great grading job. Always amazed that the government forces people to spend $10 to $20K on a system to take care of shit. Composting toilets are so much easier and cheaper.

Nice job Boss man! First time I've seen that system, I've done the sand mound type but never used the infiltrator tubes like them. I'm kinda old school and prefer the perforated pipe and gravel filled ditches. Not a fan of the gravel less system with the perforated pipe W/ a sock either, I've seen them fail over time or extreme use.

@Zero Bubble I hear what you're saying but if you've seen how it comes out, the home owner would need only to seed. Now, he needs more topsoil and has a lot of manual raking and will it come out perfectly even? Now the HO does have a tractor so that is what he'll most likely use. None the less, I still enjoy watching DIRT BOSS do his thing and first time I've seen a system like this one. Take care!

I'm in Georgia. Appalachian area. I rarely have to do a raised bed system here. If we need to move a system out of a wet area usually the HD just makes us find a zone uphill in dryer ground and use a pump system to infiltrators. But away from this area I've been involved in some of these systems. What would this system typically cost? Total? Or the contractor price charged to customer minus materials. How do you realize the time of rain, waiting to dry, waiting on inspector while your stuff just sits there? Some of that has to be considered? Also, what kind of psychology do you use on customer to understand the unknowns? Like for example, the unknown of how damaged the rest of the yard will be from trucks backing in and tearing it up or whatever? Competition will leave out variables to look cheaper and then lay it on someone at the end. I have a hard time because I explain the unknowns too much and it worries them and someone else sells them a better story. I want to tell them possibilities up front so they don't get caught off guard but it can backfire. Make sense? Thanks

This is very interesting. Like a combination between a leech field and a sand mound. I installed our sand mound, and one for our neighbor. 20 years later mine is failing due to bio mass or something to that effect not allowing the water to drain down through the bottom. I'm considering just adding on a section of this stuff to it. Or replacing it to original spec and diverting the kitchen sink and laundry.

I’d rather have that mound than the Presby system Vermont requires. For a 3 bedroom house we have a 4 ft high and 48 ft long mound. And, of course, there are two thousand gallon tanks; the second of which is the gray water pump station since the mound is “uphill”. Easy to spend $25K or more. Nice job on the grading Mike. The ground surface below and between should be scarified (remove top 4 to 6") of organize material (grass, vegetation) this provides a better infiltrative surface. National trade orgs recommend tis and some jurisdictions require it. Additionally, the distribution box should be 5 or more feet away to prevent destabilization from saturated soil. The entry point chambers are the first points to saturate and this will cause unequal distribution, not the intention.
