Rebirth.

For Season 2 My predictions are Anna, Lei Wulong, Miguel and Lastly Josie Rizal due to the fact that AK has been popping of in T8 so it kinda makes sense to have Filipino representative character. If one were to be a Guess character I’m leaning into Tifa or a Yakuza character because they fit Tekken with their Fighting Style
I think season 2 will introduce the guest character. I can see Terry Bogard or Rock Howard since they’ll be the focus of the new Fatal Fury and we’ve already had an SNK collab. But I could also see a Stellar Blade guest by how random the potential is. Otherwise, if they follow the trend, it’ll be the same characters from Tekken 7. It’s not hard for me to imagine Lei getting a rework. Even more difficult for me to imagine it not being brain dead
As much as I want A.King and Bob back, I think they had the right idea of following in MK's foot steps by having more pop culture characters in the game. Like they did with Noctis and Negan. How cool would it be for John Wick to be in the game and he has like a special intro with Victor? Or, what I've tried to petition for the last two years now, Rasputin from The King's Man. His Russian Dance style would be so unique and cool. And he could be Dragunov's rival.
Rasputin is a very interesting pick. Never thought of it myself tbh. With Negan, when he was selected The walking Dead was at the height of its popularity. I'm not sure how many eyes a character from the Kings Man will draw in. Would be interesting though.

Is Marduk is coming so for season 2: 1) Definitely AK for lore purposes and finish their beef with Marduk and King 2) Bark Doo San, cause yes, he got in a hospital. But maybe he healed. He is a Taekwondo user, but he can be more precise, not mashy like Hwoarang 3) Heihachi would be dope, if they could make him into the story like a flashback segment for Reina for example 4) Maybe a new original character, but full grappler with Judo
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Armor King, Miguel, Anna, and probably Julia in the next season. With how Harada has been talking about guilty gear it also is highly unlikely but not out of the realm of possibility that Sol Badguy could be added. I might be the only person who is happy about that but hey.
Great video - I understand that it “looks like” the next 2 characters are fahk & duck’ but the fact is bandai could understand that & pull a fast one. 100% agree about Ancient Ogre since it does help with the story mode aswell as True Ogre transformation gimmick. As for characters I'd like to see return it would be Wang, since It's been over a decade since we've seen him in a game. As for other characters, I'd like to see new ones instead of returning cast, since we only got 3 new characters for T8 it feels like there's lack of new content to engage with.
I totally agree on Armor King. I think two other characters that should come back are Miguel and Bob. Not a fan of those, but I admit they`ve become quite iconic to Tekken; actually, I have the theory that Bob is teased in Tekken 8 `cause in the New York stages you can see lots of ads, and one has a guy with the MAX word that looks kinda like Bob. For the fourth character I have two guesses based on a mocap video they shared on Twitter, where the actor wears a suit with a tail. This could mean Alex can return, but I also think it would be cool if King of Dinosaurs from KOFXIV and XV appeared as a guest character.
I was pretty certain Ogre was going to return because of Jun coming back, hark backs to Tekken 3 story and the Tekken Anime making him a big part of it. When he wasn't there it really threw me off. But I think DLC makes a lot of sense, now that we know a new Chapter is coming this season, featuring the new characters (Eddy shown so far).
They should just copy UNI2’s idea of not simplifying the gameplay and make Tekken 8 more complex and complicated like chess or UNI2, instead of just mindless unga bunga. That’s how Shamdai Scamco can fix Trashken 8.

Only character that would get me hyped for tekken 8 now is Christie monteiro for the years of absence in the game and the possibility to have her new design and her tekken 4 skins in the RE engine.

My four picks for season 2 would be: Armor King, Anna, Miguel, new or guest character. Armor King & Anna they are no brainers given they're talked about most. Miguel I'd say his Tekken 6 arc is still unresolved with Jin; so unless Bamco's intending to leave the character completely buried, I think it would make sense to bring him back to tie off those loose ends, given Tekken 8's main story is Jin's redemption arc. Character's got a pretty decent popularity too I think, so wouldn't be a bad choice. With new or guest character, with new I'd like to see a fighter with a new fight style - such as Pencak Silat for example (given those got popularized with the Raid films). Rugal from KOF I think might be a pretty dope guest character to add, but ngl in terms of gameplay wise he'd be a nightmare to fight against, unless they tone him down a bit to align him more with the Tekken cast. I like Ancient Ogre, but I actually wouldn't mind if he was a season 3 release.
100% Ancient Ogre. He's imposing, a redesign would be sick, as said in the video he could switch to True Ogre in heat, it just seems like a slam dunk. Miguel, even though I don't play him, I always like matching against him. Dr. Boskonovich (don't remember spelling, sorry). I remember him in T3 being absurdly complex, but heard he was kinda sucky in TT2, but never played it myself. I just think a such a weird niche legacy character could win back some fans. Mokujin. Could even have his heat activator switch to another random character's or something. Not to mention, since a lot of people complain that they can't practice against new characters without buying them, having a random character that potentially use a dlc character's move set could be a way to pull that off. Like, maybe keep it random still and don't give access to the move list for him or something, IDK. Bamco doesn't have the stones to do the last two though.
It's funny that we are already talking about S2 because of the S1 characters leak. Fine additions, I'm sure. But no one really asked for Lidia, Fak, and Marduk over Tekken's dozens of other legacy characters. In the past, I had a 100% prediction rate who'd be DLC outside guest characters (I NEVER would've expected Geese and Negan!) But now, even T7 newcomers are possible DLC. My opinion how they decided which legacy characters they'd bring back had to be based on moveset variation, character demand, and bringing ideal legacy characters into Unreal from the prior Tag 2 engine for future-proofing. I have a raw thought: The plan is to reintroduce SOME Tekken 7 characters (newcomer, legacy, DLC, etc.) into Tekken 8, but also share some of those DLC slots to other legacy characters that have YET to be introduced. There is a hard counter: Josie and Bruce won't be able to return because Fak is already planned as the premier T8 kickboxer, sure they are different overall but we're approaching this from a surface level idea. This idea alone shuts down many clone characters you'd pick from Tag 2 (Tiger, Christie, Angel, Violet, Miharu, Sebastian, P Jack, Beak, Forest, etc.) There is room to bring them back as of reintroducing Legacy movesets that have been heavily altered as of T7 and T8, but they'll be coming either at the end of T8's lifespan or T9's roster. Why bring up Tekken 9? Honestly, it's just so I can get Tag 3 lmao. We seen a pattern that a Tag game is introduced every 3 games. After Tekken 9, there should be a great amount of characters retooled for Unreal Engine and that may be the building process for starting another Tag game. Yeah, I'm that desperate for Tag 3. lol
My top picks for dlc characters would have to be ● Angel ● Armor King ● Katsumi or Doppo Orochi from Grappler Baki. I think these characters would fit quite well into Tekken and dont get talked about nearly as much when people bring up Baki ● Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. Another fictional Japanese Martial Arts character that would fit right in with T8 and its heat system. Bamco should really double down on bringing in Martial Arts characters from its own pop culture, theyre really sitting on a gold mine and thematically it would be a lot cooler than a Final Fantasy or zombie drama show imo
For me it would be Lei wulong (hes been my main since tekken 3) Anna Williams (the hotter sister and would love to see how shell look in 8) Leon from resident evil (its impossible but still a wish of mine) Yagami from the judgement games (again i know im stretching it but still would be cool)

My ideal Season 2 would be AK, Miguel, Bob, and Anna. If one character had to be axed in favour of a guest character then I would either put in Tifa Lockhart, Ryu Hayabusa, Akira Yuki, Daisaku Kuze in place of Bob. Yes... since Kiryu has small chances, I'm placing my bets on a Yakuza Villain as opposed to a Yakuza Hero. So why not Kuze? If no Guest Characters then that's what I would like Season 2 to be.
Anna Williams - The sister rivalry has been there from the beginning, and Nina ruined Anna's wedding. Bring her back. Lei Wulong - Jackie Chan as a police officer in a world in chaos. With Feng still walking free. Angel - The game is about angels and devils. And with Jun Kazama back, it's such an obvious choice. Plus I really want to play her again. Maybe excluding Reina, Angel is my favourite Mishima. I miss her and her screaming. Ogre (Either will do but prefer true.) - The Jun connection. But if they insist on having a guest character then replace Ogre with Tifa Lockhart - Tifa is a brawler and a such demanded character. She is a much better choice than any of the guests in Tekken 7.

I need some type of character to make me like this game again. I’ve been so bored and tired of doing the same crap with tekken 8. I want armor king for obvious reasons the aura the style and difference between him and king. 2. Miguel, I want to see him fight jin again and I’m hoping Miguel actually tried learning a fighting style and also really lean on how he fights using stuff like weapons and what not 3. Ryu Hayabusa, for the love of god I want to see ryu Hayabusa make a comeback in some shape or form. I like doa but I want to see him do some crazy crap in tekken 8. 4. I want them to make a new original character, I think it was cool that Lidia and Leroy came out of nowhere and made a somewhat good impression on ppl. I would like to see someone who is either Puerto Rican or Hawaiian as I think it would be really cool to see.
actually another guest character i'd love to see would be baki hanma (perfect for so many people and plus the manga hasn't been doing as well recently so it could boost interest besides the kengan crossover. I would say his dad but idk what fighting style he would have that would make since unless they made up demon orge or something lmao
Based on How often every character has been in a Tekken game the most likely new additions are 1. Heihachi Mishima 2. Anna Williams 3. Julia Chang 4. Lei Wulong Even though Heihachi is dead I'm 100% certain he will be playable DLC at some point & will probably be used for flashbacks in Anna Williams will probably be included at some point, she is really popular Julia Chang isn't as popular but Harada seemed to be implying she might be getting a redesign Lei Wulong is a bit of a toss up, he has a really low usage rate but he is also really popular, If Kuma & Panda are Base roster every game I'm pretty sure Lei will be DLC at some point but maybe not Season 2 As for my personal picks I would Like 1. Heihachi Mishima 2. Armor King 3. Eliza 4. Roger Jr. I like Mishima's & Heihachi is great. Armor King is great, pretty much everyone agrees on that I really like Eliza as a newcomer & would like to see her connection to Lili expanded upon Roger Jr. (or just Roger if they want to bring him back) Is such a fun character to me
I think because the game is doing well without Heihachi, we probably won't see him in this version. I can see them holding off until Tekken 9 to use him as the big selling point initially.

I mean most people who would buy Tekken 9 for Heihachi would buy it anyway, but a lot of people would buy Heihachi DLC over say Bruce Irvin or Bob Richards DLC.

Armor King and Ana are no brainers. It's true Ogre has a render but I don't think he is gonna be in Season 2, maybe 3 but for sure he is gonna be in the game. What I think are gonna be the next 2 (if we believe it's gonna be Armor King and Ana) is Miguel. Miguel has history with Jin and now that Jin is in his redemption arc, it makes sense to expand more on that, besides he is cool, has a unique brawl kinda brute force fighting style and was played quite a bit in T7. The last character I'm not sure, maybe Ogre as you said but what other characters are there worth season 2? Idk. Let's leave the 4th character for future guesses. Guest characters in the other hand, oh boy. I'd put some metal gear, maybe Snake or Raiden. I don't think another Street fighter is gonna come back, however, Harada and Yoshinori had a funny interaction maybe hinting something, or maybe they were just playing idk. We had a Final Fantasy character, a King of Fighters and Negan himself, so anything is possibe. We might even see Leon S. Kennedy in Tekken, or a Soul calibur character, who knows. But those are my guesses.
I would start off season 2 by giving us Bruce. He was requested frequently and I believe they can make him different from Fahkumram. Next would be Bob, due to me needing my Tekken 7 main back. I would also throw Julia in there as a legacy pick and end off the season giving folks Miguel

I feel Tekken should reveal season dlc characters in advance especially for those that buy the season pass. Maybe reveal 3 of 4 (assuming 4 characters) to maintain the element of surprise, to a certain extent.
For now, I would love Heihachi to be added to DLC. I wouldn't mind orge as you mentioned.
Edit I'm a huge Taki fan from soul caliber. That would be my guest character. But I understand the counter argument to her inclusion given kunimitsu in T7 and besides I'm super biased towards Taki.
Yeah, Kunimitsu, or if they bring back Master Raven, she's basically another Taki. I could imagine Xianghua for two reasons: A: her weapon is on the smaller side, and B: they could put in some crazy reason like the Soul Caliber transported her to modern day.
I'd do two Tekken characters and two guests. Armor King and Anna for the Tekken characters, a SNK rep like Iori Yagami or Rock Howard/Terry Bogard (to promote the new Fatal Fury), and Toji from Jujutsu Kaisen.

I do think there is a possibility of eventually having Kiryu in Virtua Fighter and even Tekken. It was mainly Nagoshi who was against the idea, but he has now moved on and formed his own studio, while Sega seems open to the idea of promoting their most famous IP's and biggest characters through cross promotions/cameos/merch.
Would be a dream come true.

I know it may be less than likely to happen, BUT KIRYU IN TEKKEN WOULD BE SO HYPE. Tekken 8 has a heat mechanic. Yakuza has a heat mechanic. It would literally be perfect. They could even do something unique with the heat for Kiryu where instead, how most characters start with full heat, and once they use it, it’s gone, Kiryu can start with no heat and build it up, and once it reaches a certain point, he would gain benefits equivalent to what he would receive in the actual games (like slightly faster active frames or recovery on his moves, paralleling the Yakuza 0 heat mechanic). And instead of heat smash, he has a heat action that he can use to cash out his heat, and they can be unique with it too where it changes depending on the situation the opponent is in, like if they are against the wall or on the floor or in the air. I was thinking about this last week actually, and I think some implementation of that kind of Kiryu for Tekken 8 would be so dope, in my opinion.

Miguel: His street brawler style is really unique and adds to the series in my opinion. Also I feel like he'd add more drama and dynamics to story in the sense of Jin coming face to face with one of his many T6 victims...assuming they'd want to show it.
Akira: With Virtua Fighter seemingly returning I feel like this would be a great cross promotion and give people a long awaited crossover.
Ancient Ogre: Pretty much for the same reasons as what's said in the video. Could also be a new boss for Arcade Mode as well
Julia: Before Lidia she was my favorite female character along with Nina so personally I'd like to see her return. Her old personality would be ideal but I think streamer Julia is here to stay after Tekken Bloodlines rewrote it into Tekken 3

Yujiro Hanma would be sick tho I can't imagine him being in the same season as a potential Ogre reveal because they are perhaps too similar. I know close to nothing about either of these characters but they give off the same vibe for sure.
I'm one of these people who wants Tifa to get in and I've even considered her to be one of the very few characters that would get me to actually buy Tekken 8 but after having seen how this game plays I don't think even she could make me take the plunge lmao. I'll just keep watching from the sidelines and get hype over her or any other cool guest characters.

With the return of Jun, I could see Ogre coming back or, alternatively, even Unknown.
Now the last one and my guest character (That I know for a fact will never happen, but let me dream) is Brad Hawk from the criminally underrated Ps2 Namco game "Urban Reign". A 3D fighter in the same style as Tekken 5's the Devil Within. He's already a Namco property, so I doubt it'd be too hard to add him in in terms of the legality of things. Again, I know this will never happen, considering that I know that only 4 people remember Urban Reign, but I'd love to see it anyway.
I could see Armor king, Miguel, Julia, Anna, or Lei for season 2. Ogre would be dope too. And in terms of guest characters they would probably want to go with someone more mainstream like a fighter from another very well-known series whether that’s a game or a show/movie instead of someone from an anime unless its a very popular one.
Let's see, what would my four picks be....
1. Blaze Fielding, from Streets of Rage. I mean aside from the fact that I'm still drooling over this woman after like 30 years, she already has a pretty diverse toolkit of moves that would transfer well toTekken. They were already planning on making a fully 3D prototype version of Streets of Rage 4 back in the N64 days(might have come out later as Fighting Force, but with a different cast), so to see her or Axel or Adam shift from an arcade brawler to a proper 3D fighting game would breathe a new fanbase into Tekken that the franchise didn't even know it needed.
2. Blaidd the Half-Wolf, from Elden Ring. Considering Yoshimitsu can sheath and draw his sword at will for two different types of combat, it'd be interesting to see a brawling assassin like Blaidd utilize similar tech, but for a vastly different type of sword. Plus, it'd be hysterical to let him have a rivalry with King, and he's not sure if King's also a half-human hybrid.
3. Solid Snake from MGS. Honestly having him or Big Boss would both be equally fine choices. Dragunov is reppin' what looks like Systema, so having Snake rival that with his own unique blend of CQC would make for an interesting matchup, especially if he's allowed to utilize firearms and grenades.
4 Dan Hibiki. They already got Akuma, and Dan is only effective when he gets in your face, so it'd be interesting to see his newly unveiled taunt-cancel tech in a 3D fighter.

I second an elden ring character. With the success of elden ring and the revitalization of it via shadow of the erdtree dlc an npc character in tekken would be fire. But needs to be the right one, blaidd is a good idea. His model would be big like fakhumram size but not overally big, some people suggested godfrey, that man is bigger than gigas i think lol. If not maybe malenia or someone, someone not overly large that has an inherently cool and interesting moveset

I mean both games are under Bamco's flag, so borrowing from that franchise would cost barely any licensing money compared to DLC characters like Noctis or Negan. With all the goodwill Elden Ring has built with the fanbase, Harada would totally be leaving money on the table if he didn't do something with that franchise. To top it off, all the Soul Calibur fans waiting for the next sequel would at least have something to chew on with at least one more character that uses arms and armor. Even Melina would have a case here, since she'd probably have a similar fighting style to Jun.

I really want to see Christie Monteiro return in Tekken 8 with a revamped moveset, new storyline direction and a general fresh coat of paint, as she was a staple character in the earlier games, appearing in 3 mainline games and 4 spinoffs.
Armor King, Anna Williams and Kunimitsu all started off as clone characters but then had their movesets revamped in later entries making them more unique. This has significantly increased their popularity with AK and Anna now being arguably more popular than their counterparts that they share a fighting style with (King & Nina). This is a practice that obviously works well and the devs would be dumb to not capitalize on this and do the same thing with Christie, as Christie's biggest downfall is the fact that she has always shared a moveset and storyline with Eddy.
Unknown would be an insane dlc character, or could be a whole new character entirely if they give her wolf spirit thingy some lore

2. Big Boss- coincide with future MGS3 Remake. Have the white field from the end boss fight as a stage with an instrumental Snake Eater theme playing.
3. Rock Howard - because Garou City of the Wolves is coming out and his father is in the Tekken universe.
4. Tifa Lockhart because its easy money, female representation, and could come out with the Steam release of FF7 Rebirth.
Rock being included would be cool since he's got a new game coming out. Wouldn't be mad at any of these (apart from Tifa. I hope that doesn't happen).

For Season 2 My predictions are Anna, Lei Wulong, Miguel and Lastly Josie Rizal due to the fact that AK has been popping of in T8 so it kinda makes sense to have Filipino representative character. If one were to be a Guess character I’m leaning into Tifa or a Yakuza character because they fit Tekken with their Fighting Style
I think season 2 will introduce the guest character. I can see Terry Bogard or Rock Howard since they’ll be the focus of the new Fatal Fury and we’ve already had an SNK collab. But I could also see a Stellar Blade guest by how random the potential is. Otherwise, if they follow the trend, it’ll be the same characters from Tekken 7. It’s not hard for me to imagine Lei getting a rework. Even more difficult for me to imagine it not being brain dead

His Russian Dance style would be so unique and cool. And he could be Dragunov's rival.
Rasputin is a very interesting pick. Never thought of it myself tbh. With Negan, when he was selected The walking Dead was at the height of its popularity. I'm not sure how many eyes a character from the Kings Man will draw in. Would be interesting though.

100% agree about Ancient Ogre since it does help with the story mode aswell as True Ogre transformation gimmick.
As for characters I'd like to see return it would be Wang, since It's been over a decade since we've seen him in a game.
As for other characters, I'd like to see new ones instead of returning cast, since we only got 3 new characters for T8 it feels like there's lack of new content to engage with.

I think two other characters that should come back are Miguel and Bob. Not a fan of those, but I admit they`ve become quite iconic to Tekken; actually, I have the theory that Bob is teased in Tekken 8 `cause in the New York stages you can see lots of ads, and one has a guy with the MAX word that looks kinda like Bob.
For the fourth character I have two guesses based on a mocap video they shared on Twitter, where the actor wears a suit with a tail. This could mean Alex can return, but I also think it would be cool if King of Dinosaurs from KOFXIV and XV appeared as a guest character.

I was pretty certain Ogre was going to return because of Jun coming back, hark backs to Tekken 3 story and the Tekken Anime making him a big part of it. When he wasn't there it really threw me off. But I think DLC makes a lot of sense, now that we know a new Chapter is coming this season, featuring the new characters (Eddy shown so far).

My four picks for season 2 would be:

Armor King & Anna they are no brainers given they're talked about most.
Miguel I'd say his Tekken 6 arc is still unresolved with Jin; so unless Bamco's intending to leave the character completely buried, I think it would make sense to bring him back to tie off those loose ends, given Tekken 8's main story is Jin's redemption arc. Character's got a pretty decent popularity too I think, so wouldn't be a bad choice.
With new or guest character, with new I'd like to see a fighter with a new fight style - such as Pencak Silat for example (given those got popularized with the Raid films).
Rugal from KOF I think might be a pretty dope guest character to add, but ngl in terms of gameplay wise he'd be a nightmare to fight against, unless they tone him down a bit to align him more with the Tekken cast.

Not to mention, since a lot of people complain that they can't practice against new characters without buying them, having a random character that potentially use a dlc character's move set could be a way to pull that off. Like, maybe keep it random still and don't give access to the move list for him or something, IDK.

But no one really asked for Lidia, Fak, and Marduk over Tekken's dozens of other legacy characters.
In the past, I had a 100% prediction rate who'd be DLC outside guest characters (I NEVER would've expected Geese and Negan!)
But now, even T7 newcomers are possible DLC.
My opinion how they decided which legacy characters they'd bring back had to be based on moveset variation, character demand, and bringing ideal legacy characters into Unreal from the prior Tag 2 engine for future-proofing.
I have a raw thought:
The plan is to reintroduce SOME Tekken 7 characters (newcomer, legacy, DLC, etc.) into Tekken 8, but also share some of those DLC slots to other legacy characters that have YET to be introduced.
There is a hard counter:
Josie and Bruce won't be able to return because Fak is already planned as the premier T8 kickboxer, sure they are different overall but we're approaching this from a surface level idea.
This idea alone shuts down many clone characters you'd pick from Tag 2 (Tiger, Christie, Angel, Violet, Miharu, Sebastian, P Jack, Beak, Forest, etc.)
There is room to bring them back as of reintroducing Legacy movesets that have been heavily altered as of T7 and T8, but they'll be coming either at the end of T8's lifespan or T9's roster.

We seen a pattern that a Tag game is introduced every 3 games.
After Tekken 9, there should be a great amount of characters retooled for Unreal Engine and that may be the building process for starting another Tag game.

Rock Howard should be the guest character, Geese was the best quest in T7 and would be great cross promotion with Garuo: Mark of the Wolves 2
I want Bob for season 2. And I'm cool with Lidia coming soon. She looks nice. Just wishing she was a base roster character.
My top picks for dlc characters would have to be
● Angel
● Armor King
● Katsumi or Doppo Orochi from Grappler Baki. I think these characters would fit quite well into Tekken and dont get talked about nearly as much when people bring up Baki
● Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. Another fictional Japanese Martial Arts character that would fit right in with T8 and its heat system.
Bamco should really double down on bringing in Martial Arts characters from its own pop culture, theyre really sitting on a gold mine and thematically it would be a lot cooler than a Final Fantasy or zombie drama show imo
The Baki love is great. Would be such a shame if we didn't see someone from that anime represented in the game.

Anna Williams (the hotter sister and would love to see how shell look in 8)
Leon from resident evil (its impossible but still a wish of mine)
Yagami from the judgement games (again i know im stretching it but still would be cool)

My ideal Season 2 would be AK, Miguel, Bob, and Anna. If one character had to be axed in favour of a guest character then I would either put in Tifa Lockhart, Ryu Hayabusa, Akira Yuki, Daisaku Kuze in place of Bob. Yes... since Kiryu has small chances, I'm placing my bets on a Yakuza Villain as opposed to a Yakuza Hero. So why not Kuze? If no Guest Characters then that's what I would like Season 2 to be.
Anna Williams - The sister rivalry has been there from the beginning, and Nina ruined Anna's wedding. Bring her back.
Lei Wulong - Jackie Chan as a police officer in a world in chaos. With Feng still walking free.
Angel - The game is about angels and devils. And with Jun Kazama back, it's such an obvious choice. Plus I really want to play her again. Maybe excluding Reina, Angel is my favourite Mishima. I miss her and her screaming.
Ogre (Either will do but prefer true.) - The Jun connection.
But if they insist on having a guest character then replace Ogre with Tifa Lockhart - Tifa is a brawler and a such demanded character. She is a much better choice than any of the guests in Tekken 7.
Julia, Ganryu and Anna and 1 guest character for season 2. They are good legacy chars that should be in the game
I don't think Ganryu will return tbh. I think he was one of the most unpopular characters from 7.
I really, REALLY want a Baki character, that would be so fitting. My other craziest pick would be something insane like a Jujutsu Kaisen character or something 😳😳😳

I want armor king for obvious reasons the aura the style and difference between him and king.
2. Miguel, I want to see him fight jin again and I’m hoping Miguel actually tried learning a fighting style and also really lean on how he fights using stuff like weapons and what not
3. Ryu Hayabusa, for the love of god I want to see ryu Hayabusa make a comeback in some shape or form. I like doa but I want to see him do some crazy crap in tekken 8.
4. I want them to make a new original character, I think it was cool that Lidia and Leroy came out of nowhere and made a somewhat good impression on ppl. I would like to see someone who is either Puerto Rican or Hawaiian as I think it would be really cool to see.
4 characters i think they could do would be ganryu, orge, Mokujin and 1 guest character ( i really want it to be bison if sf6 doesn't get him)
actually another guest character i'd love to see would be baki hanma (perfect for so many people and plus the manga hasn't been doing as well recently so it could boost interest besides the kengan crossover. I would say his dad but idk what fighting style he would have that would make since unless they made up demon orge or something lmao

1. Heihachi Mishima

Even though Heihachi is dead I'm 100% certain he will be playable DLC at some point & will probably be used for flashbacks in
Anna Williams will probably be included at some point, she is really popular
Julia Chang isn't as popular but Harada seemed to be implying she might be getting a redesign
Lei Wulong is a bit of a toss up, he has a really low usage rate but he is also really popular, If Kuma & Panda are Base roster every game I'm pretty sure Lei will be DLC at some point but maybe not Season 2

I think because the game is doing well without Heihachi, we probably won't see him in this version. I can see them holding off until Tekken 9 to use him as the big selling point initially.

I mean most people who would buy Tekken 9 for Heihachi would buy it anyway, but a lot of people would buy Heihachi DLC over say Bruce Irvin or Bob Richards DLC.

If they dropped Ogre and then released Mokujin as a free bonus 5th fighter they'd earn back some respect after the whole tekken shop bs. Plus having mokujin would fit the lore reason of him waking up for strong opponents

Armor King and Ana are no brainers. It's true Ogre has a render but I don't think he is gonna be in Season 2, maybe 3 but for sure he is gonna be in the game. What I think are gonna be the next 2 (if we believe it's gonna be Armor King and Ana) is Miguel. Miguel has history with Jin and now that Jin is in his redemption arc, it makes sense to expand more on that, besides he is cool, has a unique brawl kinda brute force fighting style and was played quite a bit in T7. The last character I'm not sure, maybe Ogre as you said but what other characters are there worth season 2? Idk. Let's leave the 4th character for future guesses.
Guest characters in the other hand, oh boy. I'd put some metal gear, maybe Snake or Raiden. I don't think another Street fighter is gonna come back, however, Harada and Yoshinori had a funny interaction maybe hinting something, or maybe they were just playing idk. We had a Final Fantasy character, a King of Fighters and Negan himself, so anything is possibe. We might even see Leon S. Kennedy in Tekken, or a Soul calibur character, who knows. But those are my guesses.
